Have We Met? [Sequel to A Deer and A Baozi]

Chapter 11

Ling's POV

I could hardly breathe. Half from how tight Sehun was holding me, half from my own will to hold my breath.

Sehun didn't say anything, and neither could I. We stood, clumped together in the middle of the kitchen, lost in the warmth of each other's bodies.

Feeling the colour rise in my face, I raised my arm and let out a long wavering breath. "S-Sehun, please."

His grip hardened.

"Sehun," I said a bit louder, finding my voice finally. "Let go of me."

"You'll leave." I hear him whisper. "You'll leave, like you did last time. If I had just held you tighter, you would've never left."

It was a sudden pinch of pain that made me lose my balance. A shiver ran up my spine as a blur of images rushed through my mind.

An airport.

A roaring of a crowd.

Roses.

I pushed Sehun away to stabilize myself on the counter. My hands shook slightly and my head swam with a jumble of information that I couldn't make sense of.

A dark office.

A cold laugh.

A blood curdling smile.

"Ling!"

I looked up to see a blurred image of Sehun, staring down at me with worried eyes. His hand pressed against my shoulder and I was suddenly brought back to my feet. I blinked, studying his hand curiously.

"Ling," His voice was a pitch higher than usual. "I didn't mean to overwhelm you."

I shook my head. "No, I'm fine."

He waited, locking his clear brown eyes with mine. Expectant and unwavering.

"What is it?" I furrowed my brows as he moved me to the couch.

It was in the brief seconds that I blinked that Sehun shifted in his position. It took me a full five seconds to register exactly what he was doing.

"S-Sehun!"

With one knee on the floor, he held my hand between his and pressed his lips to the back of my hand. I watched with my mouth half open as his eyes looked up at me with almost a desperate look of plead.

"Get up!" I exclaimed and stood up, only to be pulled back down into my seat. "What are you doing?"

He smiled and let out an embarrassed chuckle. "About me, and you, what do you-"

I stood up, cutting him off, this time not letting him push me down again. "Sehun, this is the last time I'm going to tell you this."

"You, have, a, girlfriend!" I announced, pausing at every word to make sure he could hear me.

His expression was hard and emotionless. I could see him harden his jawline as his eyes slowly dropped to the floor.

"And if I didn't?" He mumbled but I pretended not to hear.

"I'm going to cook dinner." I said firmly and turned away from him.

From the kitchen, I snuck glances at him between tasks and quickly realised just how much pain he was in. He stayed in the same position, unfaltering and seemingly entertained about something in his hands. When I squinted, I realised that he actually had tears streaming down his cheeks.

I gasped as a pinch of pain gathered in my chest.

I felt my breath get caught in my throat in a mixture of guilt and confusion. Was it something I said?

I bit my lip in an effort to make myself go over and apologize, but I couldn't move. I had said nothing wrong.

Had I?

-----
Xiumin's POV

I had a strange sense of déja-vu as I watched Sehun kneel before Ling as if he was proposing. The same feeling of anger stabbed my heart as it had when Luhan got to her before me a few years ago.

I clenched my hands into a fist and ducked behind the wall to fight back the urge to put Sehun in his place.

I can't believe it. Had he no shame to chase after Ling even though he already had a girlfriend?

Feeling dejected and suddenly very tired, I snuck around the two of them and into my room without a sound. Tomorrow, it'll be my turn, I'm not going to just stand aside anymore.

The next morning, I finished my schedule early. I was able to go home around lunch and I had planned to maybe take Ling out.

I bit my lip as I recalled what I had witnessed yesterday and shook my head to get rid of that image. No, Sehun has a girlfriend, whatever feelings he may have for Ling, she'll never accept.

Ling was lying on the couch when I returned. She didn't move when I closed the door, neither did she move when I moved to kneel beside her.

She was asleep. I watched her body rise and fall with every breath she took and felt at ease. I smiled and stood up quietly so not to wake her.

She looks tired, I can always take her another time.

"Xiumin?"

I turned. Ling rubbed her eyes and let out a yawn. Her hair was a mess from sleep and it fell all around her face. I chuckled as she tried to run her hand through it, failing terribly.

"Sorry, did I wake you?" I asked quietly and took my spot next to her.

She shook her head. "You're home early. I was waiting for someone to come back all morning. It's so boring at home by myself."

"I bet it was." I passed her a comb from the counter and she took it with a nod of her head.

"You should rest," she grinned. "Your schedule must've been exhausting."

I shook my head. "There's somewhere I wanted to go."

Her eyes widened with excitement. "Can I come? I've been couped up in the dorm for forever."

I beamed at her and stood up. "Of course."

She followed me out the door without question and together we filed into my manager's car. He winked at me as I sat down and nodded at Ling. As soon as the door closed, the car moved forward.

"Where are we going?" She whispered.

I grinned. "Somewhere with good memories."

She frowned and settled back in her seat. "I don't have those."

"You will, don't worry."

The car halted to a stop a few minutes later and I led Ling out by the hand. Her eyes wandered up at the large sign that hung over the entrance and her jaw dropped open.

"An amusement park?" She muttered with a confused look on her face.

I pulled her forward and led her through the entrance.

