[May 14th Saturday] Since Dahyun stopped working at the hotel for the time being, she took the time to practice her solo in her dorm room. She practiced and practiced on the rap part and got it perfectly. She moved on to the vocal part of her song and couldn’t match the beats. Her voice didn’t match the song and she had no other idea how to replace it. She couldn’t use auto tune because that was against the rules. So she thought of an alternative to who could sing that part and no one came to her mind until Yoonmae called her on her cellphone.

Dahyun (*answers her phone) : Hello ?
Yoonmae : Dahyun-ah. we are going to have lunch in a couple minutes.
Yoonmae (*asks) : do you want to come ?
Dahyun : sure. i have good news to share with you guys.
Yoonmae : okay. we’ll meet at our usual spot.
Dahyun : okay.

Dahyun hung up the phone and got ready to have lunch with Yoonmae and Jooin. She wore a white long sleeve with red stripes on it, high waisted jean shorts, tall ankle black boots, hair tied up in a pony tail, leather crossbag.

While changing, she remembered that Jooin Unnie had sang before while working and her voice was really good. So she thought about asking Jooin Unnie to sing for her solo project of the talent show.

As Dahyun, Yoonmae, and Jooin were having lunch together, they talked and it gave Dahyun the time to ask Jooin Unnie the favor.

Dahyun (*calls Jooin) : Unnie.
Jooin (*asks) : what is it ?
Dahyun : i was wondering what you were doing on the 17th of next week.
Jooin : it’s my day off on that day. (*asks) why ?
Dahyun : i wanted to invite the both of you to the talent show.
Dahyun : everyone in school is performing and might be able to join a music company
Dahyun : that is if we get selected.
Yoonmae : sure, we’ll come.
Dahyun : great Omma.
Dahyun : Unnie. i want you to sing with me for my solo project.
Jooin : i can’t do that. i can’t even sing Dahyun.
Dahyun : i heard you sing once while working and it was great.
Dahyun (*begs) : please ? i need someone to sing the vocal part while i rap the song.
Jooin : i don’t know.
Dahyun : you can do it. do it for me.
Dahyun : if this goes successfully which i think it will,
Dahyun : you can move on from working at the hotel.
Dahyun : it’s something you always wanted. your talented, i know you are.
Jooin : it is true. (*asks) but what happens when they ask me to join their company ?
Dahyun : that’s totally up to you to decide.
Dahyun : we have to do well on this project.
Dahyun : the talent show is in 3 days and we have to start rehearsing like right now.
Dahyun : the producers of the show wants everyone to rehearse all day monday
Dahyun : and tuesday morning.
Dahyun : the talent show is on Tuesday at 4pm. Doors open for the audience is at 3pm.
Dahyun : i really need your help Unnie.
Jooin : fine, i’ll do it.
Dahyun : thank you so much.
Yoonmae : look at my two girls, all grown up and doing what they love.
Yoonmae : we have to get to work now.
Dahyun : i’ll see you guys on Tuesday and Unnie tonight after work to practice.
Jooin : okay.

Yoonmae and Jooin went to work while Dahyun sat there thinking of something. She got a text message from Hyunwoo saying....

Hyunwoo : where are you ?
Dahyun : i’m at a cafe near school. why ?
Hyunwoo : i was wondering if we could meet.
Dahyun : sure. is there anything wrong ?
Hyunwoo : no. i just need a friend right now.
Dahyun : alright.
Hyunwoo : meet me at the garden in 15’ ?
Dahyun : ok.

Dahyun paid for her food and walked out of the cafe to the garden. She saw Hyunwoo sitting on the same bench she sat weeks ago when she was upset. She walked over to sit next to him.

Dahyun (*asks) : what’s wrong ?
Hyunwoo : just thinking about life.
Dahyun (*asks) : oh yeah ? what is this really about ?
Hyunwoo : it’s about my dad and the hotel job.
Dahyun (*asks) : your thinking about working with him at the hotel
Dahyun : after the talent show huh ?
Hyunwoo : i realized that if i stick around at SATA until i graduate,
Hyunwoo : i’m not going to be able to achieve anything.
Hyunwoo : you were right. i’m not good at thing nor am i talented in any department.
Hyunwoo : the hotel job is all i have left and if i don’t do it then i’ll regret it the rest of my life.
Dahyun (*asks) : what’s going to happen with school ?
Hyunwoo : i’m going to drop out after the talent show is over and start working at the hotel.
Dahyun : i couldn’t be more proud of you making this decision.
Hyunwoo (*asks) : what are you going to do with your dad’s hotel ?
Dahyun : i have everything i need to get the hotel back.
Hyunwoo (*asks) : why don’t you get it back before it’s too late ?
Dahyun (*asks) : what do you mean before it’s too late ?
Hyunwoo : my dad told me that Miyoung is going to tear down your dad’s office
Hyunwoo : and turn it into something.
Hyunwoo : she might ruin the entire hotel with her upcoming new idea.
Dahyun : i’m not sure if it’s the right thing to do, taking back the hotel in my hands.
Dahyun : i can’t manage the hotel on my own.
Dahyun : i don’t even know the first thing i should do if i have my hands on the hotel.
Dahyun : it’s harder than it looks Hyunwoo.
Hyunwoo (*asks) : don’t you have an idea ?
Hyunwoo : you always come up with the greatest ideas Dahyun.
Dahyun : i have one but i don’t know if it’ll work out.
Hyunwoo (*asks) : what is it ?
Dahyun : i wanted to get Yoonmae Omma, Jooin Unnie, your dad, and you
Dahyun : to help me manage each department in the hotel.
Hyunwoo (*asks) : like what ?
Dahyun : like Yoonmae, the manager of the maids. Jooin, the music and event manager.
Dahyun : your dad can stay in his original position or
Dahyun : boost him up to vice president of the hotel.
Hyunwoo (*asks) : and me ?
Dahyun : and you can be the other vice president of the hotel.
Hyunwoo (*asks) : and what are you going to do ?
Dahyun : i’ll be there for the meetings, managing,
Dahyun : and looking out for the employees when i can.
Dahyun : like a real boss.
Hyunwoo : it seems like you have it all planned out.
Dahyun : i do but the only thing that's keeping me from doing that is my stepfamily.
Hyunwoo (*asks) : and why can’t you ?
Dahyun : because i’m not that kind of person to do that.
Dahyun : they did raise me after my parents died.
Dahyun (*asks) : do you know me lately ??
Hyunwoo (*smiles & says) : that’s true but what can we do ?
Dahyun : right now, im more focus on the talent show and succeeding.
Dahyun : maybe i'll do something after the show is over with the hotel.
Hyunwoo : you better do something or else everyone at the hotel is going downhill.
Dahyun : i know Hyunwoo.
Dahyun (*asks) : are you going to be there to help me then ?
Hyunwoo (*smiles & says) : of course im going to be there to help you.
Dahyun (*smiles & says) : thats good then.
Dahyun : i better get back to the dorm room to practice.
Hyunwoo : right. im going to stay here for a little while.
Dahyun (*puts her hand on his shoulders & says) : everything's going to be alright Hyunwoo.
Dahyun : whatever the decision you make, i'll be there to support you.
Hyunwoo (*looks at Dahyun & says with a smile) : thank you.

Dahyun let go of his shoulders and walked away. She went back to her dorm room to practice for her solo project.

For the rest of the days, Dahyun and Jooin took the time to practice for the talent show. They spent all day Monday May 16th rehearsing with the groups at the venue where they will be performing where there was a huge stage and lights with backgrounds.
