Ch. 2
Apparently, there was a meeting on Saturday and Sunday from 3-5 for theTết, but Ailee didn’t know that since she got a call. Her mom’s phone rang so her mom picked it up.
“Hello?” she answered.
“Is this Ailee Nguyen?” the person said.
“Ailee!” her mom called.
“Yes?” she answered as she walked up to her mom.
“Someone wants to talk to you,” she said as she hand her the phone.
“Hello?” Ailee answered.
“Is this Ailee Nguyen?”
“Yes?”
“This is John Vo, the director for the Tết festival. I would like to inform you that on Saturday and Sunday there will be a meeting for the Tết festival from 3-5 at xxxxxxxxxx. I would like to know which day you can go so I can hold a spot for you.”
Minhee paused for a moment to think about her schedule. On Sunday, she has a piano workshop and on Saturday she has tutoring but it was in the morning. “I’ll go on Saturday, then,” Ailee concluded.
“okay! I’ll be looking forward to meet you at xxxxxxxxxx. We are meeting up at 1p.m in front of the place and you will sign in and be lead to a room.”
“okay,” Ailee said.
“Well, it is nice talking to you! Hope you have a great day! Bye!” John said as he hung up.
Ailee set down the phone and went over to the computer. She logged in onto facebook and saw she has one friend request. She pressed on the icon and saw Jungkook has accepted her friend request. She smiled softly as she went on his wall. She clicked on the messaged app.
Ailee Nguyen:

Jungkook Jeon:
Hey
Ailee Nguyen:
Are you volunteering for the Tết festival?
Jungkook Jeon:
Yea
Ailee Nguyen:
What day are you going for the meeting then?
Jungkook Jeon:
Since Hannah and Anne are going on Sunday, I’m gonna go with them.
Ailee blew out raspberries when she saw his replied.
Ailee Nguyen:
Okay.
Ailee messaged some of her friends the same question and their replies are all the same. Ailee let out a sigh as she logged off. “Guess I’m going to be a loner tomorrow,” she thought.
