One Shot to Success (B.A.P)
Prologue
~10 years earlier~
"Mama! Papa! In the future, I wanna be an idol and sing and dance on the stage! Lots of people will come from around the world to see me perform! Please! Can I audition for a company? MinSeok said I have potential," said a little JiHae to her parents, smiling brightly to her older brother in the corner of the room.
JiHae and MinSeok were studying while listening to the music playing on the radio when a very catchy tune she has always loved started playing. JiHae interrupted her studies and stood in the middle of her room. As soon as the singer started singing, so did JiHae. Not only did she sing very well, but she danced and rapped as if it were her own song. Proud of his younger sister, MinSeok praised her and told her she should consider becoming an idol in the future.
"In no way will I have given birth to you if all you would do with your life is squeal like a retard and prance around like a pony on a stage to humiliate yourself. Female idols have always been and will always be a bad influence. Why would you want that kind of future for yourself, JiHae? Have we done something wrong and you're trying to punish us? Aish! MinSeok! How can you give your stupid sister such terrible advice! Don't you see that female idols sound like they are dying mice when they sing and that they look like constipated 5-footed hippos when they dance? And don't even get me started on the rapping!"
JiHae, not understanding much of the conversation at the moment, asked "So... Is that a yes?" Her eyes were gleaming with so much hope that it hurt her brother, who knew the answer.
"No. Now go to your room and finish the worksheet we gave you. And then come back so we can see what stupidity you wrote this time," both parents spat at her as they both walked out of the room.
JiHae, who had finally found something she loved, ran at full speed to her brother with tears in her eyes. She was squeezing him hard because she didn't want her brother to leave her alone. MinSeok was as sad as JiHae because he loved her so much, but having the strict parents they had, it was hard to ever live their life in peace for once. In fact, Mr and Mrs Kang were teaching both of their children to become doctors in the future because it was a job that paid well and, after all, the couple have always been gold-diggers.
Unwilling to abandon her new-found dream, JiHae vowed to get her parents permission, no matter what it would lead her to.

This is what happened 10 years ago from now when JiHae was 7. Forgive me for it being so short but I don't really think you need to know anything else for now about her past. Oh, and for those who are confused, MinSeok is NOT Xiumin from EXO. I actually got inspired by the name of my Korean friend and her brother. Her name is actually JiHae and she has a brother named MinSeok, but he's younger than her, unlike the two siblings from my story. Anyway, thanks for bearing with me for now!! I usually keep plugging on this method of chapter installments, then when it's all done, I then go back and rewrite it and post it to another site. And vice versa. Like a rough draft & final draft. But do what your heart tells you to.
