Have We Met? [Sequel to A Deer and A Baozi]

Chapter 5

Ling's POV

She smelled of strong perfume. Her hair bashed against my face as she pulled me into a hug.

"Oh, I've missed you so much!" She said happily.

I nodded. "Same!"

We broke our hug and looked to our director for the show. Her grip on my arm was unwavering and she leaned her head on my shoulder, just as she did back in the day.

"Ling and Borin are the two MCs for the show." The director beamed at the members.

Sehun made a choking sound and I turned to look at him. His eyes were wide and his mouth was held slightly open. I looked around realising that all of the other members had the same expressions on their faces. A look of absolute shock and dismay covered their faces.

"No, absolutely not." Suho stepped forward. "Ling, okay, but Borin-"

I looked over at him and he stopped his sentence. Had he met her before?

"Ling," Xiumin's hand touched mine and I turned to look at him. "Come."

Without another word, Xiumin pulled me out of the office. I tried to pull out of his grip, but it was next to impossible. Borin gave me a worried glance, to which I returned a smile.

"It's okay." I mouthed as the door closed, shutting the other members in. I turned back to Xiumin and opened my mouth to complain.

"Ling, just-" His voice faded out, and I could see his ears growing red. Not want to make him anymore uncomfortable than he already seemed, I let him guide me.

We twisted and turned in the hallways, but not once did he let go of my hand. His grip on my hand was warm, and not to mention, familiar.

-----
Luhan's POV

There wasn't much the director wanted to tell us. He waved a hand at us and told us to leave shortly after Xiumin took Ling out. It didn't make me feel good knowing that Ling and Xiumin were alone, but there was something more important than that at the moment.

I caught Borin by the arm before she could leave and she glared up at me as if I had slapped her.

"What." She struggled to get out of my grip.

"What are you doing here?" I growled as the other members were leaving.

She sneered and slapped my hand away. Her eyes darted to the door as it clicked close. "What, am I not allowed to?"

I scoffed. "You have no right to show your face here again."

She said nothing and looked at her nails.

"Let me ask you again," I bit down, hardening my jaw in annoyance. "What are you doing here?"

"I'm filming the show." She sighed.

I waited, raising an eyebrow in suspicion. There was no way she was here only to film the show.

"You're scared of me." She smirked. "What, is my pretty face too much for you to handle?"

No longer able to restrain myself any longer, I pushed her back against the wall. She chuckled as I slammed my hand down next to her.

"What is it, have you fallen in love with me?" She grinned, covering her mouth with her hands.

Anger started to boil deep within me. I held my hand in a fist to hold back from hitting her across the face. "If you are going to bother Ling, or touch even one of her hairs, I will not stand back and do nothing."

She shook her head and giggled. "Lingling? Now why would I ever want to bother her?"

"STOP PLAYING!" I slammed my hand down next to her again. I could feel the heat gather around my face as my heart sped up from anger. My fist was itching for her face and my will to constrain myself was decreasing little by little.

"I'm not going to do anything," She said with a sigh. "Judging by what you did last time-"

She leaned in closer so that our noses were almost touching. The smell of her breath mint and perfume was overwhelming.

"Make sure you pick the right side this time Lu-hyung." She let the words linger on her lips before she pushed me back. My back slammed against the table and I winced in pain. She snickered and left the room, slamming the door as she went.

Pick the right side?
I kicked the nearby chair in frustration and it spun out of its place. How dare she?

My eyes lingered on the chair that was still spinning slightly. I guess, she's right, but believe me, I will never make the same mistake again.

-----
Ling's POV

He led me to the roof, his hand still tight around mine. We slowed down our pace as he looked around for anyone that could possibly eavesdrop on us. When he discovered it was safe, he turned to me, hands still tight around mine.

I waited for him to say something, staring into his big brown eyes for answers to his strange actions.

"We're going to miss the meeting if-"

"I don't like that you don't remember anything." He said flatly, cutting me off abruptly.

I nodded, once again feeling the guilt. "There's nothing I can do."

"I know." He paused and leaned in closer. The heat of his body was only inches away from me, yet nothing made me feel the need to move out of his way. "Before you left for America, I said something to you."

I nodded, uncertain where this was going.

"They were words that I had hoped you would remember." He muttered softly, pressing his forehead against mine. I felt his nose touch mine but I couldn't look away from his big brown eyes. I was entranced.

"Don't you remember our time together?" He whispered. "The way we shared our laughter, shared our joy-"

His voice drowned out as he thought hard about his next words. "Shared our nights together."

Our ni- what?
I pushed him away and stumbled back, tossing a disbelieving look at him.

"What did you say?" I had to clench my fist to keep my voice from rising.

"Ling, I didn't-"

"No, I asked you a question." A small throbbing itched in the back of my head but I ignored it. I glared at Xiumin, daring him to come any closer to me. Xiumin and I had shared nights together? Xiumin?

"Not just that," There was desperation in his voice. "You and I were inseparable. We were together and happy."

I scoffed and looked out at the city scape, trying desperately to understand the situation. What was he trying to say?

"I can't just look at you and accept the fact that you don't remember anymore." Before I could stop him, his hands gripped me by my shoulders. His frustrated eyes pierced into mine, trying so hard to get me to understand.

But I just couldn't.

I shook my head. "I don't remember, I really-"

I was on the verge of tears. I could feel Xiumin's frustration as if it was my own, except worst. How horrible must it have felt to have your loved ones forget memories you have developed with them.

Loved ones? Was I a loved one to Xiumin?

The throbbing grew bigger and bigger as I stared into Xiumin's eyes. His mouth moved urgently but I couldn't hear what he was saying even though he was inches away from me. I held on to his shirt to support myself but the world around me spun without gravity. My body felt afloat and Xiumin drifted further and further away from me.

"Xiu- Xiumin!" I called out as I reached out my hands to grab onto him. "Xiu- Minseok!"

A sudden burst of pain shot through my skull as if my brain was being sawed open. There was barely enough time for me to cry out in pain before everything before me went dark.

Everything but Xiumin's worried eyes, just inches away from mine.

Minseok!

Was it Borin who was crying when CEvilO was all evil laughter over the weird contracts? You said it was 'tears of sorrow".... Hmmm is there more to Borin than I thought? Maybe she's not all evil like I thought ... Hm ... I hope not. After all this emotional anger I have been going through in this fanfic, I need to kill SOMEONE.

WHAT IS GOING ON

I feel really suspicious... A sryinge? Maybe he is trying to make her forget all her exo memories for real ... The syringe had something in it? Or was it empty? And he acted like he was in Ling's life before, and that talk about "I wont let you ansnd (cant really remember xD)" almost sounds like what Luhan would say. Strange ...

And nooo Tao baby don't be like that *sobs*

How can you write those scenes, I'll never be abe to write them ... I'll probably end up sobbing and throwing my keyboard on the floor and my computer at the wall. Hehe ^^

Good luck with your updates! Fighting! :)
