Forever Fate
A Place To Move To.
Seoul, Korea has always been a place I longed for to live at. I left home a while back to pursue my dreams in becoming a teacher. I loved it since. I have everything i needed at this point, but there’s just one thing I can’t seem to figure out. What is that ? maybe we’ll have to stick around and see it all happen.
It was a beautiful THURSDAY morning in Seoul. I did my daily routine and got to work like always. During lunch time, while everyone else was eating in the cafeteria, I was meeting with my Uncle Kee at the cafe shop near school. We talked as we waiting for our food to come out.
Uncle Kee (*asks) : how are you lately Jooeun ?
Jooeun : i've been okay.
Uncle Kee (*asks) : just okay ?
Jooeun : I'm just having a little trouble looking for a room or an apartment around here.
Jooeun : every place is not what i expected. I don't know if i should stay at my old place or not.
Uncle Kee : as you know, i work for an entertainment company as the idols manager.
Uncle Kee : one of the artists are looking for a roommate.
Uncle Kee : It's a small room with furniture in the apartment.
Uncle Kee : all they need is someone to move in and live with them.
Jooeun : the small room isn't the problem.
Uncle Kee (*asks) : then what is ?
Jooeun : it's the price that i can afford.
Jooeun : i've been saving my entire life for a good place to live and i'm not even sure if it's enough.
Uncle Kee : even if you have a budget, just talk to the owner about it.
Uncle Kee : he’ll give you a deal.
Jooeun : alright. I’ll have a talk to the person.
Uncle Kee : i’ll text you their number.
Jooeun : thank you Uncle.
Uncle Kee : no problem. We both have each other here so i'm glad to help.
Uncle Kee : I did promise your dad that i would take care of you if i had the time.
Jooeun : and i appreciate it a lot.
After having lunch with Uncle Kee, I went back to work at the middle school. The rest of the day was tiring and i wished to go home afterwards but I had to go to the organization meeting. Once my day was over at school, I went home. I cooked something to eat and head to shower. Afterwards, I walked to my bed to look at the designs for the club events for school. During this time, I got a text message from Uncle Kee about the number of the person who’s looking for a roommate. I quickly called them on my cellphone and a voice of a man picked up.
Chanyeol (*picks up the phone) : hello? Whos this ?
Jooeun : my name is Ahn Jooeun. My uncle is Ahn Kee, your manager.
Chanyeol (*asks) : what did you need ?
Jooeun : my uncle said something about a room in your apartment for rent.
Chanyeol : right. Its for rent.
Jooeun : that's great.
Jooeun : i was wondering how much it costs to rent.
Chanyeol : it's $350 a month and there is a deposit of $100.
Jooeun (*smiles & says) : that's wonderful !
Jooeun (*asks) : is it possible for me to look at the room in person ?
Chanyeol : of course. Im free tomorrow around lunch time if that's okay with you.
Jooeun : 12pm is fine with me.
Chanyeol : 12pm is perfect for me too.
Chanyeol : I’ll text you the address tomorrow morning so you can come here.
Jooeun : that sounds great. Thank you so much.
Chanyeol : you're welcome. good bye.
