Please Don't Get Too Friendly

When I woke up the next morning, I could hear no movement whatsoever in the dorm, leading me to believe I was the first one awake. I looked around, suprised, and saw my roomate sleeping peacefully in the hed next to me. A tender smile crept up my lips as I watched her and I forced myself out of bed. Let's go make them breakfast, as a way to say sorry again. I slipped out of the room as quietly as I could and I shut the door softly, making almost no sound. I turned around, went down the stairs slowly and made my way to the kitchen.

"Are you going to make breakfast ?" a voice asked from my back.

I jolted and spun around, taken by surprise. A still sleepy Seung Hye was staring back at me, expressionless. My hand went over my heart and I sighed.

"I didn't hear you coming down. I'm sorry, did I wake you?"

"No, I was already awake. In fact, I've been up for... 3 hours now," she said, glancing over at the clock on the wall behind us.

"What? But it's just 8 o'clock, what were you doing, awake at 5?"

She sighed, scratched her head and went to sit down at the table.

"I couldn't sleep anymore. I didn't sleep much last night, actually. I remember still being awake at 1 AM, and then I think I woke up at around 4:50. But what are you doing, awake at 8? You're usually the last one to get up, and that's at like 10."

"Yeah, I know," I chuckled. "I honestly don't know either, but I couldn't seem to be able to sleep again. And I wanted to cook you all breakfast, so I got up although my bed kept trying to call me back. It was a hard decision," I shook my head negatively, earning me a slight chuckle from my member. Not wanting to disrupt the nice moment we were having, I didn't point out that it was the first time she had laughed sincerely at something I said.

We continued to chat for a while as I searched and cooked the eggs for the omelettes I wanted to make them. I could feel that the usual tension between us was gradually dissipating and I tried my best to keep it that way, as I knew full well that one wrong move from me was going to bring all of it back. When I was finished, it was only 8:45, and I didn't want to wake the sleeping others yet, so I put the food in the oven for the wait. As I talked with Seung Hye, a question kept going back and forth in my head, but I didn't dare to ask it. Somehow, my member felt it.

"Is there something you want to ask me?" she asked, catching me off-guard.

"Wh-What? How?" I stuttered, surprised and nervous.

"I can just see it, you know. It's apparent. You keep fiddling with your hands and your eyes are practically screaming of hesitation. Tell me, what is it?"

I gulped.

"Well, you know how you told me about my vision of people? That I only see black and white? And how the people that are nice actually want to stab me in the back, in contrary of the mean ones that want to express something else?"

She nodded and I saw that her lips were now forming a knowing, soft smile. I frowned slightly, wondering if she already knew what I was going to ask her. I hesitated in continuing, but when she urged me to go on, I did as she said.

"I was just wondering if... Maybe you knew... What Jung Ah unnie was up to? "

"Oh, so you're only asking this now? I thought you would have asked sooner. But then again, we didn't get to see each other when you discovered her real face." She stopped speaking for a moment, looking at me directly in the eyes. "You want to know, wether I knew or not, what she was up to, right? I'll tell you this simply: I didn't specifically know she was dangerous to you. I just thought that, maybe..."

"But why, and how on earth would you have thought that?" I asked, curious and bewildered.

"Why of course I did a background check on you. I'm not rich for nothing, although it seems you are more than me. But that's not the point. Anyways, when the checking was done, I got the information about your parents being trainees with her as well. I was curious about what had happened to them, and that way I discovered what she had done to them, and what the CEO did to punish her. But I was curious as to why she had chosen, and even asked, to be your manager personally. And that's when I realized she might have been planning something, so I slipped that advice to you, in hopes you would actually beware of the people next to you. Luckily, that same night you discovered her plans, so I take a little bit of credit for that."

How could you take credit for something you didn't even make happen? Anyways. She did a background check on me? I feel so awkward right now. I mean, she knows practically everything about me. Just before I could add anything else, Seo Hyun and Ji Yoon came down, still groggy from sleeping. I got up and heated the meal so it would be nicely warm for them to eat. I served them and we all ate together, as if everything was normal. Well, it was finally beginning to get closer to normality, slowly. We could still feel some emptiness when we glanced at the seat our previous manager always took, but no one mentioned it. That day, we all decided to go to the company to go talk to the CEO about our debut, as no information whatsoever was given to us. But we then realized we didn't have any car or bus stop near the dorm for us to use, so I hesitatingly gave a call to one the EXO members.