"H-hold on," she called out from behind me. "Why are we at an amusement park?"

I could only grin from ear to ear as I led her past the small crowds of people around us. There was only one reason I had for bringing her here.

The haunted house, where everything started.

-----
Ling's POV

I jumped at the sudden noise that came from the dark house that loomed over me. I narrowed my eyes and looked over at Xiumin with uncertainty.

Had I liked haunted houses in my past? I certainly don't like them now.

His mouth spread into a large smile and he grabbed hold of my hand. With all the force I could muster, I pulled my hand back before he could bring me inside. He looked back at me with surprise and tilted his head to one side.

"What's wrong?"

"I'm not going." I said, planting my feet down.

He chuckled. "That's what you said back then too."

I flushed red as he looked at me as if I was a child. "Then don't make me go in."

He hesitated then pressed the back of his hand to his nose. I could see his ears growing red and couldn't help but smile as he took a small step back.

Just when I had thought that I had won, Xiumin grabbed me by the hand and pulled me into the dark house before us. I gasped as the cold air rushed into my face and searched frantically for a sign of light in the dark.

"X-Xiumin?" I cried out as I felt the hand that I had heavily relied on leave me.

"X-Xiumin, where are you?"

The scene was familiar. Me, alone in the darkness and the cold.

I huffed as my hand found a wall, feeling the spider web-like textures between my fingertips.
I've been here before.

I blinked, slowly adjusting to the darkness. He was gone.

"X-Xiumin!" I called again, this time, a little more desperate. "Xiumin please!"

Silence.

Then it happened. It felt as if my head was being rammed into by a truck. My skull felt like it was splitting and my brain felt like mush.

I squeezed my eyes shut and cried out in pain, unaware of where I was, not caring. Just pain, endless, hard pain. With my hands clutching against the nearest support I could find, I slammed my head against the wall with all the force I could muster. I could feel the blood trickle down my face but I didn't care.

Make it stop. Anything, just make the pain stop!

Then an arm came around my shoulders. Warm arms that did not let go, warm arms that made the pain more bearable.

"Stop it, you're hurting yourself." His voice was shaking. "It's my fault. I brought you here, it's my fault."

"Xiu-"

I felt the tip of his nose nudge against my shoulder then I was spun around in his arms. His steaming breath brushed up against my cheeks before his damp forehead pressed against mine, slowly and gently. His fingers, tangled themselves in my hair and pressed hard at my temple, making a rush of relief spread through me. I could feel his presence inch closer to me in the darkness, sending a shudder down my spine as my body tingled with unknown anticipation.

Yet, I wanted to push him away. The thundering pain still resided in my head and confining me in his arms was definitely not helping. I applied a slight pressure to his arms, but I had no energy at all. The pain has numbed everything.

But not my taste.

Before I could even do anything else, the familiar flavour of his lips flooded my senses in an instant.

It started with a light peck, uncertain and careful. He hesitated as if fearful for the consequences, and yet there was a strange hunger about it that startled me.

Slowly and gently, he pressed himself on me. His hands, which were now at my side, clutched me as if his life depended on it, hastily trying to make their way up my shirt and to my back. I shuddered at the touch of his cold nervous fingers as he stroked my spine with ease. His mouth, which had now become urgent, was pushing me back.

We wobbled, together in one whole, towards the wall and found support in our frantic chemistry of tongue. I could feel his warm stomach against mine as my back slammed into the wall. He whispered my name once quietly in my ear before pinning my arms to my side and pressing his wet lips hungrily down my neck.

"Xiumin!" I cried out in a mixture of pain and confusion before I was once again suffocated by the taste of his lips. I was struggling now. My head felt as if it was floating and I didn't know what was happening. I tried to push him away, but my arms felt limp and lifeless. All I could do was let him have his way with me; let him pin his leg between my legs. My breath got caught in my throat as he rubbed his knee against the insides of my thighs and I suddenly felt panic spread through my body.

What was he planning to do? He couldn't be-

I swallowed hard as I tried to get a breath of air, but his urgent lips wouldn't let me. My hair was a mess, and I could no longer tell the difference between our mingled sweat and my-

Blood.

There's blood.

Lots of it.

Notes

K, if you know me as a writer, then you would know that I always have extra chapters finished, meaning, I upload one chapter but have the next two or three chapters finished and just kept for the next update. THIS CHAPTER, i kid you not, IS THE LAST CHAPTER I HAVE WRITTEN SO FAR. I HAVE NOTHING FOR THE NEXT CHAPTER, it just shows how much I wanted to push this chapter out to you guys... coz i had a BLAST writing it.

WHAT IS GOING ON

I feel really suspicious... A sryinge? Maybe he is trying to make her forget all her exo memories for real ... The syringe had something in it? Or was it empty? And he acted like he was in Ling's life before, and that talk about "I wont let you ansnd (cant really remember xD)" almost sounds like what Luhan would say. Strange ...

And nooo Tao baby don't be like that *sobs*

How can you write those scenes, I'll never be abe to write them ... I'll probably end up sobbing and throwing my keyboard on the floor and my computer at the wall. Hehe ^^

Good luck with your updates! Fighting! :)
