Friendship Connections || EXO

Akkane’s POV
We got out of the practice room with our managers and we went to EXO’s Practice room. The noisy room transitions to silence quickly as soon as we entered the room.


Ms. Song stepped forward her eyes lingered in the four corners of the room. All of us behind her, waiting for EXO’s Manager to show up.


“Hello Ms. Song! What brings you here and the members?” Suho asked in curiousness as he bowed respectfully.


“We’re just looking for one of our girls. But it looks like she’s not here so…… I guess we’re clear. Don’t worry she’s kinda like a trouble maker so nothing’s new.” Ms. Song turned her back with a heavy disappointed sigh.


We were on the way out of the room when a male voice stopped us.

“Oh! Queens(L)ane managers right? Oh, but what are you doing here? Is there any problem?” We turned around as we saw EXO’s manger with a slight pout forming on his lips.


“It’s just our member went somewhere without any messages. You know, there’s always that trouble maker in the group.” Mr. Kim chuckled.


“Aaah, I understand 100%” EXO’s manager laughed “Chanyeol is one of them” he added and the whole room was filled with laughter.


“It’s just, Namjoon dragged her somewhere right?” Lay whispered. All of us heard him and the room went silent again. All of us looked at him.


“Namjoon of BTS?” Mr. Kim squeezed his eyes with a sarcastic feeling. Baekhyun smiled nervously and Xiumin and Chen giving him the ‘eyes’ secretly while the rest of the EXO members scratched their head.


“He’s right. We can help find her if that’s okay?” Kai added from behind. His arms crossed and his blond hair almost covering his eyes.

Ms. Song rolled her eyes in stress “It’s okay, you guys prepare for your comeback tomorrow. We’ll find her.”


Chae Seol’s POV
After we asked the receptionist about my ‘dad’s’ room, Namjoon and I took the elevator with complete silence. The scent of the hospital always gives chills in my body which Is I found strange. However, I didn’t show any interest in talking and let him shut his mouth the whole time.


We’re in front of the open door when I saw a man laying on the hospital bed; the man who is familiar to me. The man who used to pour cereals in my bowl and going to the park is the only memory I remember with him. The nurses and doctors panicking and doing their jobs at the same time. Doctors checking him and the nurses giving the doctors they need.


“He’s not getting enough blood. His vitals are not stable. The infection from his injuries are now spreading through his body. Page Cardio, Neurologist and book an O.R right away!” The doctor yelled.


Namjoon stood there not knowing what to do. His hand on his head not knowing what to do. I looked at the man on the bed and felt my heart sank in a way I don’t know if I should feel or not.


“Is...is that my dad right there?” I asked him and he looked in my eyes.

“Yes. Yes he is.”

The nurse slightly ran towards me and looked at Namjoon.

“Are you the donor?” The nurse asked me in a hurry.


“Yes she is. Please let me know if she’s compatible.” Namjoon pushed me to the nurse slightly before saying a word. I stuttered when the nurse asked me to follow her to a different room and asked me to lay on the bed.


Namjoon’s POV
Not long after Chae Seol went with the nurse, Jungkook called me.


“Hyung, you need to come back here right now! I can take over and go with her. But for now, you need to show that you’re practicing cause everyone here thinks you’re ‘wanted’ for taking one of their most promising debuting artists. Oh I heard that their debut song ‘Throne’ slayed the charts! Have you heard of that? Of course we have our appearance on the M/V so I’m sure they slayed. Hyung you there…..”


I hung up and went to the building right away. I promise SM Entertainment’s advertising is really no joke. Posters of Queens(L)ane they even arranged the couches in the lobby.


I entered the room where the members are. I looked for Jungkook but he left already. The BTS members, the EXO members and the Queens(L)ane members were in the same room practicing for their debut stage. With our appearance and the EXO members.


Chanyeol and Kai from different direction stole a cold as ice glare at me as I walked towards the BTS members.


‘Just what exactly in the world is their problem? Aish’ I whispered under my breath.

“Yah! Where have you been and have you seen Jungkook?” Jimin asked.


“It’s just…. You know where.”


“He went somewhere and caused trouble instead of practicing.” Chanyeol said loud enough for all of the artists to stop and look at me.


“What did you just say?” Yoongi stepped forward with a husky, serious voice.

I held his arm and saw his knuckle all crumped up ready to throw a punch at Chanyeol.
‘Geumanhae (Stop it) Yoongi hyung~’ I whispered at his ear avoiding any eye contacts with anyone.

