If Dreams Could Tell

Baekhee's POV

Rap Mon looked at Jin, "Should we tell her?"

"You've hid it long enough. I think it's time to tell." Jin said.

Rap Mon sighed and turned to me, "Ever wonder why our name is Bts? Bangtan. It means bulletproof. Each one of us had been through a hardship."

"What does this has to do with what happened today?" I asked. I didn't need to know what their name means. But what hardship?

"Let me finish. By hardship I mean, for example Jimin. He lost his parents when they went to the beach when they drowned." He continued.

That was probably why he was hesitant when we went to the beach the first time. Jimin was probably so shocked when his parents drowned. I could imagine a little Jimin with a pale and terrified face.

"What happened to the others?" I was curious. What they were hiding for months was finally soon to be revealed.

"J-hope's parents went broke. They didn't pay much attention to him even if he starved. He spent his whole life like that until he ran away. I found him and helped pay for his education."

"Who's next?" Rap Mon scratched his chin, "How about Jungkook? His parents are serving time in jail, Jungkook was left to live by himself."

"Jungkook had gotten into street fights before we knew the guys Jungkook was fighting is on Jae Seok's side." Jin added.

I remembered that time when Jungkook came home wounded. That makes more sense now, though he doesn't look like one to get into fights.

"What about V?"

"V? He's one of the worse out of us. V's alcoholic dad was abusive to his mother. He would always come home to see them arguing or his mother beaten on the floor. He ran away like J-hope, and they became besties." Rap Mon and Jin made eye contact. "V had recently gotten calls from his mother to come back. He obeyed thinking something had changed, but it was just the same. V came back to us stressed."

A memory of V's dark circles flashed in my brain.

"V hates how his father says his name. Taehyung. It sounded like something was clogged up his throat. He hates to be called Taehyung, so we call him V."

"Suga...he killed his own parents." Rap Mon said.

I gasped.

"It was purely an accident though. He didn't mean it. Just an unfortunate accident where he was playing around with a lighter, and burnt the whole house down. Suga was safe though. He got pulled out by the firefighters, but they couldn't do anything for his parents."

I never knew Suga had such a hard life. But then again, their name is Bulletproof.

"Oh yeah. I forgot myself. 3 intruders came in my house and shot my parents. End of story. I don't like to talk about it." Rap Mon said.

"What about Jin?"

"I was an orphan just like you." Jin smiled.

I understood everything now. It was as if I had amnesia and all my memories came back. "Rap Mon, why does it seem like you're in charge of everything? You're clearly not the oldest."

"I thought you'd ask that. I was the one that found everyone, so we decided I was the leader." Rap Mon explained.

Everything was clear now. About Jimin and water, Jungkook and fights, and V with his unusual dark circles.

"Why didn't you tell me this a long time ago? Do you not trust our friendship?"

"N-No, I do." Rap Mon stuttered.

"Then why didn't you tell me?"

He didn't speak. Jin took a hold of my arm, "Come on, you know that's not true."

I shrugged it off, "I see how it is." I thought we were friends. At first I let it slide, but now that Bts played a big role in my life, it makes me think I wasn't enough of a trustworthy friend.

I ignored their calls and went up to my room.


No One's POV

It has been weeks since You had a normal conversation with Rap Mon and Jin.

They were currently video chatting the others.

"We told Baekhee about our secret." Rap Mon said. "She found out about what happened at the alley when she and Jin Hyung were on a date."

"She what?" Suga's eyes flew open. "Does...she know about me?"

Jin lowered his gaze, "Yeah."

Suga groaned and ruffled his hair, "Now she probably thinks I'm a teenage almost to be adult murderer."

"She doesn't." Jin said, "She didn't care much. I don't think she blames you."

"Ths real problem here is, she thinks she's not trustworthy enough for us to tell her about this because we didn't tell her and kept it a secret from her for a long time." Rap Mon said.

"The only choice is to just tell her the truth. It wasn't that she isn't trustworthy enough, she is, but we didn't think she was ready for it." V advised.

"We weren't ready to tell her either." He muttered.

"She'll understand." Jungkook said.

"Hopefully."

Rap Mon smacked Jin's head. "Of course she will! What do you expect from your girlfriend?"

Jin sheepishly grinned, "You're right."

He turned to the camera, "Did I tell you Baekhee can fight? She was so cool!" Jin said.

"I'm not surprised. I knew she was also hiding something from us." J-hope grinned.

"Jimin, you're in the game this round." Someone from Jimin's team said in English. "I gotta go guys, I'm have a big game right now."

"He improved in his English." Rap Mon said.

"Good luck!" Jin waved.

Jimin said a quick, "Thanks" and shut his computer.

The others soon went to go sleep leaving Jin and Rap Mon. "Should we just tell her now?"

"Good idea."

They went up and knocked on your room. When they heard no response, they slowly creaked open the door to see you laying down on your bed listening to music.

You took your earbuds off, "Oh. Hi."

"We need to talk to you about something." Jin said sitting on your bed and putting his hand on your head.

"Go ahead, I'm listening." You closed your eyes.

"Baekhee, you're one of the most trustworthy people I know." Rap Mon said, "There was a reason why we didn't tell you about the secret until now. We thought you wouldn't be ready."

"I was always ready." You said.

"At that time you probably thought Jungkook was just a innocent little child that didn't get into fights. Same with the others. Were you actually ready to hear the shocking news?" Rap Mon asked.

You opened your eyes. That was true. You thought everyone was different from what Rap Mon had told you.

"If I remember correctly, you never told us you could fight. Now we're even." Jin kissed you on the forehead.

You cracked a smile, "You're right. I'm sorry."

"Let's go on another date. This time I won't let anything interfere, I promise." Jin said.

The both of you hadn't had a date since the time Rap Mon told you about them, which was 2 months ago. Jin had still waited for you at college, but the walk home was silent.

"Rap Mon..."

"It's okay, I won't 3rd wheel. I have work." He said.

Jin looked back at you, "Then it's settled. Let's go on a date tomorrow."
