Finding My Way

His Cheonsa

Jaemi’s POV

6:00am

I look outside my window to find Taehyung sitting by the pond. He’s always there for some reason.

Once I’m ready for school, I head out to meet him.

“Hey.” I start off and he turns his head. I sit down next to him.

“Good morning, Jaemi.” He smiles and looks back at the pond.

“What were you doing before I got here?” I question. I set my school bag to my side and lay down on the grass.

“Thinking.” Taehyung responds as he follows me and lays down. Our heads face each other and our eyes meet in harmony.

“Thinking about…?” I raise my eyebrow as he observes the features on my face.

“You.” He grins. The sun rays shine on me, leaving him in the shade. “You’re like an angel.”

I blink and sit up, hesitantly. Taehyung laughs and gets up.

“I don’t know, I’ve never met a girl like you.” He shrugs and taps the tips of his fingers together. “Most of the girls I grew up with around here, I barely know. However, they know who I am.”

“What makes me any different than them?” I crack my neck and arch my back to crack my spine. “I’m just an ordinary girl. The only difference is that I’m an orphan, and they all have parents, or relatives.”

“I guess that applies for Seokjin, Hoseok and I. We’re just ordinary students, but we’re orphans. At yet, we get treated differently. That’s what I’m saying. We’re different. You’re different.” Taehyungs explains.

“And your point is…?” I say, crossing my legs and letting my back slouch. I let my hands hold my head as my elbows rest on my knees. My fingers run through my hair, smoothing it out.

“You’re just… different. I like that…” Taehyung says in a low voice. “My dancing angel. Chum cheonsa. (romanization for ‘dancing angel’ in korean).”

I turn my head and move my hair out of the way to see his face. His cheeks flush red and I shake my head. Chum cheonsa? Cheonsa? Is that what he’s naming me?

I sit upright and shift my entire body to face him.

“You really mean that?” I say, softly.

Taehyung nods his head, cautious of my actions. I sigh and stand up, putting my school bag around one shoulder.

“Alright, if that’s what you believe, then so be it.” I purse my lips and gently pat his silky hair as I begin to walk to the dining hall. “I can’t stop you from that.”

I don’t look back, but I can tell he’s blushing.

“Wait! Let’s go together!” Taehyung proposes, stopping me in my tracks. I wait for him to catch up with me, but don’t turn back to watch him approach me. When he runs up to me, he has a huge smile smacked on his face. “Thanks for waiting, Cheonsa.”

I nod and continue to walk. He’s never going to stop calling me that now.

------

7:30am

When we arrive at school, there is a larger crowd than usual. As the guys and I get greeted by fellow students, my eyes revert to a familiar looking boy. I squeeze my way through the crowd, however, they manage to catch up to me.

“Namjoon!” I call and the crowd moves so I can make my way over to him. The students mainly want to greet the other three, so I manage to escape them.

Namjoon stops and glances at me for a moment. He shakes his head and continues to walk to the school's entrance.

“Wait, Nam-” I call once more, however, Taehyung distracts me.

“Cheonsa!” He yells. Everyone grows quiet. I grimace at the name he calls me.

I clench my teeth and turn around to face Taehyung.

“What.” I sigh. I stare at him blankly.

“Why are you in such a hurry.” He smiles and skips over to me. He puts an arm around my shoulder, however, I flick it off in an instant. Hoseok and Seokjin chuckle as they make their way over to us.

“We’re going to be late.” I say, making up an excuse. “We’ve already done that once.”

Hoseok puts an arm around me, Jin puts an arm around Taehyung and Taehyung puts his arms around all of us. I fold my arms together, not wanting to waste time complaining.

“Then we’ll be late together.” Taehyung proposes and I mentally facepalm. He always sees the best of everything. Literally.

We stay in this formation until we reach the classroom doors. The only reason why we disform is because we can’t physically fit through the door unless we walk in horizontally. At least we aren’t late. Be optimistic.

Oh, right. I have to pick up a file from the office.

“Guys, I’ll be right back.” I mutter and run down the halls to the main office.

As I walk into the office, I overhear the principal talking with a familiar voice.

“Min Yoongi, you have to.” The principal say with a tired voice.

“I don’t want to. You can’t make me. I have the right to refuse your offer.” Suga stands up and walks out of the principal's office.

I hide behind a few desks until he leaves the main office. The last thing I want is to speak to him. So… his real name is Min Yoongi.

Ring Ring

The lunch bell rings. I’m the first one out of the classroom. Where’s classroom 3F?

3D… 3E…. 3F!

