Believing In Love Again
A Toast.
The ceremony began at 12PM. The bridesmaids held bouquet of flowers in their hands.
The groomsmen's were standing there handsomely in their tuxedos patiently waiting. Then everyone stood up from their seats to respect the bride and father of the bride (Matt Manson) entrance. Lila and her dad (Matt Manson) walked down the aisle slowly towards the alter. It was just like the rehearsals yesterday. Once they got to the end of the alter, Matt Manson lets go of Lila and she gave him a kiss on the cheek. Lila gives me the bouquet of flower she was holding and held onto Kai’s hand. The pastor says the wedding speech. Lila and Kai agrees and concludes with their “i do”. They were finally married and walked down the aisle together all happily. Everyone was so happy for them and we threw flowers in the air to celebrate their marriage.
Once the wedding ceremony was done, it was already 1:30PM. All of the the guest went inside of the lake house to rest up and relax before heading over to the reception dinner. I got to talk to majority of the guests that Lila invited. It was quite an interesting afternoon.
Onto hours later. [5PM] Everyone got dressed and arrived at the reception dinner. They took their seats at the assigned tables. Everything was so pretty. From the lights, tables, decorations, it was all perfect. Lila was so happy with the end result.
Lila’s Dad (Matt Manson) made an announcement before the waiters serving the food.
Matt Manson : Ladies and Gentlemen.
Matt Manson : thank you everyone for coming out to Lila’s and Kai’s wedding day.
Matt Manson : for some of you don't know me, i'm Matt Manson, the father of the bride.
Matt Manson : i never thought this day would come for my daughter.
Matt Manson : i'm so glad that she had found someone who completely cherishes her for herself.
Matt Manson : i love you Lila and i wish for the next journey to be the greatest in your life.
Matt Manson : my son-in-law Kai. thank you for choosing my daughter and loving her.
Matt Manson : now it's your turn to take care of her.

Matt Manson sat down in his seat and the next few speeches were told by us.
It was in the order ; Ryan (Best Man), Me - Lila (Maid of Honor), Cecelia Terrance (Kai’s Stepmom), Tom Terrance (Kai’s Dad), Kai (Groom), Lila (Bride).
Ryan : friends and family. Im Ryan, the best man or Kai’s best friend.
Ryan : we’ve known each other since high school. He is more than a friend but a brother to me.
Ryan : i remember the day he told us guys about him dating a girl named Lila.
Ryan : he was so happy and couldn't wait to tell us the news.
Ryan : we were all so happy when he purpose to her.
Ryan : from that day on, i knew that he would never love anyone else besides Lila.
Ryan : though i just recently met Lila but i know they will have a great life together.

Jane : im Jane, maid of honor and best friend of Lila’s.
Jane : it's funny how we talked about this day a while back before this all started.
Jane : Lila dreamt of this day for years since i've known her.
Jane : now that it has come, i couldn't be more happy for her.
Jane : I'm so happy to see my best friend get marry to the love of her life.
Jane : I wish the both of you a great new life together.
Jane : This journey has just began for the two of you.

As Cecelia Terrance (Kai’s Stepmom), Tom Terrance (Kai’s Dad), Kai (Groom), Lila (Bride) were doing their speech at the reception, i took some time to leave and get some fresh air outside. I needed some air to breathe and time to think. I thought about how afterwards everything is going to be back the way it is. Me and my job, Lila all married, and Ryan moving on with his life. I was thinking about if i did the right thing in walking away from it all and not believing anymore. It was too good to be true. I was standing there in front of the lake taking it all in when Lila came out standing next to me talking..
Lila : hey.
Jane (*looks at Lila & says) : hey.
Lila : that was a nice speech back there. I really liked how you quoted Nicholas Sparks.
Jane : i remember you always reading his books.
Lila : i still do.
Jane : congratulations Lila. i'm really happy for you and Kai.
Lila (*smiles & says) : we couldn't be any happier together.
Lila (*asks) : what about you ? are you happy with your life ?
Jane : i wouldn't call it happiness.
Lila (*asks) : why is that ?
Jane : i felt like i messed up when it comes to relationships.
Jane : sometimes, i think i shouldn't even be in a relationship if i'm like that.
Lila : mistakes are a part of life. Nobody is perfect and we all can't have the perfect life.
Lila (*says & asks) : it wouldn't be fun if we didn't mess up, would it ?

Jane : but still, i'm terrible at it. Because of one mistake, i push people away.
Jane : just like how i did with Scott and Ryan.
Lila : my brother will learn to let go very soon and Ryan will forgive you one day.
Lila : but today, i want you to look past it and move on just like any other day.

We both smiled at each other and walked into the reception together. We are best friends for a reason and Lila made me feel better. She would always find a way to comfort me even if it's tough. That night, Julie Manson (Lila’s Mom), Cecelia Terrance (Kai’s Stepmom), Alanis (Lila’s friend), Kim (Lila’s friend), Devon (Kai’s friend), Jon (Kai’s friend), Matt Manson (Lila’s Dad) and Tom Terrance (Kai’s Dad) all drove back to the city. Me, Lila, Ryan, Scott, Kai, and Natalia stayed at the lake house until the morning to leave.
