The Difference between Salt and Sugar

Kris’s POV

I glance over at Xiumin as he started to nod off. His head bob down closer to the floor and suddenly, his head fell onto my lap, Xiumin was out cold sleeping. I was about to say something but… I lean in and notice his soft breathing. He was really cute when he wasn’t yelling. I lean over and notice how soft his jaw line. I quietly and slowly grabbed his hand… it was tiny in comparison to mine.

Xiumin mumble in his sleep. I let go of his hand my heart sank, I didn’t want to wake his but he turned his head facing my private area. I blush red. What…what…what... am I doing? What am I so nervous… It’s just a guy…. I mean… what’s wrong with me?

I lean in closer when *click* I turn and look Tao open the door and looked at us.

“THIS ISN’T WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE!!! WE ACCIDENTLY GOT LOCKED IN!!!” I exclaimed fluster by his sudden arrive.

Tao didn’t say anything he walked over and lifted up Xiumin from my lap, I got up and before I could think… I grab xiumin from Tao.

“I’ll take him, from here; it’s time to leave anyways.” I said to Tao

“It’s okay; I think he’d be more comfortable with me anyways.” Tao said back

“I’ll take him; after all it’s my job as a leader to take care of our members.” I said snatching away Xiumin and walking to our van to return to our dorm.

Tao followed behind closely… yet quietly. I don’t know why I just did that, but I didn’t for some reason want Tao to take Xiumin…

Min Joo’s POV

I knew that someone was holding me… I open my eyes and to my surprise it was KRIS?! His eyes widen as he noticed me.

“What are you doing?!” I said looking at him awake now

I tried to get down but Kris lost his grip and as we stumble together I grabbed his neck tightly as he pulled me and our lips touched. I blushed… it…. It…. It was my first kiss…!!!

Tao rushed behind me and pulled me up and away from him.

Kris looked bright red and shocked… I could think I scoffed and walked away out the door and into the van.

“Xiumin hyung!” Lay smiled

I did answer I sat down and turned away… my face was flush red… what’s wrong with me?! UGH!! I need to pull myself together.

Kris got in and sat right next to me.

“Why are you sitting here?” I turned and asked

“I can sit where ever I want.” Kris scoffed back

I still felt embarrassed to look at him. I open the other side door and stepped out.

“I’ll walk back.” I said

“But-I’m supposed to take...” the driver stutter as I glared and he shut up and drove off

I turn to walk when I notice… Kris and Tao, standing there on the other side as the van left. I ignored them and walked away. But Kris ran and walked next to me as Tao quietly but quickly followed behind.

“WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING?!” I yelled

“I’m walking along with you.” Kris smiled to annoy me further

I stuffed my hands in my pocket and walked away further as Kris ran up again next to me.

“About earlier…” Kris began

“You don’t have to say anything about earlier!” I exclaimed

“Okay… I won’t we’ll just pretend it didn’t happen then, okay?” Kris asked, I nodded in reply

We walked someway when suddenly…. *GROOOOOOWWLLL* I was really hungry.

Kris laughed, “HAHHAHA, SO YOU ARE HUMAN.” I ignored his comment and tried to look for money in my pockets. SHOOT! Everything was in my bag on the van. I sighed.

Suddenly Tao walked over and grabbed my hand; he pulled me as we crossed the street.

“What are you doing?!” I said surprised by his actions

“Where are you guy going?!” Kris yelled running after us.

Tao pulled me over and we sat down at a street vendors stall. Fish cakes, pig feet, the soupy aroma teased my nose.

“Tao…” I said tugging his shirt

“IT’s my treat hyung.” Tao smiled, a rarely seen smile at me making my heart flutter

BUT AS ALWAYS THIS isn’t a Korean drama… Kris hasty squeezes in-between us.

“Thanks for the food, Tao.” Kris smiled taking the fish cake from my hand.

“Seriously?!” I scoffed losing my temper

“What? I’m here too, you both just can’t ignore me like you’re on a date for something.” Kris said with a mouth full

I rolled my eyes. I really can’t believe the nerve of this guy sometimes.

“Here.” Tao said and handed me his fish cake skewers

“Thanks.” I said and took it and ate.

“Here. Have mine.” Kris said with a mouthful spitting some of his food on me

“YAAH!!” I yelled

“Oosp… sorry!” Kris said wiping and picking off some pieces

I grabbed his hand but I looked at him, my eyes went to his lips… I was about to punch him but… what’s wrong with my… I hesitated…

“Xiumin?” Tao said surprised by my actions

“I’ll let you off this time.” I said to Kris and continued to eat

After we ate and got home, it was late as we went to bed. I got up to use the bathroom while the other were sleeping… ughh… showering at 3 am was not idea but to keep my brother dream alive I will try my best. I took off the sweat and sat down on the shower stool and began to rinse myself when…

…the door opened and Kris walked in half awake, half asleep… OMG did I not lock the door!!!!!!

Kris’s eyes widen… I sprinted over and grabbed him closing the door and locking it and pushed his against the wall…

“Shhh!!!!!” I said to him…. To quiet him…. I don’t want the other to find out.

“Stop looking.” I snapped at him

Kris raised his head up looking away from my bare body. I have to figure something out…
