=== MOONBIN'S POINT OF VIEW ===

I didn’t want to be left with Eunwoo, but what choice did I have? Suzy casually walked out of the classroom and disappeared outside.
After a few minutes of silence, I scratched my head. “I’m going out-”
“Let’s talk in the hallway,” he muttered, pointing his head toward our classmates. It was clear to us that they were trying to eavesdrop.

I shut the classroom door behind me and make sure the classroom windows were sealed. After looking around the empty hallway for any teachers, we finally faced each other.

“Stay away from Suzy,” he said, “I know what you’re going to do. After all, mistakes can happen again. You’ll only cause trouble, just like what you did with-” I pushed him toward the wall and pinned him there.

“Don’t talk about her,” I threatened, “don’t say her name ever again.” Eunwoo waved my hands away off his shoulders. Why was he even talking to me? I chuckle at the ground and look back at him.

“Eunwoo,” I questioned with a Joker-like grin, “why are you paying so much attention to me? It’s pretty rare nowadays to even see you with to me.”

“Because..” he paused, “because I know you’re going to hurt Suzy.” Suzy? Does he like her? Well, at least he’s acknowledging me.

“The only person I’ll ever hurt is you.” I bluntly said. Before I could walk away, he punched my cheek. What is he even thinking? We’re still in school! I stumble a bit but manage to stand back up to punch his stomach. Too late to back out now.

“Let’s stop, Eunwoo.” I said, pausing, only to receive another quick punch.

“Not just yet.” What is planning? Won’t the teachers notice? Soon, while our fist fight continued, the bell for break rung. All the teachers scurry downstairs for a meeting, not noticing their two students. I guess not.
Eventually, the other kids start to notice our battle. They rallied up and blocked the two sides of the hallways, creating two hordes. From my perspective, I was dodging more than I was punching. Wow, Eunwoo, you must have been waiting to fight me for a really long time.
Soon, out of the corner of my eye, I spot Suzy appear in the midst of the crowd. Eunwoo, why are you still fighting? All of a sudden, another girl tries to hold Eunwoo back while Suzy tries to stop me. Once Eunwoo notices Suzy holding my waist, he finally stops.

“Are the two of you alright?” Suzy asked.

“We’re-” I begin, only to be interrupted by that other girl.

“Eunwoo! I was so worried! Why were you fighting?” she said in a concerned tone. Cha Eunwoo, how many girls have you been flirting with? Tch. You need to maintain your perfect “top student” image, you know.

"This...This," I started, "This isn't over yet." We haven’t finished talking yet. He storms off and so do I, in the opposite direction, of course, making the watching crowd of students disperse. I needed to be alone. I casually walk up the stairs to the rooftop. When I step out onto the rooftop, I find two familiar sunbaes playing Like A Cat by AOA from their phone, sharing the books and magazines on the floor, laughing like there’s no tomorrow. That used to be Eunwoo and I. I open the door to walk back out.

“Hey, Moonbin!” I stop walking. “Do you want to join us?” I turn around to see the one with the blonde hair, JinJin, waving at me. I waved back at him.

After telling them what just happened, they sat there in disbelief.

“Let me get this straight, Moonbin,” said MJ, “Your friend has this friend but they aren’t friends anymore.” I nodded my head.

“And this new girl came to school and so your friend’s ex-friend possibly likes her so your friend’s ex-friend told your friend to stay away from her but your friend just wants to be friends with her even though your friend has a bad reputation?” JinJin explained.

“Basically.” I mumbled and played with some of the rubble on the ground. Both MJ and JinJin sighed in disbelief. I wish they were in my class instead of being one grade above me. They don’t judge people so quickly like everyone else. The bell rang to signal the end of break.

“Oh poo! What are we going to do?” wondered MJ, “We’re going to be late again!” He started packing his backpack, shoving a comic book in his sweater in a hurry. “Let’s talk about your friend after school.”

“You can visit us sunbaes whenever you want!” said JinJin, standing up. “Are you going to class, Moonbin?”

