Redemption

As soon as Chang Sun heard all the five doors closing he sat up again, swinging his legs over the bed before standing up. He new there was no use trying to sleep, he new he would never be able to close his eyes for a minute. He’s eyes landed on the box with the victim files in them, he might as well do some research, see if he missed something.


He started with the first victim, 38 year old Kim Ji Woo. Mother of two, married for ten years. Works as an attorney for five years. No criminal records. She seemed like the perfect citizens, nothing sticking out.
Next was Lee Su bin, 20 years old secretary at a law firm. Two speed tickets and possession of drugs. Lives alone, no family. She was quite the different caracter.
After that there was Kwon Min Jun, 41 years old worked at a call center for emergency calls. one kid, married for twenty years. No criminal record, another good citizens.
Victime number foure, 18 year old girl Kang Sun Ja still in school, law school, no criminal record. worked a part time job at a smal cafe.
Kim Il Tae, victime number five, 37 year’s old police officer, divorced father of three. no criminal record.
Next Gu Jun Ho 21 year old reporter specialist in crime reports, married one year, no kids. one speeding ticket, trespassing.
Number seven was Pae Ji eun 39 years old lawyer, married for five years, one child, no criminal record.
The last victim was a girl named Seong Min seo, a 19 year old IT technician at a court. no criminal record. No family.


That’s when Chang sun noticed it, the connection between the viktimes.
“So we got a Attorney, a secretary at a law firm, a emergency call guy, a law student, a police officer, a crime reporter, a lawyer and a IT technician at a court. why hadn't he seen it before. But there was something els also. If you looked at there ages there was a pattern. The first victim number 1,3,5 and 7 there a bit older, between the ages of 37 to 41. But victim number 2,4,6 and 8 was younger between the ages of 18 to 21. This was just a mess. usually a killer had a preferred type, usually victim would be around the same age and same gender. But this guy was all over the map, why did he kill, what was he’s motive for killing.
“You’re move.” Chang Sun closed his eyes concentrating on the two words.
What was the meaning with the words, who was it meant for? But the formulation ‘You’re move’, it sounded almost like a challenging.


He picked up the file with all the crime scene, but this time instead of concentrating on the victims he took a closer look at the text. ‘You’re move’.
‘Why would i do something like that? Why would i who just murdered someone take the time to write something like that? If i was to write it, who would i be thinking about? The police? The victims? Another person?’ Chang Sun thought about it as he looked closer at the bloody text.
‘This doesn't make sense..’ He sighed and put he’s head on the bed, closing his eyes for just a second and that’s when he noticed it.


“There different”
Chang Sun quickly shot up. There different, it’s not the same! He quickly picked up the photos of all the crimescens and put them beside each other in two rows.
the 1, 3, 5 and 7:th victims in the first row and the 2, 4, 6 and 8:th in the row below. It was definitely different. Now everything started to make sense, of course, how could he have missed this for so long, it’s obvious!
