Love Me or Love Me Not

Hana opened her eyes to see Mark lying down beside her while holding her hand. She smiled and moved his hair out his eyes causing him to open his eyes and get up slowly.
“You should sleep more I bet you were here all night.” Hana said.
“I’m fine. How are you feeling? Are you in pain? Should I call the nurse? Do you need more pain meds?” Mark asked.
“Calm down with all the questions. I’m fine.” She chuckled.
“Are you sure? You’re not just saying that are you? You have been hiding a lot from me lately. Why did you not tell me he was sending you threatening messages?” Mark said irritated.
Hana flinched dreading this conversation. She looked down and at her hands. ”U-umm I-I didn’t want to worry you, and have you get hurt and involved in my mess.”
“Hana we are married your mess is my mess. If anyone tries to hurt you then it’s like they are hurting me too. We promised each other no secrets.”
“I know, but I just felt so guilty about all the trouble I caused. All this is my fault.” Tears ran down her cheek and she turned away and wiped them away.
Mark softened watching her tears and then sighed. “Hana look at me.”
She refused to look at him, so he grabbed her chin and held her face to look at him.
“Although you should have told me what was going on, this is not your fault. You didn’t know that Daehyun guy would go crazy after you left him. My only wish is that you would have trusted me to protect you. Hana promise me if anything ever goes wrong no matter how big or little, even if you think you can handle it or think it will hurt me please still talk to me okay?”
“Okay, I promise.” She mumbled.
Mark kissed her forehead and moved down to her lips, then he let her face go. “Good. I’m glad you promised. By the way, you know you can’t go to work for some weeks right?”
Hana pouted. “What will I do? I’ll be so bored in the house.” She groaned.
“You better rest. No hard work for you. I took some days off too so I can take care of you.”
“Really? Okay, but you better listen to my needs. I know how stubborn you can be.” She smirked.
Mark glared at her. “Don’t get too crazy, or don’t push it. I still have my limits you know.”
Hana giggled at him. “I’ll try not to be too difficult.” She smiled.
Doctor walked in smiling. “Hey, Hana I see you’re awake. How are you feeling?”
“I’m feeling pretty good Doctor. I just have a little bit pain where I had my surgery, but I’m okay besides that.”
“Good, that’s good to hear. I’ll just have the nurse bring you some pain meds so your chest won’t hurt too much. After today, when we do some tests, you’ll be free to go tomorrow.”
“Okay, sounds good Doctor. Thank You.”
The doctor nodded then left the room.
Hana smiled at Mark. “Tomorrow I can finally leave this place. I’m so glad. I’m sick of being here. It’s so boring, and I miss eating really good home cooked food.”
Mark chuckled at Hana. “Well, you better get used to staying in bed because even when we go home you’re going to rest and heal yourself. You have been through a lot.”
Hana pouted. “You have been through a lot too, and I’m fine I don’t need that much rest.”
“Nope, no arguments you are going to rest. No work or heavy labor for you. Just relax.” Mark said.
Hana sighed. “Fine, but you’ll stay with me right?”
“Of course, I’ll be taking care of you. I’ll be your home doctor.” Mark chuckled.
Hana smiled.
The nurse came in with the pain meds. Hana pouted. “The meds will make me sleepy. I don’t want to sleep yet I still want to be with you.”
“Don’t worry I’ll still be here when you wake up, and then tomorrow I’ll take you home.”
“You promise? You won’t leave me here alone right? Hana asked.
Mark kissed her forehead. “Nope I’ll be here and I’m pretty sure Jackson and the guys will want to see you tomorrow, so rest up you’ll need all the energy you can get to deal with them.” Mark laughed.
Hana grinned and took her meds, and slowly sleep started to come over her. She was so glad everything was okay again, and that she got to be with the person she loved most again. She was so glad she could hear him laugh. She was scared she would never hear it ever, but here he was right next to her right where she wanted him to be forever.
