[SATURDAY] I spent all morning going to different stores in the city to find the right dress and mask for tonight. I finally got the right one.

[7PM] By the evening, i arrived at Lily’s salon so that she could do my hair. Once Lily was done doing my hair, i went into the restroom to change into my dress. After struggling to get it on, i finished and came out to see everyone looking at me.

I walked towards Lily where she was sitting at. She looked up from her phone to see me in the mirror and stood up from her seat immediately walking towards me.

Lily : Wow.
Jooeun (*asks in worry) : is it bad ?
Lily : No. you look great Jooeun.
Jooeun : it took me all day to find this dress.
Lily : it's beautiful on you.
Jooeun : i think we should go now.
Lily : right. Let's go.

Lily and I took a taxi to the masquerade ball. After a while, we made it at the front of the entrance venue. We got out of the taxi and paid the driver. I held onto my clutch purse and invitation while Lily held onto my mask. I was feeling more nervous and Lily began to calm me down.

Lily : it's going to be okay Jooeun. Be calm and don't be nervous.
Jooeun : it makes me more nervous hearing you say that.
Lily : well dont.
Jooeun (*asks) : what if they don't like me?
Lily : don't worry. Everyone is going to be wearing a mask.
Jooeun : alright, I'm trusting your word on it.
Lily : You'll be fine.
Jooeun : okay.
Lily : let me help you with your mask.
Jooeun : thanks.

Lily helped me put on my black mask.

My entire outfit was complete and i was ready to go. Then Lily says before leaving.

Lily : it's time to fly.
Lily : if anything happens, call me.
Jooeun : alright. Thanks Lily.
Lily : now go.

I held onto my long black dress, clutch purse, and invitation card to walk up the stairs to the front entrance. Lily felt proud of Jooeun as she stood there watching her leave from behind. After I had made it fully inside, Lily took a taxi back to the salon to close up.

As I was walking inside of the venue once giving the floorman the invitation card, I saw such beautiful decorations everywhere. Mardi Gras really filled the room. From lights to lanterns and to even fancy shiny silverware, it looked amazing and bright. Everyone was scattered everywhere dancing and sitting at their tables. A waiter offered me a drink on the platter but I denied because I wasn't a drinker. I stood at the standing tables to hang out and talked to some random people. Chanyeol, Sehun, and Kai stood on the other side to talk and check out the girls. As they were talking, Kai notices a pretty girl (Jooeun) from across the room. So he says to Chanyeol who knew from the looks that it was Jooeun already.

Kai : I'm going to go ask that girl to dance with me.
Chanyeol : yo, be careful of how you approach her.
Kai : don't worry man, I got this.
Sehun : the last time you said that, you kissed a girl and brought her home.
Kai : I got it this time.

Kai walks over to Jooeun. I saw Kai walking towards me so i stood there pretending to look elsewhere.

Kai (*asks) : would you like to dance?
Jooeun (*faces Kai & says) : sure.

We both smiled at each other and started to make our way to dance. About a minute into the slow dance, I say to Kai..

Jooeun : your a great dancer.
Kai : you're not so bad yourself.
Jooeun (*smiles & says) : thank you very much.
Kai (*asks) : so what's your name?
Jooeun : oh that I can't tell you.
Kai (*asks) : and why can't you?
Jooeun : it's a secret.

Once the song was over, I bowed politely to Kai and walked away outside to the balcony. Kai walked back to Chanyeol and Sehun who was worried about what just happened.

Chanyeol (*asks) : what the hell just happened?
Kai : she just stormed off.
Sehun : you totally ruined it with her.
Chanyeol : I'll be right back.
Kai (*asks as seeing Chanyeol leave) : where are you going man?
