Have We Met? [Sequel to A Deer and A Baozi]

Chapter 13

Ling's POV

I woke up to what felt like a very long nap. My head was throbbing and my body felt numb with exhaustion.

"Hey, how are you feeling?"

My eyes, focusing slowly turned to look at the figure. "Better, much better."

"Good." The voice was filled with concern. "I don't expect you to come back to the dorm, take your time to heal up."

My eyes adjusted to the whiteness of the walls as the person came into focus. His aged features surprised me slightly. He had aged since I last saw him.

"Young Min." My voice was urgent as I tried to get up from my bed to show my respect to the CEO of SM entertainment.

He held my hand tightly and shook his head. "Rest up Ling, it's okay."

A smile spread across his lips as he examined my eyes closely. "You really gave our company a big startle, not to mention a lot of work to cover all of this up."

I bit my lips, not knowing what to say. "Sorry."

He chuckled, evidently finding humour in something I thought was serious. "Xiumin said you knocked your head against the wall because you got scared."

I said nothing, memories of the events flooding my brain, making my lips burn at the thought. No, that's not what happened.

"The camera man managed to catch what happened, so you don't need to worry." He explained. "I'll have everything stored up from the media. We won't want the public finding out
how much of a scaredy cat you are now do we."

I hesitated, but nodded. He must have watched it then, he must've known that it didn't happen like that.

"Regardless Ling," he followed up. "Be careful, you're my best MC and I don't want to lose you. The boys are crafty, they're always trying to feed fake memories into you."

I blinked at him. "The boys?"

Young Min looked apologetic and regretful. "Sadly they aren't as pure as I thought they were. Especially Xiumin."

Again my face burned. Well, he was right about that.

Young Min leaned close. "That's why Ling, don't listen to the boys. The only people who are trying to help you are Borin and I."

I nodded. That's right, Borin. I let out a slow comforting sigh.

"We'll get your memories back, you can count on that." He beamed. "That's why I placed her in the show after all. To help you."

A rush of relief came over me as his soothing voice surrounded me. "Thank you."

He tilted his head and gave a final tap to my hand. "Any time Ling."

And with that, he left the room. I watched the door slid close, smelling the remnants of his cologne still lingering around the room.

It smelled familiar, though I don't remember if I ever liked it.

-----
Xiumin's POV

I was sitting in Young Min's cold office, eyes locked on the computer screen in front of me. There was only myself and Borin in the room, but the silence was extraordinary. Our eyes were tentative on the video before us, it's audio barely a whisper in the big room.

It was playing the scene from when I had brought Ling to the haunted house. Apparently, the camera man had captured everything on film, making me unable to snake out of this one with an excuse. Not that I had intended to.

I watched as I pressed Ling into the wall, our lips locked, and quiet moans escaping our parted lips. It was embarrassing and unbearable to see, like something that was illegal. Our kiss was fierce and-

I didn't give her time to breath. I was too rough.

"Wow Xiumin, look at you." Borin broke the silence. "Aren't you, well, passionate."

I flushed but made sure she didn't see it. My eyes stayed focused on the video. Ling, calling for me to stop, Ling, struggling to push me away and finally, Ling, falling unconscious in my arms.
I squirmed slightly in my seat, recalling the event in my head.

"Oh my." Borin's voice was sarcastic and I half wanted to jump on her.

The video turned black and her long manicured fingers came to push the laptop cover closed. "So, tell me, what do you think?"

I looked around the empty room. Why is it just her here, where is the boss?

"Hey, I'm talking to you." She spat, kicking me under the table.

I shot her a glare. "What, what do you want."

"I asked you a question." She snapped.

"And I don't care."

Without warning, Borin stood up from her spot, slamming both hands on the table. Her eyes stared into mine as she snaked closer to me, her tongue, peeking out of her mouth to lick her lips.

"That kiss of yours with Ling." Her eyes dropped to my mouth and I quickly realised that she has crawled onto the table. "Why don't you show me how it's done."

Her face was only inches away now. Her perfume smelled almost toxic and her hair was blowing wisps against my cheeks, making them itch.

"Get away from me." I said between gritted teeth.

She smiled and, as swift as lightning, pecked me on the lips. "Don't worry, there will come a day when you'll be head over heels in love with me."

I shook my head and stood up, wiping my mouth with my sleeves. "Keep dreaming, you freak."

Before she could say anything else, I stomped towards the door. There was no point in me being here if Young Min isn't even here. I couldn't stand breathing the same air as Borin, the girl that ruined everything. Before I could leave however, Young Min walked in with a cold smile on his face. He blocked the exit completely with his body and looked at me menacingly, making my legs quiver ever so slightly.

"And where are you going?" He pushed me back with his shoulders as he moved past me. "Sit down Minseok, we have a lot to talk about."

I really did not want to be here.

What was originally a tense atmosphere, seemed to have doubled in intensity during the short time Young Min walked in. I pulled my feet from their roots on the floor and turned around to face them.

"What are we going to talk about? I'm busy with my schedule Hyung." I muttered quietly, ignoring the small fit of giggle that Borin seemed to be in.

Young Min motioned for me to sit down again. "Don't worry about that."

I paused then moved myself into the seat furthest from the both of them. It all made sense now. Borin and Young Min were on the same side all this time. It would certainly explain why she was here in this room.

But why?

"Do you like Ling?" Young Min snapped me out of my thoughts. "Romantically I mean."

My mouth fell open slightly. What an odd question for him to ask, he never cared about our personal lives.

"I do." I said finally.

He nodded in understanding. "Then what do you say to me letting you date her?"

"W-what?"

Once again, Borin chuckled beside me. She stood up from her seat and moved behind Young Min, placing a hand on his shoulder almost seductively. "Aw, you're letting him date her? But what fun would that be?"

Young Min didn't seem bothered at all by her lack of formality. "Minseok, tomorrow, I'm planning on releasing an official statement about your relationship with Ling, how's that?"

I said nothing. This sounded too easy.

"With that official statement, you two will be able to go public with your relationship. You can bring her to places without being scared of the media, things like that." He smiled.

"And what do I have to do in return?" I asked uncertainly.

Borin let out a shrill laughter. "He catches on fast doesn't he."

I watched her skip around the table and come next to me, her fingers traced my cheek and came to rest on my lips. The feeling of her slender fingers sent shivers down my spine. My body told me to run, and yet I was frozen in the spot, unable to do or say anything. Borin look expectantly at Young Min with eyes that shined with respect and admiration.

"All you have to do Minseok," He turned to his desk and pulled out a small booklet of papers. "Is sign this contract."

Was it Borin who was crying when CEvilO was all evil laughter over the weird contracts? You said it was 'tears of sorrow".... Hmmm is there more to Borin than I thought? Maybe she's not all evil like I thought ... Hm ... I hope not. After all this emotional anger I have been going through in this fanfic, I need to kill SOMEONE.

WHAT IS GOING ON

I feel really suspicious... A sryinge? Maybe he is trying to make her forget all her exo memories for real ... The syringe had something in it? Or was it empty? And he acted like he was in Ling's life before, and that talk about "I wont let you ansnd (cant really remember xD)" almost sounds like what Luhan would say. Strange ...

And nooo Tao baby don't be like that *sobs*

How can you write those scenes, I'll never be abe to write them ... I'll probably end up sobbing and throwing my keyboard on the floor and my computer at the wall. Hehe ^^

Good luck with your updates! Fighting! :)
