Hard Work

Indescribable

Yoongi laid, motionless, on his bed. He had woken up almost an hour prior, but couldn't seem to find the will power to move. His mind was far to preoccupied with what had transpired the night before with Kokyung.

He had sat beside her on the floor, hanging on her every word and joke. His heart rate picked up slightly as she casually leaned closer to him. Her light brown eyes meeting his for a moment before looking back at the mirror in front of them. He could still hear her laugh if he thought too much about the dinner they shared at midnight. He thought of her hand brushing his as they attempted to both pick up the check, her fingers were so thin and long.

"Hyung! We're leaving for the Academy soon, get dressed." Taehyung's voice called from the other side of the door.

Kokyung felt her cheeks just to make sure they weren't still warm. Every time she thought about Yoongi they managed to heat up. She wasn't all to sure what this meant, she knew almost nothing about the idol. She just figured it was butterflies from her previous times admiring his face, she knew that she thought he was attractive. Attractive, yes but unattainable in a strange way. She was locking the door to her apartment, as she exited the small door she turned to see her appa before her.

"A-appa? I thought you were in Taiwan until next week."

"We finished the conference early." He said, his eyebrows knit together as he looked over her. "I was thinking we could go out to eat."

"Maybe dinner? I'm teaching a class at the moment, I'll be late if I don't leave soon."

"You're so much like your eomma, she'd be proud."

Her father wrapped an arm around her shoulder and gave her a squeeze.

"Call me sometime tomorrow and we'll go out." With those words he turned to leave her apartment complex.

BTS stood outside the practice room, it was locked.

"Where do you think Jae-ssem is?" Taehyung asked to no on in particular.

The sound of heavy footsteps running down the tiled halls of the building made them look up to see who it was. Panting and holding her side, Kokyung stood before them.

"I'm so sorry that I'm late!" She bowed deeply.

"It's okay, we just got here." Yoongi said, touching her shoulder lightly.

He felt jittery just being beside her, she smiled at him. He noticed her cheeks were flushed lightly, most likely from running.

"Shall we get started? I think while we're working I'll be able to think up the finishing moves for the dance." Her soft voice filling the rapper's ears.

Yoongi watched as she pulled her jacket from her shoulders revealing her pale skin. She turned and smiled at the group before plugging her phone into the system. The bass line of No More Dream flowed out as it usually did during practice.

He took the position he had worked late on and started to dance in time with their instructor. He saw her smile in the mirror as he turned, his face started to heat up.

"Stop!"

They all froze in their positions, carefully Kokyung circled around them and then into the mirror.

"I would like for you to look at yourselves and realize how well you're doing. You all look identical."

She began to clap, a large smile had worked its way onto her face.

The worried expressions vanished from everyone's faces as they listened to her praise.

Their practice was drawing to an end.

"Are you busy after this?" Jin asked looking at their instructor.

"I don't think so, why do you ask?" A smile on her lips.

"Yoongi and I are cooking dinner tonight, would you like to eat with us. Think of it as thanks for being so patient with Namjoon and I."

Yoongi watched carefully to see her expression brighten up, she nodded with a bow.

"I would be honored to eat with you."

"Great!" Jin exclaimed looking over to Yoongi who was standing off to the side with Taehyung.

He could tell his face was almost giving away how excited he was, his entire face was hot. He felt the jitters that he had when they had touched in the hall.

Kokyung smiled at Jin who was talking animatedly about dinner and food. He seemed really excited, V leaned over and jokingly commented,

"Jin-hyung is like our eomma, he takes care of us. Yoongi-huyng is like our appa, if fixes all of the stuff Rap Mon breaks."

She let a giggle leave her lips, she glanced up and met Yoongi's eyes he quickly looked away turning to talk J-Hope.

"I don't think I've ever seen him like this." Jin commented looking at the younger girl beside him.

"Eh?"

"Yoongi-ssi, he usually is either calm and collected or cracking jokes. He seems so nervous."

Kokyung decided to shrug it off with a chuckle, she couldn't help but wonder why. Maybe he didn't want her going to their dorm.

"Ah, Jin-ssi. What time would you like me to come over, I'd like to go home and bathe and change before intruding into your home."

"4:30, does that sound doable?"

"Yes, I don't know where your dorm is." She coughed awkwardly.

"Oh! I forgot that," He laughed, "Would it be okay if we sent someone to pick you up?"

"Oh, yes. Here, just let me write down my address."

"Here's my number, just text it to me. I'll make sure someone comes and gets you." He took her phone from her hands and put his number into her contacts.

"A-ah, okay. Thank you." She bowed to him and smiled lightly.

"Ah! Someone needs to go pick up Kokyung-ssi!" Jin's voice shouted across the dorm.

"I'll do it!" Yoongi shot off the couch to grab his keys to one of the cars the record label let them use.

"I think that's the fastest I've ever seen you move." Jungkook joked looking at the shorter man before him.

"Is that anyway to speak to your hyung?" J-Hope teased from beside the maknae.

"Yoongi-ssi, I sent you her address." Jin called from the kitchen.

"I just got it, I'll be back soon."

