*Flashback - one year ago*

Hojoon P.O.V.

I had just returned from playing basketball with Iris. We had a great time. I haven’t had this much fun in a long time. When I walked into the practice room, Manager Hyung was looking at me with a disappointed look.

“Hojoon” he said with a concerned voice. “What did you do with Iris today?”

I hesitated before answering, I knew something wasn’t right. Manager Hyung never asks what we do “not much, we played GTA V then went to the courts to play basketball. Why, is something wrong?”

“Hyung, you should probably come look at this.” B-Joo said while passing his phone to me.

I took it and immediately noticed a picture of Iris and I playing basketball. The article’s title was ‘Topp Dogg’s Hojoon Basketball Date’. The article talked about speculations on how long we had been dating and about how close we were.

“No, this can't be right, we made sure that no one was there. How did they get this picture? Who took it?” I managed to sputter out. “We aren’t even dating.”

“That’s not important right now. Think about the reaction our fans will have to this. They won’t be very happy.” Seogoong hyung pointed out.

“He’s right hyung. What do fans usually do after hearing this sort of news?” Sangdo asked even though we all knew the answer.

“They will either accept it and show support or go after Iris. You can clearly see the building’s address in the picture, so it will be easy for them to find her.” Kidoh noted.

“I wouldn’t be surprised to see sasaengs camped out in front of the building right now.” Gohn hyung said as he sighed

“But we are just friends. Won't they believe me if I told them or we released an official statement?” I asked even though I knew it wouldn't work.

“Hojoon hyung, you know they won’t. It could make it worse. People would most likely see it as our company trying to cover it up.” B-Joo cautioned.

“Can’t we at least try” I half pleaded.

“We can deal with our end later, but what about Iris? She lives alone and probably won't know how to deal with the sasaengs." Hansol stated worriedly.

I froze for a moment. I had forgotten about what could happen to Iris. I was too focused on the article. She doesn't know how scary sasaengs can be or how far they are able to go. Without anymore thought I grabbed my phone and ran to the door, but Yano blocked the door before I got there.

“Hyung, I know you are worried about her, we all are. But you can’t go now. There will be reporters there and if they see you it will get worse.” Yano begged in a soft voice as he tried to comfort me and calm me down.

“Yano’s right Hojoon. If you go now, the reporters will have more proof of the relationship they think you have.” P-Goon hyung stated.

“Please, just wait hyung” Yano requested. “We don’t want to make it any worse for her.”

“He’s right hyung. Just wait. We will try to go see her tomorrow.” Nakta proposed.

“Don’t worry too much Hojoon, Iris will be fine. She is the strongest girl I have ever met.” Jenissi hyung reassured me.

But his reassurance didn’t help. Iris might be strong, but she is still a girl living by herself. She wouldn’t be able to hold off more than two sasaengs by herself.
