Unhealthy Secrets

~Miyong P.O.V ~
I sat akward silently across from N at the coffee shop table.
"So..... I think its probably for the best if we dont even become friends." I told him looking down at my drink.
"Why won't you give me a chance? Do you have some kind of terrible secret you can't tell anyone? Its ok I'm a very understanding person and might even be able to relate." He said looking at me but I still didn't look up.
"Please I just don't need anyone getting closer to me." I said and then took a sip of my coffee.
All of the sudden N reached across and grabbed my chin making me look at him in the eyes. Then he lean in and lightly kissed, not to mistaken for a peck. I blink a couple times trying to process what was going on.
"Sorry. You had foam on your lip and I just couldn't resist, I know how cheesey right?" he said but I still sat frozen and touched my lips.
I imagened my first kiss many times and in different ways but I just assumed I would never have one.
"That was also my confession that I like you but you don't have to answer now just take as much time as you need." He said.
"You shouldn't like me ok! Its better if you just hate me! Please just leave me alone!" I said and got up.
"Hey!" He said and grabbed my arm before I could walk off.
"Can't you see I dont even want to be friends with you?" I said trying not to cry.
"Ahhh!" He cried.
"What is it?" I asked concerned.
"Your arm burnt my hand!" He said showing me his now blood red hand.
"How...." I asked.
"Can we talk in private?" He asked.
"What do you mean? Do you actually believe I burnt your hand? If so that's impossible." I said.
"Nothings impossible to me." He said very serious.

"The woman four blocks down is thinking about how the girl in front of her has ugly pants and the woman in the pants is thinking about if she wants to eat ramen or salad." N said and i didnt know what to say.
Everything he said was true and that means he can read minds.
"So... so.... can you read my mind?" I asked.
"Nope because you also have a power, I heard it was telekinesis am I right?"
"yeah. Can you do anything else?"
"No, can you?"
"No." I lied.
"What about that burning inccedent?"
"I have no idea how that happened, I'm sorry."
"Well its ok, I'm also immortal or at least aging slower than normal." He said.
"What do you mean?"
"Its been about fourteen years since the accident that gave me powers." He said.
"Accident? And you just developed powers after an accident?"
"Yeah did you not?"
"Well ive had them ever since I can remember."
"So can we be friends now?"
I was going to say yes because finding this out made me feel so happy but then I got a text reminding me why I can't.

From mom,
Hey I almost forgot to tell you I made you a doctors appoinment today and its in an hour, sorry for the short notice.
Love you sweety, see you at home.

"No" I told N without looking up from my phone.
"Why not?" He said dissapointed.
"Because I cant always there for you." And with that I left walking to the hospital.
