The Roller Coaster That Is Life

Chapter 36: Coming To . . . . . . . . . .

G-Dragon's POV

"It's been two days, why hasn't she woken up," Jiyong asked the doctor. The doctor was looking at her charts.
"I'm not sure, but maybe the anesthetic we had her under might have effected her. I'll have to run some test, before I can say anything for sure." The doctor replied, turning around and whispering to the nurse in the room.
"Her vitals are fine. She just needs the rest, losing so much blood with a poison in her system takes its toll on the body. Her body needs the rest, but we'll check for everything." The doctor assured Jiyong.
"Hyung, you should go home and rest too. You've been here for two days straight." Seungri spoke up. Jiyong didn't look at him.
"He's right, you haven't eaten much either. When she wakes up and hears about it, she's going to be upset with us." Daesung added.
"I won't put it past her to start lecturing us," Youngbae added grinning.
"She hasn't woken up, has she? If you all are tried, LEAVE. I'm not going anywhere." Jiyong answered icily.
He didn't want to leave, he didn't want to eat, and he didn't want to go anywhere. The constant beeping of the machines was the only thing telling him she was alright. All he really wanted was to see her open her eyes and talk to him. He didn't care if she was yelling at him or lecturing him, as long as it was something that told him she was alive. He hadn't let her out of his site since they'd come into the room.
"Jiyong-ah, all of us have gone home. You haven't left her side since she's been here. At least lie down for a little bit, please." Youngbae was guiding him to the recliner in the corner of the room.
Jiyong gave in and sat down. The Alaskan husky nudging his ankle, and laid down next to Jiyong's feet.
"We brought Gaho too, he was getting anxious at home. With everyone coming and going so quickly it wasn't surprising." T.O.P answered. Gaho made his way to Jiyong and got comfortable on the other side of the husky.
Jiyong sat there wondering how long Nita was going to be out. He was beginning to lose his mind a little bit. He hoped everything was okay with her. The doctor had had the nurse take some of her blood and he hoped the test came back normal. As he watched Nita, his eyes began to droop close. Before he knew it, he was asleep.

Siwon's POV

Siwon really hadn't wanted to leave, but he couldn't ignore his schedule. His day had gone down the toilet. He wasn't able to focus during his photo shoots or practice with the guys. During recording, he missed his part enough times for the guys to tell him to leave. He had told G-Dragon to call him when she came to, but he still hadn't received a call. Which meant he either forgot or she hadn't yet woken up. And if she hadn't woken up yet, it would put her at the two day mark.
"She's been out for two day," he said to himself.
"She'll be fine, Siwon. Don't worry," Donghae's voice came from next to him. They were both headed to the hospital. The others had wanted to come with them, it had taken a lot of convincing before they let the two of them leave.
"I hope so." Siwon wasn't so sure. He knew he was panicking for nothing, but the things was. . . . .he loved her, and when he had seen G-Dragon running out of the theatre with Nita in his arms, lifeless. . . .his knees and ankles had given out. If Shindong and Donghae hadn't been standing next him, he would have fell to the ground.
"She's going to be fine. She's a lot stronger than you think. Plus she's the only woman to ever beat you with a purse." Donghae added. Siwon knew he was smiling, it was one of his more memorable moments with her, one memory he was never going to forget.
"We're here. I'll grab the clothes, you grab the flowers." Donghae was opening the door on his side as Siwon got out and opened the trunk. He pulled out the small duffle bag with her clothes in it and a dozen orange and white lilies. He and Donghae had grabbed whatever that thought she could wear from the clothes she had left at his apartment. He knew they would work better than the ones she had at her house. She had most of her single shouldered tops at his place. When she would come and visit, it would usually be right after her morning workouts and she would use his place to clean up and relax. He smiled to himself, she kept in touch with them whenever she had the chance. She always made time for the people she cared about.
He couldn't help but remember the time when he had gone to the states to get her things. She used to talk about missing her family all the time, but as she spent more time with everyone she didn't talk about her family as much. And now he was beginning to connect the dots. Some of the things made sense now. The cold comment from, who he guessed was one of her brothers, made sense now. Siwon could only imagine what living with them was like. Constantly being watched and wondering what was going to happen next, she must have been terrified. . . . .what if this wasn't an accident? He stopped in his tracks, what if what happened at the premiere wasn't an accident? He looked around the hospital, he hadn't realized they'd made it to the floor she was on. As he looked around he saw the guards by the elevators, there was another one walking around, and as they made their way to Nita's room, there was two standing outside her door. Going inside he counted two more inside by the door and Hulk was hiding himself in the shadows next to where Nita was lying.
He walked up to her bed and took out the dead flowers and replaced them with the white and orange lilies he had brought. Going to the window he opened the blinds, hoping that the light coming in would help her come back to them. But his gaze once again fell on Hulk, there was too much security here. Even with the members of Big Bang in the hospital, this couldn't just be about them. Siwon could feel it in his gut, something wasn't right. It sounded so much like a drama plot in his head, he didn't want to believe it, but maybe, this was her reality. Siwon sat down on the stool next to her bed and grabbed her hand, kissing the knuckles. Was she the target of one of her families enemies? Is that why she got hurt?
"Are you okay, sunbae? You're pale." Seungri asked getting up from his seat to check on him. The thought of losing her was what was scaring him, he could feel the blood draining from his body at just the thought. What if she had been hurt on the other side, mere inches would have made a difference in that case.
"Sunbaeium, you're shaking." Seungri was talking, Siwon could hear him, but he was occupied at the vivid images playing in his mind.
"Siwon. . . . .siwon!" Donghae's voice brought him off his death train.
"You look like you saw a ghost, here sit down and lay your head against the wall." Donghae guided him to a chair and tilted his head back against the wall, before he knew it, his eyes were closing and he fell asleep.

