Lets Not Fall in love.

I’ll wait here.’’ Choi told me. He was parked in our usual spot for meeting up. I told my mom that I was going to be with Juli. That she was sick and her sister was away right now. I said that her grandmother would be popping in every so often to check on us. I lied. And she believed me. When in reality, I was going to spend the night with Choi. I was going to doll myself up and go to a club, probably drink a little. Then back to his apartment. I nervously walked up to the front door and paused automatically when I heard muffled yelling. I opened the door to hear my brother, he was yelling at my mom.

‘’You don’t know. You left us there! It’s Karma, instant karma.’’ He was saying. I walked inside and stopped in the living room. Hansol was sitting at the table, My mother standing in front of him with her fists in tiny balls. Her eyes were glossed over… had she been drinking?
Juniper stood with his arms crossed and his hair up in a bun.

‘’Jun, all I wanted was for to help you. Where would you have gone, I’m your mother! That’s your only option!’’ Juniper sighed heavily and looked at the ground.

‘’I didn’t ask for this. Unfortunately, you are my mother, fortunately, you’re wrong, I have plenty of options now.’’
And with that. He sauntered upstairs, giving me an apologetic look as he brushed past. I rushed to my mom at once and hugged her. She hadn’t started crying yet. She wasn’t that big of a crier, or.. rather she wasn’t an emotional drunk. Hansol pulled us into a tight hug.

‘’I’ll talk to him.’’ I said nodding. I had to go upstairs to pack my own bag anyways. I froze when I saw Juniper getting a small bag together. ‘’W-where are you going?’’ I asked, a little confused at first. He looked up at me and laughed once, bitterly. ‘’I think you know.’’ He said lowly. I stopped in the middle of the doorway and frowned. ‘’Go apologize to her.’’ I said trying to be firm.
‘’Amy, you weren’t here for the whole conversation. You don’t know what happened. She’s been in a bad mood all day.’’ Well, I would be, too if my son was giving me the silent treatment for no reason.

‘’Aren’t you going to tell me?’’ He looked down at me. ‘’Move.’’
I didn’t. I stood my ground until he picked me up and placed me out. ‘’Juniper…’’ I called after him and grabbed my bag as the chase began.

‘’How do you know you’ll be safe with those people?’’ I called. He turned to me and sighed dramatically. ‘’Look, I’ll be back, okay? I just need to think. I just don’t want to be in the same house with her right now.’’
‘’Well then, what about me? We’ve never been away from each other for more than a few days.’’
My heart froze over and my stomach clenched like I was about to throw up when he said.

‘’Tough it out.’’

He’d never been so cold to me. I looked back towards the front door where my mom stood watching. She stood watching as Juniper kissed my forehead. And she stood watching as he hopped into the back of the silver pick up truck and she watched as it drove off. I had to turn back and apologize for leaving my mother. But I knew Hansol would take care of her while I was gone. I, after all, would be back after tonight. ~~

I didn’t notice that I had shed a few tears until I felt Choi’s fingers wipe away a few tears after I had gotten in the car. I looked at my lap, embarrassed. ‘’Sorry.’’ I muttered. Choi didn’t pull off driving. Instead. He unbuckled my seat belt and pulled me into him. He didn’t ask what happened. He didn’t say anything. He just held me for a little while before finally letting me go, one hand in mine. And we were like that for a while.~~~

‘’Does your brother know who I am?’’ Choi’s voice rang from his bathroom. I had been changing in his room and doing my make-up. It was the first thing he had really said to me since arriving here. ‘’Huh?’’ was my only response to that. I wasn’t expecting him to ask.
‘’Like, does he know you’re with me?’’ I shook my head. Then a pang of guilt flooded throughout me. I had never kept secrets from my brother before.

‘’Why do you ask?’’

Choi leaned out of the bathroom, shirt half unbuttoned and hair unstyled. ‘’because he’s hanging around with Monsta X. that’s why. ‘’ He answered and went back to styling his hair. ‘’I don’t think it was Shownu driving. They would have said something. And they don’t know I’m with you. Or else maybe… maybe my brother would have taken him with me.’’ I trailed off. Here I go, I was lying again. ‘’He never talks about it. He doesn’t even know I know who he hangs out with.’’ I wish that wasn’t a lie, technically. I didn’t bring up Hyungwon on Purpose.

‘’are you worried?’’ I asked him. I’d never seen him falter before, I know it had been that long, but everyone had their faults. I guess he was just really good at hiding them.

I got up from the floor and pushed my hair out of my face. I walked to the bathroom. Choi’s shirt was half unbuttoned. Showing a tone chest and… was that a happy trail?

I stared at him for a while because damn, he was beautiful. ‘’You’re done already, damn, always showing me up. I was good to invest in you.’’ I blushed a little and was staring at his chest. Hesitantly. I reached out to touch him. Out of surprise, he jumped a little bit and looked down to watch my hand. I was blushing even harder because I realized that he hadn’t kissed me at all today, not even when I first got into the car this morning.

I stood up on my tiptoes. ‘’I’ve got to finish getting ready.’’ He said with an amused smile. I used ‘My girl’ excuse as an advantage.

‘’TOP, Kiss?’’

I purred. Finally, he bent down to give in. I could smell his aftershave and taste the mint mouthwash on his tongue, I put both hands on the side of his face and kissed him deeper. I just… wanted this.

I let his tongue enter my mouth and swirl around for a while before gently catching it in-between my teeth and sucking on it. I felt the heat from my face descend to my neck as he gave a little moan. He let his hands rest on my waist and he pulled me closure. He was so tall. ‘’I can’t be late. I’m the owner.’’ he murmured against my lips. I tried not to look disappointed as he pulled away. He looked me over and winked. I so badly wanted to wrap my arms around his back. But I knew I had to wait now. I hated that I had to wait.
