《Luna's P.O.V》

Decorations, check. Gifts, check. Invitations, check. Cake... where is that guy anyway?

As almost as if it was a sign from above, I heard an alarm ring... a smoke alarm.
I was outside of Jenny's house, keeping the lookout for her birthday party. I didn't hear the alarm until I started pacing in front of the entrance of her house, hoping that Moonbin, Eunwoo, and Raina did their jobs properly.

I sprinted past Jenny's brother, Minjae, who was basically camping in the living room and I managed to see Jin Jin and Rocky in their own worlds decorating the living room space, ignoring the alarm. I ran to the staircase that leads to Jenny's room and shouted.

"Sanha! Change stations early, head outside!"

Sanha, who was stationed upstairs for lookout in Jenny's room, almost appeared downstairs and headed outside of the house. Using this as my chance, I slid to the kitchen to find the source of the alarm.

It was if a tornado struck.

Cake batter and icing splatters decorated the white counter tops. Burnt cake and cupcake pans lounged in the sink. The trash bin overflowed with flour bags and milk cartons.

Approximately 1 hour before Eunwoo, Raina, Moonbin, and Jenny return from shopping and we don't even have a cake that's in one piece!

"KIM MYUNGJOON!"

《MJ's P.O.V》

I scanned Jenny's kitchen for cake recipes for the 1000th time already.

Wait... since I don't where anything is, why don't I ask someone who lives here!
I ran to the living room and stood in front of the TV.

"YAH! South Korea was just about to score!" Minjae yelled, almost knocking his cup off the coffee table.

"Ah~ Hyung. I was just wondering where you kept all of your recipes." I blocked the TV so I could get an answer from him. "Cake, perhaps?"

"I don't cook," Minjae replied in an annoyed tone.
"Ah! That's just ex-" Wait. "Then who does?" I asked with hope.

"Jenny does, now get out of the way!" He answered, trying to swat me from in front of the TV screen.

There's no point, I just have to believe in- wait, what's that?

I heard a loud beeping noise and I sprinted back to the kitchen.
I looked over the oven and saw that the oven setting was on BROIL instead of BAKE.

I must have changed it to the wrong setting when I was watching 'Jun and Mingyu's Night Eating Show'!

I grabbed the nearest baking pan and started fanning the smoke from the smoke alarm.


Earlier This Morning... 《Narrator》

"Milk, flour... Oh no!" MJ checked off his baking list on his own shopping trip as he walked back to Jenny's house.

"I forgot the eggs..." He lowered his voice as he saw Luna run outside as if she was looking for someone.

"Ah! MJ, did you get everything from the store?" Luna ran towards him. "U-Uh... of course! I'm ready to start baking!" MJ nervously exclaimed. "Awesome! Also, Jin Jin and Rocky said that the normal chocolate cake is too boring,"

MJ's smile slowly faded as he realized he couldn't get away with forgetting the eggs. "They said Red Velvet would suit Jenny's personality better." Luna smiled to Jin Jin and Rocky's suggestion.

"And don't worry, I already bought the cake mix. Because who would be dumb enough to forget anything else?" Luna laughed. "R-right!" MJ tried to laugh at her joke.

Little did she know. He made that exact mistake.
