[1PM] Then they headed back to the restaurant where they saw William, Jason, and Ben working at the front. As soon as they walked into the restaurant, Ben came over to Ivy to hug her following Jason behind him. They stood there for a while before Ivy went upstairs to rest.

Ben (*asks Ivy) : your back.
Ivy : i am.
Jason (*asks Ivy) : how are you feeling ?
Ivy (*asks) : how did you know ?
William : we saw it in your face earlier when you left.
Ivy : Oh. im a little better now that i got some fresh air.
Ivy : Charlie just took me to the doctors so im better.
Ben : thats so nice of him.
Charlie : why thank you for the compliment Ben.
Ivy : i better get some rest before the shift starts later.

Ivy walked upstairs with Charlie following her from behind. Ben, Jason, and William stood there looking at them go upstairs and talked for a while.

Jason (*asks) : whats gotten into Charlie lately ?
Ben : yeah, he's being nice for some reason.
William : its Ivy, she's starting to change him.
Jason (*asks) : how so ?
William : by being nice to people and changing his attitude towards life.
William (*asks the guys) : cant you guys see that he got less mean to us ?
William : he stopped yelling at us as the day goes by.
Ben : i see it now. its a good thing right ? for him to change.
William : of course its a good thing.
William : anyways, lets get back to work and hope that Ivy is okay by today's shift.

The guys went back to work. Ivy was in her room sitting on her bed while Charlie was in the kitchen getting her medications ready. He brought it into her and she drank it. Ivy put the glass of water on the counter next to her bed side. Charlie was standing there next to her bed side looking at her and making sure that she drank her medicine.

Before he turned around to leave, Ivy held onto his hand (fingers) to tell him something. He was shocked by her action and looked at her again.

Ivy (*says as looking at his hand) : thank you for today Charlie.
Ivy : if it wasn't for you to stop me, i would've been in the ICU at the hospital.
Ivy : and for accepting me to come back to work for you.
Ivy (*says as looking up at Charlie) : so thank you.
Charlie : alright. get some rest. if your not okay later, don't come down for work.
Charlie : just text me and let me know. (*asks) okay ?
Ivy : okay.

Charlie went downstairs to continue on with his job in the kitchen while Ivy was upstairs resting. She took a two hour nap and woke up feeling better. The medicine was in her body when she was sleeping so she was sleeping normally like she used to.

At [3PM] Ivy woke up and her energy was back. So she went to the bathroom to change into her work uniform and came downstairs where the guys were sitting at the tables. She sat there to talk to them before the restaurant opened.

William (*says to Ivy) : your not suppose to be here. your sick Ivy.
Ivy : i feel a lot better after i took that medicine and slept for the last two hours.
Ivy : im fine now. i can work, dont worry.
Ivy : i'll be right back.

Ivy stood up and walked into the kitchen to let Charlie know that she is fine.

Ivy (*says to Charlie) : Hey.
Charlie (*asks Ivy as walking towards her) : how are you feeling ?
Ivy : a lot better.
Charlie (*notices that Ivy is dressed in her uniform & asks) : your working today ?
Ivy : i was wondering if i could get your permission on that.
Charlie : if you feel better then i cant see why not.
Ivy : i wanted to ask you something else too.
Charlie (*asks) : what is it ?

Ivy took out the painting that she had painted last night to give to him. Charlie took it and looked at it asking her.....

Charlie (*asks) : what is this ?
Ivy : the painting i painted last night that i got yelled at by you this morning.
Charlie (*asks) : what about it ?
Ivy : i wanted to get your permission to put it up on the bar counter.
Ivy : it wont get in the way, i promise.
Charlie : sure.

Charlie gave Ivy back the painting and Ivy says thank you. She walked back out to the bar counter to put the painting there and walked over to the guys to sit and talk to them.

Ivy (*asks) : so what are you guys talking about ?
William : we were saying how beautiful it is during the holidays here.
Ivy : i know. its so pretty. i love the snow so much.
Ivy : we dont have snow in Florida nor California, its tragic. (*giggles)

Ben and Jason giggles out loud.