He left the apartment quickly to prevent anyone from seeing how red his face was getting. He didn't want anyone else getting her. He realized how stupid his reasoning was, the others were kind. It's not like they would do anything, no he was just doing it out of selfishness. He couldn't believe his thought process, he didn't want anyone that close to her. It was completely unreasonable, it's not like he and Kokyung were in a relationship. They hardly knew each other.

What he felt around her was something he'd never experienced, at first he just assumed it was mere infatuation with her. She was a pretty girl who he had seen before. It was after they had sat on the floor of the practice room for almost three hours he realized that he wanted to know much more about her than he did. He wasn't so sure that was just infatuation.

Kokyung ran a brush through her still damp hair, she didn't mind that it was still wet. She towel dried her bangs and decided the rest didn't matter, she had received a text from Jin telling her that someone was on their way to get her. He would text her when the person got there. She was stood in front of the closet wrapped in only a towel. She would need to rush to find clothes before the person got to her apartment.

She rifled through the hangers in her closet and finally found a top that almost matched the peachy tones in her hair, she decided to toss a cardigan over it and put on a pair of high-waisted jeans. She quickly got dressed and looked in the mirror near her closet, quickly decided to put on some makeup so she didn't look quiet as dead. Just as she was about to put some on she heard her phone go off;
He's there.
The text read, a small groan left the ballerina's lips. She didn't have time to put makeup on.
A knock on her door made her walk over, as she pulled the door open she revealed Yoongi.

Yoongi knocked on the door to what was suppose to be Kokyung's apartment. After a few seconds the door was pulled open, she stood before him.

Her long pastel hair was still damp, she looked stunning. Her skin was perfect, her eyes almost glittering in the setting sun. As the fall kicked into high gear; the weather was getting colder and the sun was setting earlier.

"A-ah! Please come in." She let him into her apartment, his face got hotter than it already was. "Sorry, I was just finishing getting ready. I was just going to put on some makeup before you got here. Is there any way we could wait a few minutes before leaving?"

He blinked, she felt like she needed makeup? She looked perfect, her skin was bright and practically flawless.

"If you'd like." Was all he could manage to say.

His throat was tight as he tried to speak, he just couldn't figure out why she affected him like this.

"Thank you." She said with a sweet looking smile.

Kokyung quickly put on some lip tint and a bit of eyeliner before deciding that she didn't want to keep the rapper waiting for too long.

"Thank you for letting me do that, I'm ready to go if you are."

He stood from where he was sitting on her couch and smiled at her, he had such a sweet looking smile.

"Sure, shall we go?" He questioned leading her out of her apartment.

"You can drive?" She chuckled.

"Yes, most of us older members can."

He dangled the keys from his long pale index finger, Kokyung realized she was watching his hands move as they got into the car.
He stuck the keys into the ignition and started the car, she looked away from his hands quickly so as not to seem like she was staring at them.

Yoongi felt the chest tighten again as he watched her out of the corner of his eye, she was sitting beside him. Her arm casually resting on the center console, her body turned slightly away from him. She was watching out the window to the passing of the city around them.

"So, do you like living with the other members?" Her voice startled him.

"It's usually pretty fun, except when Namjoon-ssi breaks things. We call him the God of Destruction."

She giggled quietly and turned to look at him.

"Taehyung-ssi mentioned something about you fixing everything Rap Mon breaks."

"Yeah, Jin is the better cook so he does that. I handle the 'manly' duties. We equally care for our dongsaengs. He is the caring one, I'm more of the- ehh - tough love."

"So Jin-oppa is the eomma, you're the appa?" A smile was on her full lips.

"Pretty much." He laughed lightly.

He had such a nice laugh, she was enjoying the sound. The car pulled up to a parking garage, he pulled into one of the spaces that was available near some cars that looked similar to the one they were in.

"Here we are." He got out of the car, before she could react he had opened her door.

"Ah! Gamsa." She said bowing her head to the rapper.

She got out of the car and followed him into a house right near the parking garage. As soon as the door was open you could hear the voices of the three youngest members yelling from the living room. She smiled at the sound, she'd never had dongsaengs so this was a welcomed scene.

"Hyung!" Jimin all but yelled, as he threw himself on Yoongi.

"Aish! What are you doing?" The older of the two stuttered and he stumbled under the younger's weight.

"We missed you!" Jungkook joined in on the teasing as he threw himself on the other two.

Kokyung let a giggle leave her lips as she watched the destruction play out before her very eyes.

Yoongi couldn't believe what was happening as he was tackled by the three youngest members, they were doing this to embarrass him. He was sure of it.

"Kokyung-ssi? Would you like to come into the safe area that is the kitchen?" Jin's voice called from across the house.

Out of the cracks that were created through the bodies of Taehyung, Jimin, and Jungkook; Yoongi could just see her leaving to the kitchen. He let out a defeated sigh, as soon as he did this the three who had created a dog pile on him stood up helped him off the floor.

"Kokyung-ssi is really pretty, don't you think Kookie?" Jimin commented.

