Momo-Chan’s POV

We sat by a small café nearby the town. I looked amazed this was my only 2nd time out of the family house… their pretty conservative… I sipped my hot apple cider…

“Are you really okay with just cider?” Asked Jaesung Oppa sipping his Americano

“Yea… I really actually can’t drink coffee.” I laughed

“Not many people know about this café but they have the best carrot cake.” He smiled as a waitress brings over a slice for each of us…

“Oh! Oppa! It looks so yummy!” I smiled… I took a bite and it melted into my mouth, “I can’t believe how amazing this tastes!”

“It is isn’t it?” He smiled just watching me eat

“Aren’t you going to eat?” I laughed suddenly embarrassed by my actions and his stare

“Looking at you is even tastier than eating.” He smiled

“Haha…oppa…” I blushed and covered my face

“Okay, I’ll eat…” Jaesung Oppa says

I finally put my hand down and we eat the cake but Jaesung Oppa kept glancing over at me. It was peaceful as time slowly passed while we shopped. I like this… if it was Taehyun Oppa there would be no way we’d be able to have such a nice conversation like this.

“You seem to be down lately…” he said concern as we began to walk back

“It’s cause… of Taehyun Oppa… I don’t know why but… it’s been bothering me…” I replied

“Really? Then it must be nothing since you don’t know.” Jaesung said quickly

“No… I think there’s something because Taehyun Oppa is actually a really caring person.” I smiled talking about Taehyun

“What’s your relationship with him then?” Jaesung asked serious

“Well… “ I murmur

Well… from time to time he’s like a brother… but… at time…

“Well… just because of the prophecy…I’m here…” I said sadly

“It’s okay if you’re not sure…” Jaesung says, “But I hope you are aware of my feelings also…because for me it’s been you all along…”

“I… I’m not sure how to answer you either…” I replied

“It’s okay because you’re caught up in some pretty heavy stuff…” Jaesung suddenly says with a dark expression

“I know… but because of that… Taehyun Oppa seems to affect like my whole life everything.” I answer, “But I mean … he’s selfish and cocky but… just the other day… he” I caught myself getting so worked up talking about Taehyun Oppa…

“Sound like you two are pretty close still then” Jaesung says looking away

“I’m not!” I protested

I wonder if he misunderstood… but… am I the one who is misunderstanding… what am I talking about… I mean I’m hanging out with Jaesung Oppa talking about Taehyun Oppa…

“Well… it’s late… Let’s head back…” Jaesung says as we quickly head back

“I’m sorry… I seem to be talking too much…” I said

“No… not at all. Maybe next time I can take you out for dinner instead… tomorrow?” Jaesung asked as we entered the House

“Dinner? Tomorrow?” I asked again

“I mean… if you’d like…” He stutters

“Sure… I’d love to…” I smiled

“Okay… sounds good.” He smiled and walked away.

I walked back to the room and a smile snuck up on my face as I lay in bed thinking… is this a date???

The next day…

I got up early did my hair, borrow some makeup of the other ladies around… and then looked in the closet… I really didn’t have anything to wear since that fire… I looked some more… I saw a couple of dress that Taehyun Oppa had order for me since the fire… I pulled out a white lace maxi dress and a gold belt. I put on a pair of black sandals and check the mirror

“Are you going out or something?’ Taehyun Oppa asked opening the door

I was surprised… I looked at Taehyun Oppa. It had been a while since I last seen him since last night he didn’t go sleep… What should I say to him… I mean he’s been distance lately… and haven’t bother to care about me… I felt slightly mad so…

“I have a date with Jaesung Oppa…” I said slightly mad at Taehyun Oppa

Also I want to know how he’d feel… in a way… I kind of hope he stops me…

“Jaesung Hyung?” He said surprised

“He’s taking me to dinner in town nearby…” I replied

“*Hmph*….sound like it’s going well then…” Taehyun scoffed, “Whatever. You’re going to wind up disillusioned with love if you’re not careful… I told you before… Jaesung Hyung is different, he’s ambitious.” Taehyun Oppa suddenly leave slamming the door