"Hi, Amy? What is it? Is everything okay?" answered at the second ringtone an obviously tired Chanyeol.

I felt my heart pinch a bit once I heard his urgent but sleepy voice.

"Yeah, I'm perfectly fine. Are you okay though? You sound tired."

"Oh, don't worry. I was just taking a nap. But why are you calling?"

"I... We wanted to go to the company to talk with the CEO but we realized we had no car to use, so I was wondering if we could maybe borrow your manager for the ride... If it's okay with him and your schedules, of course."

"Yeah, of course you can. I'll give him a call and call you back after. Okay? Just wait a bit."

He hung up and we waited for around 5 minutes before my phone rang again.

"Chanyeol? Yeah, is it fine? Okay, thank you so much! Bye!"

I told my members we had a lift and we went in the hallway to prepare ourselves so he wouldn't have to wait too long when he came. We went outside to see the van coming and we talked together as we waited. After exactly 18 minutes, the black familiar van came around the corner of the street and parked itself right in front of the dorm. We quickly walked towards it, locking the door behind us. I opened the door and froze right there.

"Hi there! Didn't think we'd just let you use our manager like that?" grinned a satisfied Baekhyun at the back.

"They all wanted to come, but as we would have been too many for the van, so only us came," continued Chanyeol while pointing to his two other Beagle Line members at the back.

We all went in, still under a slight shock, and I could see that my members didn't know how to act. Especially Seung Hye. Well, you did tell me not to talk to them at the beginning, but aren't you glad I did? I winked at her and she blushed violently as she sat next to Chen, Ji Yoon sitting next to Baekhyun and Seo Hyun sitting at the front. Once we arrived at the company, we directly went to the CEO's office and entered wihout caring to listen to the secretary. As we thought, the man was sitting at his desk, working on some papers. He looked up at us and smiled.

"Why, hello everyone! I suppose we are now so close that you can freely go in and out of my office? Very well, it doesn't matter. What gives me the pleasure of seeing you lot?"

I stepped forward, trying to act as much as possible as a responsible leader in front of my members and EXO.

"We wanted to know why our debut was postponed. Is it because of our lack of manager?"

He looked up at me strangely and frowned.

"What do you mean, your debut was postponed?"

I stared back at him blankly. The world stood still for a fraction of second before I blinked twice.

"Wasn't it?" is all I managed to say.

He shook his head and chuckled.

"Who exactly said so?"

I turned to my members, confused.

"It was Jung Ah unnnie, sir," explained Seo Hyun as she stepped forward. "She told us you had said..." her voice quieted down as she realized. "Oh."

"Yes, she lied to you. A lack of manager won't make your debut postponed. It's a much too important event for something as trivial as that. I have already found you another one anyway."

"Really? Who is it? When are they going to come?" I asked, curious.

"This time, it's a man. But it's okay, don't worry. I would trust him with my life.This time, it won't be someone who holds something against any of you."

We thanked him and made our way out, but before I could step out, Chanyeol grabbed my wrist and closed the door behind us, so we would be left alone with the CEO.

"Yes? Can I do something else for you?"

"Sir," Chanyeol began. He glanced at me quickly, and I immediately knew what he was going to say.

Oh God. He's doing it now? He didn't tell me about it. What are you doing, you stupid giant?

"I felt like I needed to tell you about Amy and I. We love each other and we want to date. Do we have your permission?"

An unexpected response was what he gave us. And the compromise was hard, but I'm glad we did it.

Hi! Another chapter because my hectic week is behind me and I have a free day today! I hope you liked this! I thought I would upload it last night, but I was so tired I cancelled and did it today. Oh and by the way, this story is going to end soon, in three or four chapters I think. Mostly because everything is going good (maybe) and because school is going to be the death of me. But you know, I already have another idea for a fanfic of Peter Pan, so I'm going to begin it probably during March Break if I'm luck enough. And oh my god guys!!!