Nita's POV

What happened? Was the first thing that came to mind. Her mouth was dry, it felt like she hadn't had water in years. Her tongue was sticking to the roof of her mouth, and she tried to swallow some saliva. Her body felt stiff, as if she hadn't moved in years. She wanted to stretch, but something was telling her not to move her body just yet. She opened her eyes, everything was fuzzy, only seeing a big white blob in front of her. She blinked a couple of times, the white blob slowing clearing, she could make out what looked like some kind of strips. When her eyes came back into focus, she realized she was looking at a ceiling. Her ears picked up a constant beeping, where was she? She tried getting up, but immediately felt pain shoot through her shoulder.
"That's right……….. I had a blade…………... going through…………..ahhhuumm…………my shoulder." Even her voice sounded dry to her.
"Ahh, it hurts. . .. . . .." It really did, she laid back down. She was in the hospital, which meant someone had brought her here. She heard the room door slide open and a nurse walk towards her.
"You're awake. That's good. I'll let the doctor know." She walked back out of the room. Nita couldn't help but feel a bit annoyed, the least she could have done was ask her if she wanted to sit up or not.
No sooner the nurse left, did she come back with the doctor.
"Good evening, Miss Nita. How are you feeling?" He asked as he watched her. She tried to swallow, but was having trouble because her throat felt dry. She looked at the glass of water on the table, hoping the doctor would get what she was trying to say.
"Okay, but I could. . . . . .use some water. . . . . .and if I could get help sitting up. . . ." She tried to talk, but it wasn't working for her. The nurse adjusted the back of her bed, adjusting her body to a sitting up position, the she handed Nita the glass of water that was sitting on the side table next to the bed.
"How are you feeling?" The doctor asked again. She was still drinking the water, so just nodded her head till she was done drinking.
"Like I got ran over." She answered truthfully, because she felt exhausted.
"Well, your vitals are fine. Do you remember what happened?" The doctor looked at her with a hopeful expression on his face.
"I was stabbed in the shoulder. . . . . .and I must have passed out because of the blood lose. . . . .but I've never felt so weak before." She answered, once again it was the truth. Anytime she had ended up in the hospital she had never felt this weak before.
"You were stabbed," the doctor confirmed, Nita had to try really hard not to roll her eyes, "the knife that was used was laced with a venom. You've been unconscious for two days. We've added a morphine drip to your IV for the pain. The blade went through a lot of muscle and it's going to take some time to heal. Just hit the button there," the doctor pointed to a line connected to her IV, "and it will release it into your IV. Rest for now, I'll come back in this afternoon to check on you again. I wasn't sure if you had a reaction to the anesthetic or not, I was worried. But, now that you've woken up, I'll take my leave for the night."
Nita made to bow, but the doctor stopped her, "Don't bow, you're shoulder's still healing, if you put strain on it, the stiches will break." She nodded her head and both the doctor and nurse left the room.
She was still trying to get her bearings. The room was dark, except for the light filtering through the small window of the door and the street lights from the window. Her eyes were still adjusting to the dark as she looked around the room she was in. It was a big room, double the size of her bedroom at the house. The hospital bed she was on, was big enough to fit two more people comfortably. Her eyes had adjusted enough to make out figures sleeping around her. Some one was on a recliner in the corner. There were lumps sleeping on the couch next to the recliner, both in front of her bed. As she looked around she noticed three lumps lying on the floor covered in two blankets. There was someone on the other side of her bed, half way lying on the bed while the bottom half was probably sitting on some kind of chair. For the side profile it looked like TopCat. She could feel eyes on her and she tried to turn her head to see who was behind her.
"Relax, it's just me." Superman announced himself. She breathed a sigh of relief, for a second she thought she was in trouble.
"How long have they all been here." Nita asked. Not sure she really wanted to know.
"For the last two days. T.O.P, Daesung, Taeyang, Seungri and Donghae went back home to rest for a while before they all came back. GD hasn't left since you've come to the hospital, and Siwon had to be dragged out so he could make it to his jobs." He answered quietly, "You've worried all of them, you know. You should be ready to get an earful when they get up."
Nita laughed.
"What's so funny?" Superman asked surprise in his voice.
"I've never had someone worry about me like that before. Other than Bhai and Babs, it feels different. I'm so used to this, I really didn't think about how much I was putting them through, especially V. I'll have to apologize when their all up." She looked at the lumps of her friends sleeping in various painful positions, they had stayed with her for two days. She was sure they'd put everything she'd scheduled on hold for the last two days. She felt something wet on her face, checking to see what was wrong, she realized she was crying. Rather she was crying from the stinging pain in her shoulder or for the people who were sleeping around her she wasn't sure. She leaned against her bed and closed her eyes, hitting the button to slide her back into a laying position. Before she knew it, she was asleep again.