Why is he such a jerk… I’ve never seen Jaesung Oppa ambitious or even less mean like Taehyun Oppa before… I pulled myself together and got ready to leave… but what Taehyun Oppa said about Jaesung Oppa rung in the back of my mind. Suddenly I turned I forgot my purse… I don’t want Jaesung Oppa to think I’m just trying to live off the Nam Family… I turn and looked… AHH I can’t find it!! I looked at the time OMG I got to hurry.

“Why are you still here…” Taehyun came back to the room again

“I can’t find my purse, I don’t want Jaesung to think I’m trying to just get a free meal…” I exclaim

“It’s fine that should matter… if he likes you… just go or you’ll be late.” Taehyun Oppa said

“Ugh… I guess you’re right… see you later…” I said and left

I ran to the front of the main entrance and Jaesung was waiting for me across the road… I am so late… I felt embarrassed but I ran over to him… but *BEEEP*A car drove quickly nearby… my legs felt weak and I couldn’t move… I’m going to get run over?! Taehyun Oppa!! Help!!!

Just then I felt someone pull my arms and I feel into their arms… Just in time… I then hear the sound of the car passing away and an angry driver yelling to watch where I’m walking… he saved me…

“Thanks Taehyun—oppa--“ I look up

“That was close…” Jaesung Oppa said holding me

I thought and was so sure that it was Taehyun Oppa who saved me again…

“Are you okay?” Jaesung oppa asked again

“Yes…” I said still daze

“Good… I don’t know what I would have done if anything happen.” Jaesung Oppa sighs

Even with Jaesung Oppa’s arms around me… I felt disappointed that it wasn’t Taehyun Oppa’s…

“Thank you…” I said and pushed his arms away, “I’m okay now…”

As I push him away I looked and Taehyun was standing in front of the main house and our eyes met…

“Taehyun Oppa?” I said

Why does he always have to come at the weirdest times… sometimes he’s like a ghost… popping up here and there… I step back from Jaesung Oppa as Taehyun Oppa walks over…

“…Don’t I have the worst timing?” he grinned slightly sad

He’s definitely misunderstanding this.

“Oppa… this isn’t what it looks like…” I tried to explain, “ A car almost ran me over and Jaesung Oppa was just pulling me out of the way… That’s all. Really!”

“It’s not like you have to explain every little thing you do.” Taehyun said

I don’t but I didn’t like the way Taehyun Oppa looked at me… I wanted him to understand…

“Anyway you were looking for this?” Taehyun Oppa said and handed me my purse

“You came all the way here to give me this?” I said as my hands reached out to take my purse… I felt touched

“It’s no big deal… I saw it lying around so I brought it…” Taehyun Oppa said and sighed

Happened to? No way, I tried to look for it so hard there’s no way that it was that easy to find… he must have been looking for it for me…

“Next time just try putting it away properly so you can find it…” Taehyun Oppa said not smiling

“I will…” I said and hugged my purse near my chest

Taehyun’s blunt attitude isn’t so bad… it’s nice… I felt my cheeks blush and looked at him in awe and happy. Just then I caught a glance of Jaesung oppa rolling his eyes… he must be ready for us to go… but… I wanted to see Taehyun Oppa still…

“Taehyun Oppa…I” I said but then

“Taehyun, can I talk with you for a second.” Jaesung Oppa said cutting me off and walking up to Taehyun Oppa, “I want to talk with you about something.”

“What do you want hyung?” Taehyun Oppa replied

Jaesung clears his throat and then clearly says, “Would you give me Momoka…?”