Jason : we are very lucky to have snow here in New York City.
Ivy : you are lucky.
William : i remember every year.
William : me and Charlie would go to our Aunts house to celebrate Christmas.
William : there would be our sisters, nieces and nephews, cousins, grandparents there too.
William : its a tradition for us to cook dinner for each other.
Ivy : that sounds like fun.
Ben (*asks Ivy) : what do you do for Christmas ?
Ivy : every year, no matter where i am,
Ivy : i make sure to fly to LA to celebrate with my Granny Anne.
Ivy : i stay there until i have to work again, roughly around a week or two.
Ivy : we would have my Granny’s friends, cousins, aunt over.
Ivy : we all fly to LA through the holidays.
Ivy : each person in our family cooks a dish no matter how bad they are at cooking.
Ivy : then we would sing Christmas songs by the tree and open presents.
Ivy : we also watch Christmas movies while eating cookies with milk.
Ivy : i love it when i could fly back every year. it's my favorite time of the year.
William : it all sounds like fun. what do you cook or bring for dinner ?
Ivy : it changes every year. i cook depending on what i feel like cooking.
Ivy : sometimes, its spaghetti or cookies or raisin bread.
Ivy (*asks Ben) : what do you do for the holidays ?
Ben : i normally go home to New Jersey for the holidays and spend it with my family.
Ivy (*asks Jason) : what about you Jason ?
Jason : i stay here to help out at the church where i grew up.
Jason : i help with packing meals for families around the neighborhood.
Ivy : Oh, i see.
Ivy : i wish you guys could come home with me to LA to celebrate Christmas together.
Ben : we could. i can always cancel my plans back home.
Ivy (*asks) : what about your family ? i dont want you to do that to your family Ben.
Ivy : you only see them once a year.
Ben : i can see them on New years. i think it's time for a change.
Ivy (*asks) : really ?
Ben : yeah.
Jason : i couldn't skip out this year at the church and join you too.
Jason : if that's okay with you.
Ivy : i would love if you guys come.
Ivy : there is room for everyone and my Granny wouldn't mind.
Ivy : she loves the company.
Ivy (*asks William) : what about you Will ? can’t you join us with Charlie as well ?
William : i would love to but you would have to ask Charlie yourself.
William : we never missed Christmas family dinner.
Ivy : i’ll ask him.

Then Charlie came out of the kitchen seeing everyone talking at the table and asks them when coming over.

Charlie (*asks) : what's going on ?
Ivy : i have invited the guys to come to LA with me.
Charlie (*asks Ivy) : for what ?
Ivy : to celebrate Christmas this year with my family.
Charlie : what about their families ?
Ben : we are skipping out this year.
Ivy (*asks Charlie) : i was wondering if you wanted to join us this year ?
Charlie : i can't see why not. lets do it.
Ivy (*asks) : really ?
Charlie : yeah, sure.
Ivy : alright then.
William (*says to everyone in excitement) : it looks like we all are going to LA for the holidays !

Then Ivy got a call from Granny Anne on her cellphone and excused herself outside to talk to her on the phone.

Ivy (*asks) : Granny Anne ?
Granny Anne : my Ivy.
Ivy (*smiles & says) : its me Granny.
Ivy (*asks) : is there something wrong ?
Granny Anne : are you coming home for Christmas ?
Granny Anne : or have you forgotten about our tradition ?
Ivy : i haven't forgotten. i was going to call you about that.
Granny Anne : so are you coming home or what ?
Ivy : of course i am. you know i love Christmas and i wouldnt miss it for the world.
Granny Anne (*asks) : isnt that good to hear ?
Ivy (*asks) : is it okay if i bring four people with me ?
Granny Anne (*asks) : four ? that's more than you would bring. who are they ?
Ivy : their people i work with at the restaurant.
Ivy : two of them are waiters and the other two are my boss.
Granny Anne (*asks) : are they girls ?
Ivy : no technically.
Granny Anne (*asks shockingly) : their guys ?!?
Ivy : Granny, don't freak out now.
Ivy : they wanted to spend Christmas with me and my family.
Granny Anne : you know i cant say no to guests.
Ivy : thank you.
Granny Anne : just a quick question.
Ivy (*asks in suspicion) : what ?
Granny Anne (*jokes around & asks) : is one of them your boyfriend ?
Ivy : Granny Anne.
Granny Anne (*asks) : what ? i was just asking.
Ivy : one of them are NOT my boyfriend. i don't have a boyfriend.
Ivy : their my co-workers.
Granny Anne (*jokes around & says) : i'll believe it when i see it.
Granny Anne (*asks) : anyways, have you told them about our Christmas family tradition ?
Ivy : i have already told them but i'm not sure if they got the memo yet. (*giggles)
Granny Anne : well, you better mention it to them or else your in big trouble with me.
Granny Anne : i want my Christmas to be awesome.
Ivy : alright Grandma.
Ivy : Oh Grandma.
Granny Anne (*asks) : what is it now ?
Ivy (*asks) : is it okay if we all stay at the house too ? its just like old times, remember ?
Granny Anne : sure. i'll make room for you guys.
Ivy : thanks.
Granny Anne : its good to hear from you Ivy. i’ll see you guys here on Christmas week.
Ivy : Okay. we’ll see each other soon.
Granny Anne : contact me when you are at the airport.
Ivy : Alright.
Granny : i'll see you then. bye.
Ivy : bye.

Ivy and Granny Anne hung up the phone. Ivy went back inside the restaurant to clean up the tables before the place opened.

When [5PM] hits, customers were coming in and eating.