“I’m going to stay here for a while.” They nodded their heads in approval and run off to class. I need time to recollect my thoughts. What did I exactly do and what should I do? Once the class rang for class to start, I lay down with hands on my chest to stare at the sky above. I feel like I can relate that one cloud that's isolated from the others, quiet and alone.

=== (YOU) YOON SUZY'S POINT OF VIEW ===

You munch on your bread Sohyun and Rocky had bought for you on the way to class. All the other students were chattering at the front of the class about what happened between Eunwoo and Moonbin while the three of you were quietly standing in the back of the classroom. After explaining to Sohyun and Rocky what they had missed a few minutes ago, they looked at each other with a concerned look on their eyes.

“Suzy,” whispered Sohyun after checking to see if anyone was listening, “did you know that Moonbin and Eunwoo used to be friends?” You gape, covering your mouth with both hands. Why were they fighting?

“We don’t really know the exact details,” Rocky admitted, staring at his feet, “but Eunwoo lost trust in Moonbin completely and Moonbin became the school bully. We weren’t friends with them back then but, according to Eunwoo, they were pretty close.”

“Does everyone else know that they were friends once?” You question, still wondering about what Moonbin could have done to lose Eunwoo’s faith.

“I don’t think so. Back then, it was only Eunwoo and Moonbin. Nobody really seemed to notice them until Eunwoo became the top student and Moonbin became a bully… but that was after their friendship fell apart.”

“Was…” You stop talking to recollect your thoughts. “Was Eunwoo always so nice?” Rocky blinked her eyes and stared at Sohyun to let her say her opinion.

“Like Rocky said, nobody really paid attention to them, including us. Only a few of us know about their relationship because we’re Eunwoo’s best friends.” She then grinned and winked at me. “I think, in the near future, Eunwoo wants to consider you more than just a friend.” Both you and Rocky stare at her and, in sync, say, “Wait, WHAT?”

“We barely know each other!” you explain, feeling flushed, “Eunwoo and I need to get to know each other first! We aren’t even that close yet!” Sohyun giggled, making Rocky laugh.

When the bell rang, speak of the devil, Eunwoo walked in looking grumpy. But when he spotted the three of you chatting, he put on a sad smile and sat quietly at his desk.

For the next few weeks, you sat alone in the back. Moonbin never came back to class after Day 2 of school. Rumors started to go around, claiming that Moonbin became a gangster, or that he moved to China unexpectedly, or even that he got abducted by aliens. The strangest one said that he was expelled for seducing the principal's daughter. You and Eunwoo were hanging out more often, even hanging out during the study hall after school. He seemed happier but you all knew that he was hiding something.
All this is probably a huge misunderstanding. All problems in TV shows and dramas are misunderstandings, so maybe this one is, too. But it couldn’t be that serious to cause a fight, could it? What if Moonbin actually did do something wrong? What if Eunwoo was right about the fact that Moonbin was dangerous? What if Eunwoo was wrong? What if-

“Noona!” yelled Sanha. You snapped out of your thoughts. You turn around and see him running to you. You were waiting by the school gates to walk back home with him. “The music club ended late again. Sorry, for being late." You kiss him on the cheek, making him blush.

"Try not to be late next time!"

While on the way home, he asks, "How was the nature club?”

“Sanha. All we do is take care of the school plants. That’s about it,” you explain, walking home, “Nothing much happens. The most interesting thing that's happened so far was Ms. Eunji's pet dog peeing in the tulips.”

Sanha giggled. “Then you should have joined the music club, Suzy! Eunwoo is in it, too! And-” He stopped walking, making you suddenly stop, too. He pointed to the convenience store nearby that was a couple blocks away to your house and said, “That guy looks shady, noona.”

You see a boy wearing a black sweater at one of the open tables outside the store. His head was low because he was slurping his instant noodles, one hand holding the paper bowl and the other holding chopsticks.

Moonbin? What’s he doing here? Then, Moonbin looked up to see your face, making direct eye contact with you.

"I haven't seen you in a while," Moonbin said, after swallowing another large bite, smiling, "Suzy."
