Grim Reaper

Chapter Seven

~Hana~
After a few hours of talking and messing around, the boys went to their rooms, only Maru and Jungkook stayed, having brought in extra mattresses and putting them on both sides of my bed. They’d promised eomma that they’d watch over me at night in case I needed anything.
~Maru~
Bolting upright, I look around Hana’s dark room. A soft light filled the room from the window, the moon being full. Sighing, I’m about to lay back down when I see Hana move. Not to turn over, but to grip the blankets around her. Quietly getting up, I go over to sit on the side of her bed and her eyes slowly open, looking at me. Her eyes weren’t clear, but they were filled with pain. Her breathing was shallow and her hands clench the blankets on both sides of her. “What’s wrong?” I whisper and she just grabs my hand, crushing it. Her skin was feverish. “Jungkook, Jungkook!” I call and he immediately sits up, looking over at me. “Get the doctor, now!” He races out of the room and is back within a few minutes. The doctor pushes me aside, checking Hana over. “One of you, get me a wash cloth. Quickly!” Jungkook grabs one and she rolls it up, gagging Hana. “Get me something to tie her down.” She looks at us as we don’t move. “Now! Do you want her hurting herself?” We quickly run to our rooms, grabbing our belts and I hear a crash come from her room. We skid to a stop in the doorway and she looks like she’s fighting the doctor, her arms flailing and the lamp on the side table gets knocked to the floor. “Get over here!” The doctor orders and we watch her belt Hana’s wrists to the bed frame and her ankles too. Hana makes a sort of screaming sound through the gag, tears leaking from her eyes. She fights against the restraints, pained screams and groans echo throughout her room. “Boys, out.” The doctor orders and we’re kicked out to sit in the hall. “Why was she like that?” Jungkook wonders aloud and I shake my head. I didn’t know, but I sure did want to know.
I’m shaken awake and I stare up at the doctor before quickly getting to my feet, looking around for Jungkook. “I told him to go to his room. That’s all I can do for her right now, I’m going to go report to her parents. Please untie her.” I bow and walk past the doctor into Hana’s room. What I saw, broke my heart. Walking over to the bed, I carefully undo the belts and set them on her desk. She’d resisted enough for her wrists and ankles to be rubbed raw. Gently taking her chin, I open her mouth and take the gag out. Both corners of her mouth had bloodstains. About to go to give Jungkook his belts back, Hana grabs me and I look down at her, she was still sleeping. Sighing, I lay down on the bed, letting her hold onto me.
~Hana~
I’m pulled out of my nightmare by someone poking at me. Prying my eyes open, I look around and see BamBam standing at the end of my bed. Myung Ho was poking my back and the other two were standing next to him. “You guys are cute, but it’s breakfast time.” Yugyeom whispers. Confused, I look at him and he points to something in front of me. Looking, I’m met with a light gray shirt and a collar bone. My eyes widen and I look up at Maru, who’s fast asleep. My hands were holding onto the front of his shirt and his arms encircled me, our legs were tangled together and the blanket had fallen on the floor. “Help me.” I mouth and the boys shake their heads. Giving an exasperated sigh, I turn over and carefully try to scoot out of Maru’s arms and nearly yelp when they tighten, dragging me back against his chest, his head coming in to nestle between my neck and shoulder. “Help me!” I mouth and they all leave but BamBam, who tries to wake him up. “Maru, Maru! Get up!” I grind my teeth as I feel Maru’s hot breath on my neck. “Mm.” He moans and nearly squishes me. “Maru! I’m going to have to kick your ass out of that bed unless you let go of Hana!” Suddenly Maru lurches back and falls onto the floor. “Shit, I’m sorry. It’s a habit. I’m sorry.” “Hana, just put some pants on and we’ll walk you to breakfast. You don’t need to dress up, you’re still recovering from being kidnapped.” BamBam waves at me and I roll off of my bed, staggering to my closet. Grabbing shorts, I pull them on and slowly make my way over to the two boys. “Not going to work.” BamBam sweeps me up into his arms and starts walking. “Why can’t I walk?” I complain, knowing that if I did, I’d probably take forever. “Because I want food and if you take too long, I’m going to get the leftovers.” I roll my eyes and hang on.
I sit down in dad’s office, surrounded by the heads of the clans. “Tell us, what happened in that warehouse before you were rescued?” I explain to them what happened before saying, “The men, they were humans.” Knowing that they won’t believe it. “The man that beat me up, he was a police officer. A police officer with obvious anger problems. I know the faces of all the men in there, I just don’t know how to find them again.” The heads process what I’d just told them and I slowly get to my feet, walking around dad’s office. “You said something about a prophecy, did they tell you anything about it?” I shake my head, turning to them. “They treated me like an object, why would they tell me about something as important as that?” The head for the catcher clan calls attention. “I may have an idea, but some of you might not like it.” We look at him and dad tells him to continue. “I need Hana to go to a fortune teller.” I stare at him, how was that something that they wouldn’t like? “A demon fortune teller.” “No.” Dad says, turning away. “If we want to know about a demon prophecy and what it has to do with Hana, we need to go to a demon. I’ll have my heir go with her just in case.” Before dad can say anything, I put my hands on my hips. “If you try to keep me out of this, you’re going get a completely pissed of teenage girl that doesn’t care what you say and might get into even more trouble without your supervision.” He stares at me and I shrug, it already involved me, I wasn’t going to be forced to keep out of it. “Fine, go. But you have to take Myung Ho and Jungkook.” I shrug and make my way to my room, knowing that my body was healed fully. That intense pain that I’d had last night was my body’s way of healing me. It healed even the tiniest bruises. I only had to pretend that I was still hurt, in front of the adults. Mom and dad knew, but they thought it was better for me to keep my powers hidden until they found the right time to break the news. “Shouldn’t you be in pain?” Maru asks and I spin around, seeing him standing behind me. “Where’d you come from?” I ask, amazed that I hadn’t sensed him. “I was waiting for my clan head, but I figured they had more to talk about after you left. I was just walking back to my room. You didn’t answer my question, shouldn’t you be in pain?” “Uh, I, uh.” I can’t answer as Maru steps a little closer to me, I could smell his shampoo. “Not gonna answer me?” He raises an eyebrow and looks down at me with intense eyes. Quickly turning around, I start back to my room. “Why are you walking away?” Maru laughs, following me. Going to Myung Ho’s room, I open the door and see Myung Ho passed out on the couch. “Ya, Illeona!” I call and he falls to the floor before looking over at me. “We’re going to go somewhere, I’m going to get Jungkook, get dressed.” I go to Jungkook’s room and I slam my eyes shut as he comes out of the bathroom, a towel wrapped around his waist. “Ya, Hana! Can’t you knock?!” He shouts and I’m pulled out of the room, the door slamming. “Honestly, why don’t you ever knock?” Maru growls in my ear and I can’t seem to speak. “Where are you going, just the three of you?” He asks and the bedroom door opens and I feel Jungkook pry Maru’s hand off of my eyes. “What did you want?” “The heads want you, me and Myung Ho to go somewhere.” Right on que, Myung Ho appears next to us. “Let’s go then.” I shrug and start towards dad’s office again. “Can’t I come?” Maru calls after us and I say no. Getting to the office, I knock on the door and don’t wait for an answer, entering. “Where do we need to go?” Dad gives an exasperated sigh and the catcher head gives me a paper, telling me the instructions on how to interact with the demon fortune teller.

xD Yeah, it just kind of happened like that as I was writing. I'm one of those people that improvises while I write and doesn't plan anything out but how it's going to start... \(~.~)/