Taehyun Oppa looked surprise and slightly upset… but…

“Jaesung Oppa!?” I exclaimed surprised

“What are you talking about?! She’s…!!!” Taehyun Oppa said

“You know as well as I do that I can make her happier and with the prophecy we both know that it’s really just because the clan is scared you’ll pass away early like your father… but we both know different.” Jaesung interrupted

“Then… why? “ Taehyun Oppa asked

“I don’t think it’s right to steal her life and happiness away just because of that stupid incident.” Jaesung oppa said

“IT’s…something to we have to do for the sake of the Nam family.” Taehyun oppa shoots back

“You’re really okay with that?” Jaesung Oppa asks

“We are getting married for the heir but in return the Ariyasu Family is also paying back a debt owe to the Nam family from a long time ago!” Taehyun Oppa yells

I felt shock… I finally realize now… my family… no the Ariyasu sold me away to pay off a debt they owed… and the Nam family only wants an heir… It was slightly shocking but not as shocking as Taehyun Oppa just saying that rather then something else when Jaesung Oppa asked for him to give me away…

“Do you really think that she’ll be happy, forced to be with you?” Jaesung Oppa scoffed

Taehyun oppa looked surprise… and then became quiet…

“I’m in love with her.” Jaesung oppa says confidently

“What?” Taehyun Oppa said surprised

I looked at Taehyun oppa… I saw the surprise look then the pained look on his face…

“I’ll make her very happy, I’m sure you know as well.” Jaesung Oppa said to Taehyun Oppa

“Take it back…” Taehyun Oppa murmured

“It’s best for Momoka to be happy…” Jaesung Oppa continues

Happy…but… I really…Jaesung Oppa’s words echoed through my heart…

“What do you think Momoka?” Jaesung Oppa turned and asked me seriously, “Are you prepare to marry Taehyun… to bear an heir?”

“I-I…” I stutter surprised

To be honest,… I really don’t know still… I felt so lost and confused… but to honor our families we did agree and… Taehyun Oppa will say no, won’t he?

“If you want Momoka to be happy… step aside.” Jaesung Oppa says harshly to Taehyun Oppa, “I’ll truly make her happy…”

Taehyun Oppa’s expressionless in deep thought… after a couple of seconds…

“…Okay.” Taehyun Oppa replied

WHAT?!

“You mean you’ll give her up, right?” Jaesung Oppa said

“Yes.” Taehyun Oppa replied

“Taehyun, thank you for understanding.” Jaesung Oppa smiled

B-but…I-I…I couldn’t hide my surprise at the unexpected development… I thought that Taehyun Oppa would put the Nam and Ariyasu family first… somewhere inside me, I was expecting him to say no. Why? How can he just be so quick to make that decision??? Taehyun Oppa doesn’t look at me in the face as he turns to go back inside… but suddenly inside me…

“Taehyun Oppa! WAIT!” I blurted out and grabbed his wrist

I called out to him before thinking about what I was going to say…

“You kidnap me to Korea and tell me we’re getting married and now you just want it to all end like this?!” I exclaim, “You can’t do this!”

Taehyun Oppa stops but doesn’t look at me… he slowly turns and our eyes meet…

“Just let Jaesung hyung make you happy.” He says and shakes out my hand

Then Taehyun turned and walked toward the Mansion again

I felt sad and lonely as I watch his back walking away further from me…

“Taehyun Oppa…”

I’m so stupid… a tear fell from my cheek… I’m only realizing now…what’s important to be isn’t this life… I step forward about to chase after Taehyun Oppa when…

“Where do you think you’re going?” Jaesung Oppa asked grabbing my arm

Jaesung…Oppa…

“You shouldn’t go after him… “ Jaesung Oppa says with a attitude

“but…” I said softly

“You’re just confused and can’t make a sober decision right now…if you chase after him now it’s only because of passing emotions, you’ll be sure to regret it.” Jaesung oppa said

Jaesung Oppa wipes my tears and strokes my hair…

Is that really what it is?? I look up but Taehyun Oppa was already gone…
