The Difference between Salt and Sugar

Min Joo’s POV

I walked out of the meeting… I wasn’t scared to live with a bunch of guys… I wasn’t afraid that I wouldn’t be able to keep up at this point my only concern was that I made sure no one knew I was a girl and that my brother debuts as a KPOP star.

The next day… dressed in my brother’s clothes and all packed up I left to the dorm that I would be living at until my brother wakes up again… which I hope is soon… so I can also tell him… I’m sorry…

I dragged along a luggage of my brother’s things and found the dorm they assigned us. I walked in, the others already arrived.

“Oh! You’re here! I’m Luhun… Xiumin right?” He smiled and greeted me

“Yea…” I replied and walked in, “Where’s my room…” I asked

“Everyone is sharing so… I’m with Luhun Hyung and Lay Hyung and you’re going to be with Kris Hyung and Tao.” Chen smiled and bowed greeting me as well as I bowed greeting him back.

I walked over, Kris and Tao were already in the room unpacking. The room was small had only enough space for us to sleep and our luggage to go in the corner. They unpack and Kris and Chen laid out their bedding on the right wall Kris set his bedding as Tao set his on the left…. Great….. I thought offhandedly … this is just great…. Tao didn’t smile but greeted me quietly.

I walked over and threw my bag against the wall where Tao and Kris also cornered their things. I unpack my brother’s bedding and laid them out neatly…. Xiumin Oppa… he and I were complete opposite… he looked alike exactly but we were so different… Oppa likes to be neat and clean… I really didn’t… He was also really friendly and nice… I didn’t like to socialize and I was pretty strict… beside Judo and Taekwondo, we really didn’t have anything in common… we were like oil and water…

“Yah… don’t just throw your SH*T around like that.” Kris said and looked at me

“Crazy b**tard, are you still made over that cola?” I laughed

“N-no! I-----“ He said as I threw him a cola from my pocket

“Sorry… It was my fault anyways since I really wasn’t paying attention that day… appease your anger with this.” I said causally and got up and walked out of the room

Kris’s POV

Xiumin threw me the soda… on it was a note… I looked at it…and read…

I smiled; he just acts tough I thought… It’s better this way anyways we’re a team after all.

That afternoon Mr. Park came by, he came with household item everything from a rice cooker to toilet paper, Mr. Park also filled our empty kitchen with ton of food, then we all gathered and sat in the living room.

“Tomorrow morning your schedules is fitness, dance, lunch, dance again, singing practice, coaching lesson.” Mr Park said, “GET SOME SLEEP TOMORROW THE REAL WORK BEGINS.”

“YES.” We all answered

After Mr. Park left… it was just the six of us… as the leader I should say something

“Since we’ll be working together let’s drop formalities, and designate household duties.” Lay smiled saying

“Good idea.” they said, every agreed

“No… I think that assigning household duties isn’t needed, since we’re a team, why don’t we all do it?” I smiled

“WOW! YEAH! That’s even better! THAT’S OUR LEADER! “ Luhun smiled

I looked over and Xiumin was dozing off.

“Xiumin… hyung…” Tao said and shook him as he stirred and woke up

“Please take part since we are going to be a team.” I said

“Uh…” he replied and nodded and leans back again

“Ahh… hyung…. “ Chen said and tugged my sleeves

“IT’S OKAY….” I smiled and grit my teeth

“Hyung, what about dinner, everyone is hungry, yes?” Luhun said brighten the atmosphere again

“Who knows how to cook?” I asked, everyone looked away

“Hyung, do you?” Lay asked me, I gave them a smile but they all looked uneasy…

Min Joo’s POV

Ugh… no one knows how to cook…. What a surprise… great…. I thought sarcastically… I got up and walked to the kitchen…

“Xiumin Hyung… you know how to cook?” Luhun smiled at me cutely, I nodded not smiling and put on a apron

I open the fridge, Mr Park already bought us enough side dishes, I walked over and made rice and set the setting. The rice cooker began to cook. I walked over took out about 2 pounds of chicken and washed them cleanly. I began to mix a season paste for the Dak-bokkeumtang I was cooking but I turned over shocked…. All the guys were leaning over watching me… *sigh*

As I cooked and walked back and forth they followed me around drooling and mouth opened wide…. It was really annoying but I just wanted to eat! Finally done, as I began to set the table quietly, they moved quickly to help me set the table. Finally we all sat down… I picked up my chopsticks and began to eat slowly… their heads and eyes followed my chopstick as I ate… I glared over….

“eat…” I said

“Thanks you!” Luhun smiled and ran over to give me a giant hug and then ran back to his seat.

“OMO! THIS IS REALLY GOOD!!!” Lay said and gave me a thumbs up

“Where did you learn to cook!” Chen said with a mouth full

“I learn at our families’ Dojang… Me and My bro---sister are orphans and inherited our families’ dojang and cook for ourselves and the members there.” I said plainly eating slowly

“WOW! COOL!” Luhun said with food in his mouth… rice began to fall out as he talked

“T-thank you….” Tao said quietly

I looked over at Kris wolfing down the food… really…. Every said thanks but him… I really hate people who don’t appreciate others’ hard work.

“No thank you?” I asked him

Suddenly everyone froze and stopped eating their eyes move slow and looked at Kris…

“Thank you…. It wasn’t too bad…” He said arrogantly

Ugh… what a jerk… whatever…

After eating, I took off the apron and walked to the bedroom to sleep, I laid back in the middle. Closed my eyes… Zzzzzz…….zzzzzzzzzz……….

Kris’s POV

I peaked in, man he fall asleep fast…

“Who’s going to clean?” Chen asked

“We can’t make Xiumin Hyung clean he cooked us food!” Luhun said and shook his whole body in aegyo

“Rock, paper, scissors?” I smiled

In the end I should have never said that… because I ended up losing as the other went off to bed. I turned and looked the kitchen was a mess and dishes piled up. *SIGH*

Tao’s POV

I went to bed and lied down next to Xiumin Hyung… I looked at him… and lean forward… something felt off…
