Chapter 3: We are one?
Suho POV
I couldn’t stand it.
I couldn't stand Kris looking like this.
He’s suppose to be the cool, confident Kris from EXO. Not the unsure, trembling Wu Yi Fan that is mumbling in front of me. His cool personality, is really just an act. We all knew that, but we all relied on him, for his act.
Considering the fact that he is EXO-M’s leader, whenever any members get hurt, he would always blame himself and mumble about how he should’ve been the one to get hurt.
Seeing Xiumin at this stage, must’ve broken him.
“Monsters, demons, monsters...” Kris kept repeating and repeating.
I stood there, my body acting on its own. I wrapped my arms around his body, my head resting on his shoulders. I wept for Xiumin, for Kris, for me and the rest of the members.
“WE-no, I will never forgive them. Forgive HER…… for doing this! NEVER!!” He said his voice growing louder and louder with every word. His tears streaming down his jaw, falling down onto his blood stained hands.
After the ambulance arrived along with our managers, Xiumin was carried to the hospital with Sehun and Chanyeol. Our manager wouldn’t allow us to go to the hospital, afraid that sasaengs would target us.
We went to the SM building where Kris laid passed out. Everyone was still in shock, including me. We were all disturbed by what we saw.
You could say we were traumatized even.
A crazy psychotic fan is out there, stalking our every move. Whatever we are doing, she is watching us. ALWAYS.
I sat beside Tao who was still sobbing from shock. I stroked his hair, as he mumbled to himself. I looked around me, everybody’s face blank. There faces blotchy and stained with tears.
“My fault...All my fault…” Tao spat to himself.
“NO, IT’S NOT YOUR FAULT! IT’S HER FAULT!”
We all turned in surprise. Kris woke up, startled by Lay’s tone. His eyes wide….were they always like this? Slits….almost like a wolves. A small dragon tattoo imprinted onto his right hand.
Huh? When did he get that?
I snapped my attention back to Lay. He stood there, his fists clenched, his body shaking violently. Never have we ever heard Lay raise his voice.
“Lay..”I began softly. Looking at the other members, my eyes resting on Kris again. “I understand that you’re angry, we all are. But shouting won’t help.”
Lay’s eyes widened, suddenly realizing his outburst. He lowered his head, his bangs blocking his eyes, tears began dripping.
He’s feeling guilty.
His lips quiver. “I don’t want any of us to get hurt…...anymore.” He paused looking at me in the eye. “We are one...right?” He whispered.
I choked back a sob. At a time like this, the rely on me, as leader. As a brother.
“Yes, we are one. No matter what.”
Beep Beep
I pulled out my phone from my pocket, checking my messages.
My phone clattered on the floor, its screen cracking.
Hyung, help. She’s here.
“No…. NO! She can’t be…” I looked down in horror at the text message I received from Chanyeol.
She’s right outside Xiumin’s room. Help us hyung!
The others crowded around me, eyes widening at the text.
“I need to go.” I said urgently. “They need me.” I grabbed my coat and car keys. Kris immediately stood up, grabbing my wrist.
“I’m coming with you.” He countered, his legs shaking with effort as he was standing up.
“No.” I said firmly. We stared at each other, challenging the other to break the stare. The room’s atmosphere suddenly became intense, as we both glowered at each other. The other members looked nervously at each other, unsure of what to do. Kris sighed, breaking our eye contact.
“Fine, but at least take someone with you.” He ordered, sitting back onto the couch. He eyed him warily.
“I’m going.” Tao stood up, wiping his eyes. “I’m going with you, I’ve got a bone to pick with her.”
The corner of Kris's lips lifted, he broke into a light chuckle, the tip of his canine became visible, sharp like vampire. “Go….and be careful.” The slits of his eyes pierced mine.
“I will….I promise.”
All eyes were on me. I could see the desperation in all their eyes.
They needed to believe that they were safe.
Even, if they were not.
They need to believe that this is the end.
Even if it is just the beginning.
I have to protect them.
From the truth.
No matter what.
Even if it means to break their trust.
Even if it means to lie to them.
I have to.
For my sake.
For their sake.
My pupils turned into slits. An image of a raindrop engraved onto my left hand. I smirked.
When I get my hands on her…..She’s dead.
