Give Me A Smile

Haunted

Kang Taeyang
After two weeks of lying in bed, I was so glad that I could finally move around. Zelo looks at me with a disapproving stare as I run around the apartment happily. The front of door flies open and I quickly look to see Jongup and Daehyun standing in the doorway, looking tired from school. "Ya! Taeyang!" Zelo shouts as I trip on something and go flying towards the doorway. I collide with something and when I open my eyes, I realize that my hands are clenching a white uniform shirt and my lips were planted on something. Quickly sitting up, I stare down at a groaning Jongup, the spot where my lips had been, was prominent on his collarbone. I quickly move from his chest onto the floor and am helped up. "Didn't I tell you to be careful?" Zelo scolds me and I grin, my little adopted dongsaeng was adorable. Jongup sits up and Daehyun helps him stand up. "Mian, mian!" I say before bolting to Yongguk's room. Slamming the door behind me, I place my hand over my heart, feeling it beat wildly and my stomach tightening. Taking a few deep breathes, it still didn't fade, so I looked around the room, looking for anything to turn my attention to. My eyes latch onto a cardboard box in front of the the closet and go over to it, reading who it was for. It was for me, and it was dated to have arrived on my birthday. Curious, I rip the tape off and open it, before shrieking.
Moon Jongup
Zelo and Daehyun went to their rooms after Taeyang ran to her room, leaving me in the living room. Sighing, I register a small pain on the side of my neck and go to the bathroom to look in the mirror. I almost fall over when I see a small hickey mark that stood out like white among black. Grabbing a band-aid, I quickly cover it, going back out to the living room. I hear a shriek and bolt to Taeyang's room, standing in the doorway and I see her kneeling on the floor looking into a familiar looking cardboard box. Quickly going over to her I grab her shoulders and she buries her face in my neck, hugging me tightly. A smell suddenly invades my senses and I look into the box, to find a pretty real looking eyeball with maggots around it. Choking, I snatch a card from the side and close the box. Opening the card, I read it quietly, "Dear My Daughter, you think you're rid of me now that I'm dead? You thought wrong, you did so many things that displeased me, and I will have you remember them." Taeyang hugs me tighter and I sit down against the end of Yongguk's bed, allowing her to climb onto my lab and sob. After about an hour, she'd finally calmed down, falling asleep and Yongguk appears in the doorway, looking at me with confusion. "Throw that thing out." I whisper, motioning to the box and he quietly picks it up, looking into it before making a retching noise. He leaves, comes back and I allow him to read the card. "What the hell? Is everyone after her or what? What's up with this?" I shrug, leaning my head back onto the bed, not able to move because Taeyang was hugging my tightly while she was passed out. "Help me get onto the bed," I whisper and he nods, coming back with Youngjae and Himchan. They lift me up and drop me on the bed, much to Taeyang's moan. "What happened?" Himchan asks in worry and I motion to Yongguk before telling them to close the door behind them when they leave. They leave and sunlight shines in the window. Glancing down at Taeyang, I feel her start shaking and tears escape the corners of her eyes. She whimpers and I hug her, making comforting noises, which seems to calm her down. What scares her so much that she's like this?
