Chae Seol’s POV
This is it. The day where all of my hard works finally pays off. I asked myself again. Is this the ‘future’ that I really wanted since from the very beginning? I looked out for words but my self only speaks one word; “Yes.” Everything that I came past through It gave me strength to move forward and arrive to where I am right now. I looked around to where I was standing as I took a deep breath. ‘This is where I belong. This… This is just the end of the beginning.’

“Hana, Dul, Set… Queens(L)ane Hwaiting!” We all said cheerfully as we put our hands together. We all went to the stage and got into our places as the lights are still off. Loud cheers from the crowd filled the dark stage.

‘This is really, really big performance. There’s countless of people in front of me right now.’

I closed my eyes and handle my nervousness. But behind that nervousness, there’s myself. The happy and proud me. But I only remember one thing my sunbae told me…


“When you step on stage. Nervousness will lead you, trust me. It’ll lead you but don’t let it control you. The sacrifices and hard times of training will make you a better idol. Cherish every moment, every beat, every rhythm, and the cheers of the crowd. Cause this will keep you going through the very hard times of being an idol. Remember that.” CL sunbae told me. It gave me confidence, courage and a powerful feeling I never felt before.


The music started playing and my body follows every beat of it. I saw other member’s expressions and they are happy as I am as well.


In the middle of the performance, my eyes lingered to the exit door near the other speakers. A man wearing all black with his black cap on, without his staff ID, looking at our direction.


‘Aye he’s just probably a sound guy. Stop over reacting.’ I think to myself.


The performance ended well and we were all panting like we’re ready to exhale our lungs out. The staff from the corner of the stage gave us some water and we started to cool down.
We started to introduce our self and our position in our groups. Then we started each group’s performance number.


I rushed to the corner of the stage when Akkane burst out of crying and catch my shoulder to cry on. I comforted her and patted her back. The staff gave her water and she stopped crying.

“What’s wrong?” I asked, worried.


“I’m so happy after all the training that I did, I could finally debut.”


I smiled as I heard her crying and I saw her bright smile.


“You deserve it.” I replied.


She hugged me back and the both of us got ready to go back on stage for our dance performance… With EXO and BTS.

I forgot. This performance focuses on skinship and eye contacts... I’m doomed.

After all of the dramas that happened in the past few days, this beats Kdrama for sure.

The rest of the members got down on stage and the lights on stage went off for seconds. Then, BTS came with a strong aura that struck the rest of our members. Taehyung sunbae gave us that super cute and friendly charm like what the rest of the BTS members did.


.. But this is the total opposite of what Jungkook gave me.


He gave me a dark and cold as an ice glare as he walks in. And forced a ‘friendly’ smile while greeting the other members.

Then EXO came from the other entrance.


Chanyeol avoided my eyes as the others greeted me cheerfully. Kai and Jungkook exchange death glances to each other as they stepped closer to each other, with their hands in their pockets.


I gulped as I took a step closer to them.

'Not again...' I muttered.


“Okay BTS, EXO, please go to stage now.” Some staff guided them.


They went to the stage and my whole body was in complete ease.


They started off with BTS and EXO as an intro. Then they played a mashup of ‘Fire’ and ‘Monster.’ On which I could tell Jungkook is not in the mood to change his expressions and he is into his ‘bad boy’ role.


“Okay. Remember. The concept for this special stage is about EXO and BTS fighting over you guys. We want you to keep that ‘bad girl’ image. And last but not the least… Please be comfortable around them but professional at the same time. Please keep that in mind.” Our manager remind us as we got ready to enter the stage.


The music starts and BTS and EXO’s exchange stare got us shook.


“Okay now, go!” A staff told us.


I entered the uncomfortable stage and I just focused on the crowd.


‘Oh my. Why does the concept have to be this dark? Focus Chae Seol… Focus.’ I told myself.


I remember my screen time and looked at the camera.


As I was trying myself to focus, I didn’t notice that I was stepping closer and closer to the fireworks attached to the stage.


We were near to the climax of the song and I was still standing on the very front of the stage when someone pulled my wrist from behind. I smoothly spin and the fireworks went off.


I looked at the person who pulled me and I saw Jungkook. His hands on my waist and his hands still on my wrist. He still has that cold and dark stare he gave me earlier. The spotlight went a little dim and and we were standing at the center of the stage.


Fortunately, it was Jungkook who pulled me and it’s pretty much our time for our closing performance. That means after our performance, it’s the end for today’s debut stage.


The both of us were left and he let me go coldly as he unbuttoned his black jacket. He bit his lips and stroke his hair with his fingers.


“It ain’t my fault you keep turning me on…”



The first line of the song played. I let all of my emotions out. And when I say all, I mean that includes my side that I never showed anyone. Jungkook and I were perfectly synced on the beat of the song.

In the middle of the performance, we made eye contact and he smirked at me.


‘Nice song choice director.’ I thought in my mind.


The rest of the BTS, EXO and Queens(L)ane members got on stage and our performance ended with my arm on Jungkook’s shoulder and the distance between us is really close. We could hear each other panting with the intense choreography.


I looked at him and he glared at his shoulder. I took my arm down and he walked down to the backstage all by himself. The staff avoided him because of his cold mood and they just let him go wherever he want, including his manager.

“He has a mood like that. Don’t worry too much. He’s gonna cool off later.” Namjoon oppa told me on our way down.


‘Why am I so dumb that I just realized that I made his mood like this because of what happened earlier? Chae Seol pabo-yah.’ I thought to myself.