Yoongi straitened up a little bit as he heard the others talk about her, he knew this was the reaction they wanted to see. He groaned and walked away from him, moving off to the office where Namjoon was sitting in front of the desktop.

"Hey, can we talk?" The older of the two asked as he sat on the stool beside him.

"Yeah, what's up hyung?"

"I was hoping you could tell me." He took a breath and began to explain what was happening in his head.

Kokyung tried to casually look for Yoongi, he had vanished. The three boys who had tackled him were sitting on the couch watching some variety show.

"Could you pass me the gochujang?" Jin's voice shook her from her daze.

"Oh, yes. Of course. Here you go." She passed him the small container of chili paste.

"Are you okay? You seem a little out of it?"

"Hm?" She mentally cursed herself for not being able to carry a normal conversation.

"Are you okay?" He repeated cautiously.

"Oh, yes. I'm okay. Sorry for seeming so out of it. I promise I'm okay."

"I wasn't kidding when I mentioned that I've never seen Yoongi-ssi like that." His tone was serious as he looked over at her.

"E-eh? Maybe he's feeling unwell, or maybe he just doesn't like me." She chuckled, trying to alleviate some of her awkwardness.

"Well, he almost knocked everyone down when I said someone needed to go get you. Maybe he likes you."

She wanted to laugh out loud, they hardly knew each other. She also wanted it to be true, she couldn't explain what she was feeling towards the rapper but she hadn't felt like that ever in her life.

"It's like, I look at her and my breath gets caught in my throat. I don't even know her, are these feelings even logical?"

Yoongi hung his head as he finally finished speaking, Namjoon looked over at him with a slight smile.

"You like her, there's nothing complicated about that. Have you ever liked a girl."

"Well, yeah." He scoffed as if it were obvious.

"I mean; have you ever liked a girl this much?"

He faltered, he wasn't sure that he had. He wasn't sure if he even liked the ballerina.

"Exactly, you're really into her. Why don't you tell her or something. The reason the maknae's are teasing you is because they can tell. You go red whenever she comes close to you."

Yoongi let another scoff leave his lips before realizing that what his friend had said was true.

"I can't like her, I hardly know her."

"You want to know more about her, don't you? That's all you really need to like someone." Namjoon commented as he over to the older man.

Kokyung watched as Jin continued to cook, he was making a ton of food.

"You like to cook Jin-oppa?"

"I do, Yoongi and I are really the only ones that can cook. We don't let Namjoon-ssi into the kitchen."

"That's what Yoongi-oppa said. You call him 'the God of Destruction'."

"Yeah, pretty much. I hope the ride over was good, Yoongi-ssi is a pretty good driver."

"It was nice." She commented, hoping he wouldn't see the pink dusting her cheeks.

"Good." Was all he said, she was sure that he looked in her direction and noticed her face.

The table was filled with many awful jokes, some of which were at Yoongi's expense. Jungkook was telling a story about how the rapper had once stayed completely still for almost three days. Kokyung giggled again, she smiled over at the rapper who's face was slowly turning red.

"Sugaaa-hyung!" Jimin whined leaning over to rest his head on the elder's shoulder.

Yoongi's face showed disdain, after a second it became emotionless. He rested a hand on the younger boys head and rolled his eyes.

"Thank you so much for having me for dinner, it was wonderful Jin-oppa."

The group of boys watched as she bowed at almost a 90 degree.

"This is just a small thanks for being such a wonderful teacher, let's make our last few days count." Namjoon said for the whole group.

It was that moment that Yoongi realized the only way he would see Kokyung after their performance was in the cafe. Even then they weren't really allowed to interact with each other, she had to wait on other costumers. She couldn't sit and talk to him her entire shift, that would get her fired. A bittersweet feeling washed over him as he realized this.

"Ready to go?" He questioned looking over at the ballerina standing just off to the side of him.

"Uh-huh. Thank you again. Tomorrow at 10:00." She said before she turned to follow him out of the house.

"Thank you for driving me." Her soft voice filled his ears, he glanced at her out of the corner of his eye and nodded with a slight smile.

"Of course, so this all ends on Friday?" He attempted to strike a conversation.

"It's hard to believe it's Wednesday, it feels like yesterday BTS walked into my practice room for the first time. I'm glad I was given the opportunity to work with you."

"I'm really glad too." He all but whispered.

"I was thinking about when the performance ends, I'll be there. We should all go out for dinner."

The suggestion made him sit up a little, he smiled slightly.

"I like that idea."

Kokyung smiled as Yoongi walked her up to her apartment, he smiled at her slightly before turning to leave.

Without thinking she caught his hand before he was out of reach, he turned to look back at her.

"Thank you, I really mean it." She said quickly.

"Like I said before, of course."

He tipped his head and looked down to their connected hands.

"A-ah! Sorry." She pulled her hand away, trying to ignore the fact that it felt right to hold his hand.

"H-have a good night." He stuttered, she had never heard him stutter before.

"You too Yoongi-oppa." She turned to open her door, as soon as she was in she waved goodbye to the rapper outside.

He waved back and turned to go back to the lift and leave the building.

The way he made her feel with his presence was... indescribable.
