Broken Hearts and Crystal Tears

Baekhyun, Chanyeol, Chen, D.O, Kai, Kris, Lay, Luhan, Suho, Sehun, Tao, and Xiumin (otherwise known as Exo) slid into their seats at exactly 7 am sharp. Their manager hyung had told them to arrive at a meeting for something important.

The door opened as their manager walked inside. "Good morning. As the twelve of you know, I have some important news for you. There are a few girls who the company has been interested to form a girl group, and we would like you guys to help us pick 5 of the girls tonight to form the new group. I hope you will use your best judgement based on your personal experience."

The twelve boys immediately woke up from their drowsy state and started talking at once. "How many girls can we choose from?" "Do we have to look at their auditions?" "How old are they?"

The manager cleared his throat. "Settle down. There are 10 girls we have been considering and they are between 16-22 years old. They will perform their own routine/song that they have been practicing for months now, and you will be the main judges.”

Exo whooped with excitement and went off to practice, all of them anticipating for tonight.

~13 hours later~
Finally, the moment has come. 8:00 sharp, Exo met in the audition room, bustled with excitement they couldn’t contain. A timid head poked in from outside, and Exo’s manager signaled for the girl to come in. The girl was one of the prettiest girls Exo had ever seen, and had beautiful eyes and a sweet smile.

“H-h-i.” The girl stuttered a little and stared around the room, realizing THE Exo was RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER! Exo smiled at her little mistake and Kim Sung Chan immediately blushed.

Otherwise known as Summer, Sung Chan straightened up, wanting to make the best impression, and introduced herself in a clearer voice. “Hi! My name is Kim Sung Chan, and my friends like to call me Summer.” Exo nodded in one, and smiled at her to continue. “Today I will be singing and dancing to Growl by, of course, Exo.”

Exo wasn’t expecting much, as Growl was a very hard song to master with it’s fast raps and impressive moves. But as Summer started singing, every person in the room stared with their eyes wide open at the girl’s skills in singing and dancing. During Chanyeol’s rap part, Summer mastered the moves so well that Baekhyun started snickering at Lay, Kai, and Sehun as all three of them could probably never dance as well as Summer could.

At the end, Summer bowed, out of breath, and walked to the edge of the stage to wait for everyone else to finish auditioning. But as she turned around, she was confronted with 12 members screaming in amazement. Her jaw dropped to the ground, as she could never even dream something so wonderful.

~flashback~
Summer had loved Exo since they first debuted. Everyday, she would listen to each and every one of Exo’s songs and practice all their dances until she knew them like the back of her hand. She had every single one of Exo’s albums, and looked through pictures of them everyday. Her only wish in life was to meet them in person.

~end of flashback~
Summer would have fainted on the floor from excitement if Exo hadn’t raised her on their shoulders and paraded across the room. The manager hyung shouted in his voice that Summer immediately recognized from the multiple videos of Exo she had watched. “CALM DOWN! GIVE HER SOME ROOM! We still have 9 other auditions to watch before you can choose.”

Exo laughed a little, wondering how anyone could dance and sing as well as Summer.

But they were wrong.