I stop beside of the door, waiting for the students to walk out of the classroom. I spot Namjoon walking out alone and I scurry to get to him. I heave a sigh of relief as I nonchalantly brush my shoulder with his. Namjoon takes a small glance at me, then turns his head to gaze forward again.

“Again?” Namjoon sighs.

“I just want to talk to you, can’t I?” I say, disappointed.

“You know, it’s pretty stupid of you to want to talk to be in such a public area. People will talk.” He says so only I can hear. His eyes wander everywhere but on me. “If I get caught talking to you, it’ll be me against all of the students here.”

“Where can we talk then?” I roll my eyes and raise my voice. “You won’t let me even-”

The students around us glare at me. I duck my head low and wait for them to ignore me.

“What did I say? Hm?” He whispers. “Besides, I never agreed to have a word with you. Just leave me alone.”

Namjoon walks at a faster pace and catches up with his friends. I’m left alone. Why.

In the cafeteria, I hold my lunch tray. I look at one table, filled with Namjoon and his friends. Across the room, Hoseok, Seokjin and Taehyung wait for me to arrive.

I have to make a move.

I walk over to Namjoon and his friends immediately move away from the table. Namjoon looks at me and shakes his head. I sit across from him, my back to Seokjin, Hoseok and Taehyung.

“Namjoon.” I say, determined.

“You really won’t stop trying, will you?” He puts his chopsticks and spoon down. “Fine. Tell me. What do you want.”

Finally.

“I want… to understand.” I lay my hands in my lap. He raises an eyebrow and I continue. “What do you have against me? Against my friends.”

I turn my head to look back at the three boys, looking around the cafeteria for me. I quickly turn back to face Namjoon.

He stays quiet. Instead of answering me, he stares at my plate of food.

“Namjoon.” I repeat, grabbing his attention. He meets my gaze.

“Nothing.”

“What?” I say, confused. “Then what was with your attitude yesterday? What was all that fuss about?”

“You think it’s about you? You think I have something against you?” He raises his voice. “Didn’t your friend J-Hope tell you anything?”

The cafeteria grows quiet as they stare at our table. I sigh and look at my hands. So… Namjoon and Hoseok have a past together.

“No, he didn’t.” I whisper. “He didn’t say anything. That’s why I’m asking you.”

“Did you think I’m going to give you answers right off the bat? What is it to you anyways?” Namjoon stands up and begins to walk out of the cafeteria.

“Namjoon-” I stand up to follow him, however, I stop in my tracks.

“Jaemi.” Taehyung takes my hand. I blink and turn my head to meet his eyes. He shakes his head. Seokjin puts a hand on my shoulder, standing at my other side.

“Don’t mess around with lower ranks.” Hoseok says loudly. Namjoon stops walking, almost out of the door, and turns around.

“How do you think I ended up like this?” Namjoon shouts, walking towards us aggressively. “‘Lower ranked.’”

“How should I know?” Hoseok plays dumb. “Whatever you did was your choice not mine.”

“Oh, screw you, Hoseok.” Namjoon scoffs. “You and your little ‘perfect life’ scenario. When people shine brightly around here, there always has to be someone who suffers the consequences. And that’s me.”

Namjoon and Hoseok are face to face. The students are in shock… no one calls J-Hope by his first name around here. Not unless it’s Seokjin, Taehyung or I.

“It was your choice to take the blame for those consequences.”

What consequences? When?

“Because I thought I was your friend.” Namjoon counters. “Isn’t that what friends do?”

“We were never friends.” Hoseok glares deadly at Namjoon. “Besides… why would I be friends with someone like you?”

“Whoa, whoa, whoa.” Suga smirks as he walks into the scene. “Calm down, you two. Everyone’s trying to enjoy their lunch.”

“Oh what do you know.” Hoseok scowls.

“Suga, don’t get involved.” Taehyung orders. He walks up to Suga, but hesitates as he recalls past with him. Suga smirks wider.

“Get away from me.” Suga pushes Taehyung back and Seokjin catches him. “Besides, things are just getting good here.”

“What are you going to start now?” Seokjin complains.

“So, it seems like J-Hope’s got some history with my pal, Rap Monster.” Suga puts an arm around Namjoon. “I really missed out those past years in high school.”

“You know him?” Hoseok asks Namjoon.

“You think I don’t?” Namjoon says, coldly. He flicks Suga’s arm off of him.

“Oh, why did I think I could have a peaceful talk here.” I shake my head with disapproval.

“I told you I didn’t want to speak with you here.” Namjoon tells me directly. He looks past Hoseok and stares deeply into my eyes. “Because this would happen.”

