Lets Not Fall in love.

There a lot of awkward silences exchanged when I woke up a few hours later in Choi's apartment. I had refused to give him what he wanted.

"You didn't get pregnant last time." he had argued.

"That's because I had to handle it myself. Just restock and we'll have no problem." we exchanged looks between each other and I got ready for him to take me back home. I had told him that I was starting school in the next week, and he agreed that he would still make time for me. What I really was trying to figure out was how were we still together. ~~~~

The car ride home was pretty quiet. I didn't like talk when I was focusing. I was trying to make sure his hangover wasn't so bad.

I felt dread well up unexpectedly in my stomach as we pulled to the familiar bus stop.

"Amaryllis." Choi suddenly called from the side of the car. I turned to him with an eyebrow raised

"Did your dad die in a drinking accident?" I looked at my lap. My heart thudding in my chest, the question totally taking me off guard.

So I simply nodded.

"Oh, my princess." I felt his hand on my knee. He stroked all the way up to my thigh and rubbed circles into one spot. "I'm sorry." I let my head rest on the back of the seat and shrugged. "It happens. Right? You've seen and heard of tons of death."

Choi chuckled. "Yeah. It comes with the job. But you're a good person. And you deserve good things... Which is why I'm going to take you out this Friday. Just you and me. No... Work talk, no clubbing. We'll go out of town and have a nice dinner. I'll show you some great spots of you'll let me." I let him take my face in his hands and looked him in the eye.

"Okay." I smiled at him and let him kiss me. Regretfully so because he still tasted like alcohol.

"Then Friday. I'll see you Friday."
