If Dreams Could Tell

Baekhee's POV

We sat comfortably by the fire Suga made as we sat in silence. The fire grew dimmer and the fire eventually ran out.

"Are any of you asleep yet?" Jimin asked in the dark.

"No...Suga Hyung?"

Even in the dark, I could hear him shift in his seat, "What?"

"I don't want to go to school tomorrow." Jimin said.

"Well go tell that to Jin or Rap Mon. I don't care, good night." Suga yawned.

"Lets stay here. I don't mind." Jin said.

"That's a first." Rap Mon said, "I thought you wouldn't let us."

"Why wouldn't I? School's boring." Jin said.

"What about our finals? It's next week." Jungkook reminded, "I need to get into a college or else I'm nothing." He quietly said.

"Come on Jungkookie! You'll be fine!" J-hope brightened up the mood.

"We can study here. I have my backpack in the trunk." I said.

"You like to skip school too?" V walked over and pulled me into a headlock, "You should be going to school. You're the youngest out of us."

"Much smarter than you though." I said. "You were the one that pulled me along with you to ditch school."

"Respect me! I'm older." V pouted.

"For now let's just sleep, and wake up tomorrow." Jin said. "Good night everyone."

"Night."


I had been talking to Seokjin for quite a while now. We had gotten closer after our last encounter. I told him how Jin reminds me of him.

"This Jin dude is right in front of you, you just don't know it." He said.

"You always say that. I don't know what you mean."

"Well are you saying I'm an idiot too?" Seokjin chuckled.

"N-no!" I shook my hand furiously in from of me, "Of course not!" Why would he compare himself to Jin? Come to think about it, their names do sound similar.

"I meant-" I looked to my right where Seokjin was suppose to be sitting. He wasn't there anymore. I sighed. Sometimes he would just disappear without warning.


As usual, I was the first to wake up. I looked around. There wasn't much to do since the others weren't awake yet.

What would I do without them? I rely on them to make me entertained. I am relying on them right now. Waiting for them to wake up.

I busied myself by squatting beside the pool looking at my reflection. I noticed someone else's reflection appear next to mine.

"Jin?"

"Morning." He smiled. My heart skipped a beat. Why would my heart betray me? He's not the one I like.

"You too." I simply said.

"It's funny how we only knew each other for about a week and I already feel like we had something in common." Jin said.

"By common you mean, I like pink? Sorry but I don't." I looked back at my reflection.

"Not that." He laughed, "Our childhood." He muttered.

"What did you say?"

"And that shall be a secret." Jin stood up.

"What did you even say?" I asked.

"Nothing!" He said back as he woke the members up.


Jimin closed his textbook and whined. "How am I suppose to memorize these formulas?"

"Study." I said.

"Isn't there like any other way?"

"No."

"You're so straightforward." Jimin said. We were now currently at the abandoned pool while studying and doing homework.

I looked at my next subject. Biology. I groaned. I hated biology. Don't blame me, it was my teacher's fault. His boring and nerve-wrecking (Since he calls on random people to answer questions we haven't even learnt about) attitude got me hating the subject.

I listened to what he was saying, but I would forget right after. Biology just wasn't my thing.

Jin seemed to have noticed, "Need help?" He asked.

"No. I can survive by myself." I said.

He shrugged, "Suit yourself."

After mentally complaining, and slamming my head on the homework for a few times, I threw my textbook at Jin, "I'm only saying this once-"

"I'll help you." He said cutting you off. "What do you need help with?"

I scanned through my homework, "Everything."


Jin's POV

I don't mind helping her, I really don't.

Baekhee scanned through her homework, "Everything." She said.

I was just happy she let me help her so I could spend some time with her. Of course she doesn't know that.

I explained what she needed to know, not exactly telling her the answers.

I watched as she nods. Her slightly cute messed up hair due to her frustratedly ruffling it, had gotten butterflies in my stomach.

"Do you understand now?" I asked.

"A bit more." She said. "Thanks I guess."

I don't know if I should feel proud that she understood and that I'm a great teacher, or sad that I wouldn't be spending time with her.

She was sitting right next to me but I don't consider that as spending time with her.

I looked down at my next subject.

I tapped Baekhee's shoulder and smiled at her sheepishly. "Are you good at math? Cause um." I pointed down at my homework.


Baekhee's POV

Jin pointed down at his homework. I guess he wants me to help?

"Only because you helped me." I said crossing my arms.

"Alright." He smiled. Here goes that smile again that sent shivers down my spine, in a good way.

He nodded at every single word I said. Is he even listening? If he fails, that's not my problem.

"How do you draw the PI sign?" He asks.

I wanted to slapped my forehead, but held back the urge to.

"Okay thanks!" He gave me a bear hug.

"Yeah sure."


Jin's POV

She was surprisingly patient with me. I admit that I actually knew how to do the problems. I knew how to do them all along, I had asked Baekhee to help me so I can spend time with her.

I don't think she noticed. I'm calling that plan a success.

We continued our homework until we heard the trees shuffle. "What was that?" J-hope clung onto Rap Mon. Someone appeared out of the bushes and smirked.

"What a coincidence to see you guys here."