I look down with guilt and Suga laughs.

“So, she started this all?” He questions and walks over to me. Seokjin is with Taehyung. Hoseok and Namjoon stand alone, worsening the atmosphere. I have no one to protect me from Suga. “I should’ve known my ‘replacement’ had some fire in her.”

Suga caresses my cheek with the back of his hand. I throw his hand away.

“Don’t you touch her, Suga.” Taehyung threatens and Suga laughs.

“And what if I do?” Suga raises his eyebrow. “Why, did you grow feelings for her?”

Taehyung is taken back by what Suga counters.

“Suga-” I say, but he cuts me off.

“It’s weird how you happened to make acquaintance with all of these people here, Jaemi.” Suga addresses the other four boys and himself.

“Get away from me.” I gently push Suga, however he holds my hands by the wrist that lay on his chest.

“Suga!” Taehyung yells at him. “Stop taunting her.”

He walks towards us and attempts to free me from Suga’s grasp. However, Suga turns around, holding my hands behind his back, standing in front of me.

“Oh, Taehyung, I think I found your weakness.” Suga bites his lip.

“That’s enough.” I say, annoyed.

“Jaemi-”

Min Yoongi! That’s enough!” I shout.

I assumed he’d stop his nonsense. Why did he even get involved. What was going to do?

Unfortunately, I underestimated his actions. Suga lets go of my hands, turns around to face me and grabs me by the collar of my shirt. He lifts me up to my toes and pushes me against the nearest wall. My back aches as I try to release from his grasp, however I fail to even move him.

“Don’t you EVER call me by MY REAL NAME!” Suga shouts. “IT’S SUGA. S-U-G-A.”

“SUGA!” Seokjin, Hoseok and Taehyung basically scream and run to save me.

I’m left speechless. I watch as the three boys come to my aid. Namjoon escapes and runs out of the cafeteria. Suga keeps me in place, giving me pain in my back. What’s going on. Why did this fight even start?

Seokjin comes first and breaks Suga’s contact with me. Taehyung throws Suga onto one of the cafeteria tables where students were eating lunch. All of these actions frighten the students and makes most of them thrilled. Probably because we’re the ones entertaining them.

Hoseok examines me and checks for any injuries.

“Are you hurt?” He whispers in my ear.

“I’m okay… are you? It’s my fault we’re all in this mess.” I say, deep with concern.

“It’s not entirely your fault.” Seokjin reassures. “We all did something wrong.”

Seokjin gives a disappointed look at Hoseok, than Suga, and lastly, Taehyung, who leaves Suga lying on the floor in the middle of the cafeteria.

“Let’s go home.” Taehyung says as he walks towards us.

I open my mouth to object, however, he takes me by the hand and drags me out of the cafeteria. After briefly exchanging looks with each other, Seokjin and Hoseok follow us out of the lunch room. Once we’re all out of the cafeteria, the students continue eating their lunch; finally having something juicy to discuss.

1:30pm

I change into comfortable clothes. I grab all of my dancing shoes in my room and walk to the studio. I align the shoes along the wall behind the grand piano.

I walk, barefooted, to the center of the studio. I stare at myself in the mirror. Today was crazy. Too crazy. What did I do wrong? I just wanted to talk…

I lazily sit down. For some reason, the feeling of being in this studio, alone, soothes me.

The door opens and I immediately stand up. Who-

I turn around to be greeted with an embrace. He hugs me, almost squeezing me. My hands, laying at my side, slowing make its way up his back.

“I’m sorry.” He whispers. “My Cheonsa.

Notes

Happy Friday!

I'm off to South Korea for my aunt's wedding! And finals are in two weeks for me. *HEAVY SIGH* I'm going to die. I'll be breathing the same air as my oppas. Not weird or anything.

This chapter is a little... weird. Does it make sense? I don't know. In the end, they all fought for no reason.

Where did Namjoon go? What history does Hoseok and Namjoon have? What history does Taehyung and Suga have? How come Seokjin isn't involved in anything? And... why is Suga bothered by being called his first name?

JUST a couple of things you should think about^^^

I don't plan on updating this coming Tuesday because I will be jet-lagged. SO, I will see you next Friday. OR THE FRIDAY EXO COMES BACK. Did you guys see their teaser yet? It's literally 0:23 seconds long. My birthdate number lol. NOOO. YESSS. I'll stop typing and just leave you like this now.

VOTE///COMMENT///SUBSCRIBE to read more of this story. I love your feedback. I alsooo want to hear from you if I'm going crazy. I think I'm going crazy.
