The Werewolves of Miller's Hollow

Iris POV

Getting into the truck with Hojoon oppa and Yano gave me a weird feeling. Normally the two are really talkative, especially around me, but this morning they are dead silent.

Once we were all in the truck, Hojoon oppa pulled out of the driveway and headed to the highway. We drove in silence, with nothing but the sounds of the tires on the road to listen to. Hojoon oppa didn’t even turn on the radio.

Looking out the window, I remembered driving down this highway the first time. I was in the back of my parent's car. They were driving to the warehouse where they kept me. Driving down this road now made me feel anxious. I never wanted to go back to that warehouse.

When we were about halfway to the warehouse, Hojoon oppa slowed down and turned off the highway and onto a little dirt road.

“Oppa, where are we going?” I asked, breaking the silence. Those were the first words spoken since we left.

“We are going to get rid of your problems.” Was all Hojoon oppa said.

I looked back at Yano. He gave me a weak smile before turning to look out the window. We drove down the road for about 20 minutes before there was any change in scenery. Hojoon oppa slowed the truck down as we entered a small clearing. It was just big enough for the truck to fit in. Hojoon oppa and Yano got out of the truck. Hojoon oppa started walking down the road. Yano came around and opened the door for me.

“Why are we walking? Why don’t we just take the truck?” I asked him.

“We need to be stealthy. The truck would give away our position.” Yano answered and walked after Hojoon oppa.

After walking for about an hour, another clearing came into view. This one was larger and had a small shed on one side. Hojoon oppa started walking to the shed when he suddenly stopped.

“Hojoon hyung, you made it.” Youngmin oppa said as he stepped out of the shed.

“Yeah. Is everything ready?” Hojoon oppa asked him.

“Yup. The rest of the guys are hiding around the clearing and her parents are on their way.” Kwangmin oppa replied, stepping out from behind his brother.

“What do you mean my parents are on the way? Why are you here? Why are we here?” I asked. “Where is here?”

“I told you already. We are going to get rid of your problems.” Hojoon oppa said.

“Don't worry noona. Everything will be fine. You just need to sit in the shed with us while Youngmin hyung and his friends deal with your parents.” Yano explained in a gentle tone.

Yano lead me to the shack and we sat down in a corner. Hojoon oppa came in a few moments later with Youngmin oppa behind him.

“Just wait here Iris. I will deal with everything else, you just stay hidden.” That was all Youngmin oppa said before disappearing out the shack.
