But You Love Me

The next day I come through the school gates Yoongi is there waiting next to the doorway into the corridors. I see this before he’s able to realise i’m here. I haven’t though this through. How do I act with him now? Do I even like him? I decide to go ahead. I walk up to the doorway and try to get through without him noticing. Suddenly he side steps in front of me and I’m forced to look up. He smiles at me and says, “good morning~! Did you sleep well?” I sigh at him with a hopeless look on my face.
“I actually didn’t.”
He gasps at this and says worryingly, “why is that?”
“BECAUSE OF YOU!” I shout unexpectedly at him, making others in the corridor pause to look at me. I look around before looking back at Yoongi who is laughing at me. I frown a little before walking away swiftly. As I’m walking away I breath deeply calming my heart. He always makes me look like the idiot… at least this way I can be closer to him. Maybe I can even try getting forgiveness this way, if forgiveness is an option. I have so much I owe you Yoongi.

At lunch me and Hyemin are eating together. I take the time to ask her a few questions since, I trust her with almost all my secrets. “Hyemin-ah?”
“Oh?”
“Do you think Yoongi is really a bad person?”
She sets her lunch down before replying, “I think he was. He has changed these past few days. You’ve taught me forgiveness, right?”
I nod.
“Saeyong-ah!” I hear Seokjin’s voice from afar and I look in the direction it comes from to see him running happily towards us. Hyemin who’s had a crush on Seokjin ever since we entered this school, starts fixing her hair. I laugh at her and turn back to Seokjin who’s just arrived in front of us. “Seokjin-ah, how are you?”
“I’m good. Actually i’m great! My friend just got given four tickets to go to this new movie and I want to invite you guys. Hyemin and I exchange looks at each other of sheer joy (more Hyemin than me though). We leap up from our seats both saying in unison, “YES!” Seokjin smiles at our reaction and laughs a little as well. “So the movie is on…” I get distracted by Seokjin’s explaining by seeing someone over he shoulder in the distance, looking as if he’s eavesdropping. Of course. It’s only been an hour since I saw him last, he’s been so clingy today. Yoongi notices me and lets out a defeated sigh looking up at the sky. He walks up to us and instead of introducing himself into the conversation, he stands next to me with his hands in his pockets. A little close… he stands so our sides are touching each other and my heartbeat starts to escalate again. Seokjin stops explaining seeing Yoongi, looking him up at down seriously. Seokjin too stuffs his hands in his pockets, continuing to stare at Yoongi. Hyemin looks at me confused, and I look back annoyed. Yoongi becoming annoyed says, “what?!”
“Nothing… I was just leaving.” Seokjin says calmly back. “Hyemin-ah, you can explain to Saeyong what’s happening with the movie.” He touches Hyemin’s arm softly and I smile thinking of how happy she must be. Seeing her cheeks go pink confirms my thoughts and she stutters back to him, “Y-yeah…” With this, Seokjin left. I would have turned to fangirl with Hyemin if it weren’t for Yoongi being there. I turn to him with an annoyed look on my face. “You, have been following me ever since yesterday’s accident!”
He looks at me offended, “Accident?! You liked it, don’t lie!”
I immediately go red in the face and cross my arms defensively.
I look back to Hyemin to see her still holding her cheeks and smiling flirtatiously to herself. “Wanna go to the park after school?” I turn back when I hear him say this. My eyebrows furrow slightly worried about going with him again. Is he… tricking me? He can’t be, he’s been around me all day. Seeing my indecisiveness he lures me with, “I’ll buy you icecream~.” My eyes widen and I slowly reveal a smile on my face. I nod slowly at him. He smiles brightly as he hears my answer. Both of us stay silent letting the happiness sink in. This feeling I get with him, i’ve been sitting on it, thinking about what it might be. Friendship? Annoyance? Love? “I’ll, see you there.” He says bashfully, which is unlike him. I nod because that’s all I can do. I watch him walk away and realise what this feeling is. Love.
