One Shot to Success (B.A.P)
Chapter 1
~Present day~
***JiHae's P.O.V***
“Mom! Dad! Please! I’m begging you! Please let me audition! This is my dream we’re talking about!”
I don’t know how many times I have asked my parents to let me become a musical artist since I lost count, but I’ll tell you this: I will never give up my dream.
“JiHae! How many years has it been since you’ve lost your mind and polluted your brain and our lives with that nonsense? Seven? What don’t you understand? No is no and it shall forever remain NO!” my father screamed back at me for the millionth time this month.
Since I plan on making my parents give in sooner or later, I have already prepared my entrance sheet and my performance.
“Dad, I promise that I will follow any and every of your conditions to the word and that I will not bother you again if you just accept,” I said, almost drained of all my remaining energy from soccer practice today.
“EVERY condition? So, as long as we accept, you mean you will follow any and every single rule we give you?” said my mom, suddenly interested in the offer I was making. Yes!
“Yes, every single rule,” I respond, my head up high in order to look confident, even though my mother has some sort of mischievous aura emanating from her.
“Very well. Here are the rules. 1) You will obey our every command. 2) You will have only one chance in succeeding. If you fail the audition, you will go back to studying, if you don’t debut, you will go back to studying, etc. 3) You will audition for the next available audition. 4)...” My parents suddenly make eye contact with me, and I swear I could see an evil gleam somewhere in them. “...you have to present yourself as a boy.”
WHAT?! No! I can’t audition as a boy! They’ll realise I’m a girl immediately with my beautiful long hair and my nice curves. And when they’ll find out, who knows what they’ll do to me. I look nothing like a boy!
Liar!
Fine. Ok, in fact, I lied. I’m a tomboy and proud of it. I somehow have those facial features that look good no matter the gender I am presented as. In fact, I have short hair, a boyish clothing style, muscular arms and legs thanks to all the sports I play and all the dancing I do (and when I say muscular, I mean muscular for a GIRL! I don’t have those muscle men-muscles), slight abs (which I have to admit, look really nice. Even for a boy, they’d be nice), and a high voice range thanks to all the vocals I do. Okay, now that I mentioned all that, I guess I could easily pass for a boy in the street. On top of that, I have those features that look very feminine if I decide to pass as a girl, and that look masculine if I decide to pass for a boy. There are even a few girls that I have met that fangirled over me and tried to FLIRT with me before I told them I was a girl. Sadly, I prefer hanging out with boys over girls, even though I have very few girl friends in my life, and that adds to my more masculine behavior.
But don’t you think one second that I would like to be a boy, even though I have to admit they have it easier than us women, because I still have my womanly pride to keep. In fact, I LOVE being a girl, I just don’t like to look like one and behave like one.
Getting back to the point, I don’t know what happened, but I think my will to become an idol just took control of my mouth.
“Fine. Now sign all my stupid papers so we can get this over with.” Great. Just great. Just because I told them I’d do anything to audition, they give me one of the most horrible things to do in the world.
Happy that I finally convinced Mom and Dad to allow my entry in the show biz, I skip back to my room. I log on my computer and see that my brother is online.

jiji771 says: 1) I must absolutely obey their every order. 2) I have only one chance in this, so if I fail anything, I’m back to studying in medical school. (yes, my parents want me to be a doctor and bring back money… Really?) 3) I have to audition in the next audition available. 4) I have to be a boy ‘till the end.
minseokkie says: WHAT WAS THAT LAST ONE?! WHY’D YOU ACCEPT THAT LAST ONE! IT’S COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS!! When I get back from Canada, I swear I’ll flick your head until your brain’s back in place!

That is one of our usual brother-sister conversations. Okay, now, let’s see what company is holding the next audition. I type “Korea music audition dates” in the search browser and I scroll down the page until the page I want appears. It says the next audition is for next week on Saturday. Perfect! I have nothing on Saturdays. Now, what company is this for again? Huh?

I usually keep plugging on this method of chapter installments, then when it's all done, I then go back and rewrite it and post it to another site. And vice versa. Like a rough draft & final draft. But do what your heart tells you to.
