Fear

In books, love is always about the new and mysterious. The source of excitement. Something new, another beginning. They think that love is your heart beating fast, someone who can make you out of breath. But have you realized? That's also fear. Fear makes your heart race. Fear catches your breath. Fear provides excitement. And fear will hurt. It is dangerous.
Comfort is the opposite. It's familiar. It calms your heart, lets you relax. It means friends. And you can love a friend. I didn't know that. But oh, I learned. I definitely learned. I love my friend. I didn't know at first. I didn't know that comfort is love. That a racing heart is beating out of fear. And the moment I realized, I knew I would never go back. As soon as I learned, I made my choice. It was too late, of course. It always is. But at least that choice was made. I know I made the right decision. That exciting love, the feared one, made me pay for that choice. But at least now, I am free. Free to love. Free to be in comfort. FINALLY rid of FEAR