“You didn’t hear? Oh do you Chanyeol hyung to repeat it again?” Kai teases while Baekhyun was pulling away Chanyeol and Kai. Like what I was doing; Scared to start any fight.


“Why do you guys care about her so much? Uh? Yah Kai why don’t you mind your own girlfriend? What was her name? Ah Yeon Ra? Right. I heard she’s coming back. You should be careful cause rumors about dating here spread like wildfire. So find another thing to do while I’m still being nice.”


Kai almost reached Yoongi hyung’s face when each managers from different groups came and saw the scene.

“What do you think you’re doing right now both of you! Stop this and focus practicing!”

Jungkook’s POV
Aish the scent of the hospital. I shouldn’t have come here in the first place. Namjoon hyung is really lucky to have a friend like me! So kind, handsome, and even cover things up for him. Ae~ he should feel blessed.


I found Chae Seol’s room and saw her lying on the hospital bed sleeping. The nurse discussed things to me about her and she left me alone with her. The complete silent room felt weird so I sat on the chair near the side table and put on my earphones. I moved my head back and forth following the rhythm of the song as I slowly closed my eyes.


“Yah. you’re music is really loud I can hear it from here.” Some voice interrupted.


I took out my earphones and looked at her. “You’re awake! Oh sorry.”


She smiled and put her hand on her forehead “It’s okay. But where’s Namjoon Oppa?”


“I asked him to leave and practice. He’s wanted now cause you just disappeared with you without telling them. You’re wanted too you know.” I chuckled while she smiled and looked at me.

“Oh right!” She tried to stood up and almost fell unfortunately. I rushed to hold her shoulders and my attention caught her pale face and lips.

“What are you trying to do… Just now?” I widened my eyes at her with worry.


“Our debut is tomorrow! I need to practice.”


“Did you know that they took one bag of blood from you and you passed out? And you’re still weak to practice.” I stuttered. "If I were you I would feel the bed right now cause once you debut you just wish to sleep all day long!" I looked at her still not convinced.

Aaaahh! My foot aaahh!” I yelled.


“Jungkook-ssi are you okay? Aye how did you hurt your foot and just ached all of a sudden.” She bent down to check on me. I smiled on how my Hollywood acting worked on her.

“Cause this girl at the elevator building that I met yesterday stepped on my foot. Pfft, She can’t really recognize me. She’s kinda my type tho---”

Chae Seol’s POV
I stopped for a second processing the elevator scene plus the ‘step on the foot’ scene with a man that I didn’t know.


‘It….it was….Jungkook sunbaenim?!’ I felt my heart ready to burst at any rate, my cheeks burning hot and having goosebumps.


“Hey are you okay? Do you not feel good? Do you want me to call the doctor. Wait here.” He stood up and I held his jacket sleeves and he looked down at me as I was sitting on the ground.


“How….did you know about that?” I asked almost murmuring.


He smirked and leaned his face towards mine; An almost nose to nose contact. “I guess you remember now ‘rude girl.’ Nice to meet you, again.”

Suddenly I felt conscious about myself and avoided to look in his eye.

His eyes, nose, lips, scent. Everything. Okay, yeah he’s an angel in disguise. He is….

I looked around the room but him. As a tick of clock, with his fingertips, he turned my chin to look at him. He suddenly gave me that bunny eyes smile from ear to ear.


He patted my head that swings my bangs side to side. “Aigoo! You’re sooo cute. Really.”
Not too long my phone rang. It was Akkane.


“Ya! Where are you right now?! You missed the scene. Suga, Chanyeol and Kai sunbaenim almost got into a fight. I guess they can’t really stay in one room don’t you think? The first time I saw BTS coming here at SM I smelled something…. Ish. Kings vs Kings!”

“I’m going there wait for me.”


“What happened?” Jungkook sunbae asked.

“It’s about Suga sunbaenim and the EXO members.” I pouted in disappointment.


“I knew it. Suga hyung isn’t in a good mood when I left him there. He was more irritated.”


Jungkook grabbed the wheelchair and assisted me to sit. On our way out a doctor met us with his scrub suit and his surgical cap on.


“Excuse me but, are you Ms. Park Chae Seol?”

I nodded my head slowly as my heart beat lost its rhythm. “Wae-yo? (Why)”

“The patient suffered from losing too much blood and the infection from the big wound that the accident left spread through his entire body.’m sorry but we did everything we can to prevent the infection specially from spreading through his brain. Right now we declared that he’s brain dead. There’s only a small percentage that he will wake up.”


“What did he just say…. That he’s dead?”