G-Dragon's POV

Jiyong opened his eyes, he had a restless sleep. His eyes were still adjusting to the dark when he noticed a figure pacing on the other side of the room. He looked at Nita lying on the bed, on her side. Had she moved in her sleep? She was sleeping on her hurt shoulder. He tossed the blanket on him to the side and got up.
"Why didn't you move her back on her back?" Jiyong asked Siwon who was pacing back and forth.
"I did," He answered, abruptly stopping his pacing to look at Nita, "she must have rolled over again."
"Again?" Jiyong asked, surprised at the fact that she was moving at all. This was a good sign, maybe she would wake up soon.
"Yea, when I got up, she was sleeping on her hurt shoulder," Siwon helped Jiyong move Nita on her back. She winced as they moved her. Jiyong smiled, she was going to wake up soon. If she was moving in her sleep and wincing, it meant she was feeling the pain, which meant she was alive.
"She's been doing that for the past two hours," Siwon said, "I've been setting her right every time, but I was thinking about something else."
Before Jiyong could say anything, Nita turned back to her side. Siwon once again started to lay her on her back.
"One second," Jiyong said, making his way around the other side of the bed, where T.O.P was sleeping. He lightly tapped him on his shoulder.
"T.O.P," he shuffled a little, "T.O.P," he mumbled, "T.O.P," Jiyong shook him with a little force.
"Huh," T.O.P woke up, rubbing the sleep from his eyes, but still not fully awake.
"Go sleep on the recliner, I'll sit here," Jiyong said, guiding him to the spot.
After covering T.O.P with the blanket he went back to the bed, getting on the bed and sliding close to Nita.
"What are you doing?" Siwon asked, trying to control the sound of his voice, so he didn't wake the others up.
"Relax, if we don't use some kind of barrier, she's going to keep sleeping on her hurt shoulder. I'll sleep on this side of her, you sleep on the other side of her. Once we move her to her side, she won't be able to keep moving. Plus, I think she's cold, she keep huddling into her pillow. We can keep her warm and stop her from sleeping on her hurt shoulder." Jiyong was relieved when Siwon slided in on the other side of her. The fact that she was cuddling into Jiyong was another plus, but she was pulling Siwon as she crawled closer to Jiyong. But at this point, Jiyong didn't care, he was here with her, and that was all that mattered.
