Lets Not Fall in love.

It was a huge relief to know that Choi didn't bring me here to have sex with him. It was simply because you didn't want me at the club on this particular day for some reason. I decided to be best not to ask, then decided that he probably would not have given me an answer anyways.

I surveyed the downstairs of the apartment before the upstairs. It was almost like a house. It had a spiraling staircase in a bar. The color scheme was cream and and soft grey with a few blues here and there. Several art pieces hung on the walls, there's a very comfortable feeling to the place. My mouth parted as I stared in awe at a perfect replica of tiger in a tropical storm. I marveled at it for the longest time, time is running over the brush strokes over and over and settling on the color scheme.

"You know Henri Rousseau?" asked Choi behind me. He sounded rather impressed. So I shrugged, pretending to be unimpressed. "I know him. But it's not like it's the snake charmer or anything." Choi smiled and grabbed my hand. He pulled me along the corridors and passed the bar until he led me into a small hallway. He turn my body around to face the wall. And in between two silver and gold sailboats, there was, the snake charmer. My shoulders slumped with disappointment. Did he have to be so damn perfect?

" why do you seem so disappointed?" He question with a small chuckle. His hands leaving my shoulders and resting at my waist. I stir the meaning for the longest time before something came to me and I turned to him.

"Can I ask you a question?"

"You just did." I wanted so badly to roll my eyes at him. But I was serious and I was curious. And if I was, his girl, then I should be allowed to ask these kinds of questions right?

"What's the deal between your gang and Monsta X?" I asked. His eyes went a little wide in surprise when I finished asking my question. But my eyes would remain on his as I waited for an answer."

"Why do you want to know that for?" I thought about my brother and how he was now hanging out with Hyungwon. How he was now doing who knows what behind my mother's back with them. Going to their headquarters and hanging out with them. Worrying me to death. " I'm just curious about danger levels." I tried to say this calmly. Tried to act like I was just interested in activity. Like I was trying to get closer to him.

"Well." He began as he grabbed my hand that led me upstairs to his lounge. He Sat on the leather loveseat and pulled me to him. Then he looks down at me from underneath his long lashes as he began to speak again.

" they're all dangerous, we are just about the top of that food chain- No pun intended. But I told you, we run all of Gwangju. With the help of those lovely girls of course."

"They're a girl gang?" I blurted out not being able to hide my surprise. I guess I should have surprised me the way that Chae spoke to him. " do you often interrupt story time? Because if so we'll never get through this." I close my mouth automatically and shake my head as he continues. Mentally reminding myself not to blurred out or interrupted next time.

"We used to be a lot bigger. When my father was still alive. He ran Gwangju and some of Mokpo. Up until he died. Heart attack. His dying wish, after he left everything in my name, was to get my family out of here. So when I took over I relocated my mother and sister... And now nephew to the suburbs of Japan." he told me. I leaned further into him as I listened. His face looks really relaxed as he spoke. But I still felt like just a little stranger to him. Just a gangster's play things. But I push those thoughts aside as I listened.

He swallowed hard before turning to look at me full in the face. " I say they were almost the top of the food chain because I wouldn't dream of doing half the stuff they have done. Its a wonder they haven't gotten caught. They're nothing but rapists, liars, murderers and theives. I don't mean in a sense. I mean it's what they get off on. Now. Have I ever seen a man killed in front of me. Of course. But Jiho woo. That mother fucker practically bathes in blood. Now, if you ever come across him. And the man is hard to miss, I want you to call me that very second. Do you understand?" he held my chin between his thumb and forefinger. I hadn't realized it, but I had gone numb in fear. So I only nodded rapidly at his request.

"You're like a little bunny. Easy to scare. But don't worry. I'll never let anyone hurt you." and with that he kissed my forehead. Then my cheeks. Then my lips again.
