Chapter Five

"There's not much you'll be able to do."
Choyin jumped at Sehun's voice, not expecting it. It'd been quiet since her little outburst on the couch, something she was both thankful for, but hated. "What do you mean?"
Sehun chuckled. "When we're packing. The doctor wants your foot above your waist, unless you're walking."
Choyin blushed. She certainly hadn't been following that rule well. Now, however, she had her foot propped on a chair. "So ar eyou going to ask a manager to help?" she murmured, taking a drink.
He shook his head. "Suho, Lay, and Kai offered, since they don't have schedules today. While we're moving everything, you'll be lying in bed at home and hopefully getting more sleep." He gave her a hard look, and she opted not to argue on that one.
Scrunching her nose, she muttered, "That's boring - and what if a fan manages to get in the house while you're out?" She shivered; the fans at the hospital had been furious when she'd almost fallen and Sehun had caught her. She couldn't imagine what would happen if one actually figured out a way to get into her home.
Sehun flinched. "Lay or one of the managers could probably stay with you - you should be getting used to the crew."
Choyin knawed on her bottom lip. "Okay."
Sehun nodded and stood up. "Let's go get dressed.

Choyin giggled at Sehun as he tried, and failed, to make up and outfit that didn't make her look like a hobo. "A pair of shorts and that plaid shirt you're holding should be fine, oppa," she murmured.
Sehun gave her a cheeky grin. "I knew that."
Choyin laughed quietly and wrapped her arms around him from her perch on the bed. "Sure you did."
Sehun laughed. He was already on his knees from digging through her suitcase, so he just buried his face into her shoulder. "We should stop and get bubble tea on our way home."
Choyin's nails scraped lightly against his scalp as she ran her fingers through his hair, tugging gently. "We should," she hummed in agreement.
Sehun smiled and closed his eyes for a moment. "How's your foot feel?" he asked, pulling away to look at her, his hands resting gently on her thighs.
Choyin looked down at the bulky cast. "It's alright. It hurts just a little."
Worry filled Sehun's eyes. "Do you want a pain pill? The doctor wants you to keep the pain under control."
Choyin flushed. She wasn't the best on pain tolerance - in fact, it'd been a miracle she'd even stayed awake long enough for the paramedics to make out the name she'd been repeating the night of the accident. "Yeah."
Sehun nodded and got

Before he could take more than three steps, she gasped.

"Oh my gosh, I am so sorry. Your shirt - God, I'm an idiot."
The boy smiled and waved off her words. "It's fine. It smells like...bubble tea. It shouldn't stain this, and if it does, I have plenty more."
Choyin chewed on her bottom lip. "Are you sure? It's soaked, I dumped my whole drink on you -"
He let out a boyish laugh, causing a blush to rise on her cheeks. "Naw, it's all good. I can get you a new one - I was just about to go in to order my own."
She flushed, looking down shyly. "You don't have to, I should be the one buying you one."
He shook his head. "No. I should have been watching where I was going, too. Come on, which one did you have?"
Choyin told him, then found a table for the two of them, feeling as if she should know this man.
Paparazzi, mixed with at least fifteen girls, stood outside the building, clicking photos left and right. She turned her head from the windows, pursing her lips.

He must've been someone famous.
And she spilt bubble tea all over him!

Groaning, she watched anxiously, as the boy finally bought the drinks, returning moments later with them in his hands.
Taking the opportunity, she read the name printed on his.

Sehun.

God, that name sounded so familiar.
But from where?

"Thank you," she murmured, taking a sip.
Sehun smiled. "It's nothing. I really do love these."
Choyin flushed. "They're my favorite thing to drink."
Sehun's smile widened into a charming eye-smile. "Mine too." He paused for a moment, the asked, "Don't you know who I am?"
Choyin blushed. "Your name sounds really familiar. And I'm assuming you're famous - there's fans and paparazzi just outside the door."
Sehun snuck a glance out, pursing his lips. "They follow me everywhere."
Choyin bit her lip. "How old are you?"
Sehun turned his gaze back to her. "Eighteen."
She was seventeen. And she could tell that he knew she wasn't older than him. "What band are you in?"
He blinked. "For all you know, I could be an actor."
She shook her head. "I keep tabs on actors. Not music."
He chuckled, taking another sip from his drink. "Exo."
Her lips formed an 'o'. "Mama? History?"
He nodded, a small blush forming on his cheeks. "Can we...do this again? Without the bubble tea ending up on my shirt next time."
Choyin flushed scarlet. "It was an accident!" she whined, covering her cheeks.
Sehun laughed quietly. "I know, I know. But seriously." His gaze changed from the playful mood she'd been witnessing since she met him to complete and utter serious.
Choyin hesitated. "I would love to."

"Choyin-ah?"
She blinked, her lips slightly parted. Her eyes focused on Sehun, and she murmured, "Sorry."
Sehun frowned. "For what?"
"Your shirt. And...bubble tea."
Humor lit up in his eyes. "Which time are you talking about?"
Choyin flushed and tucked her face into his neck, closing her eyes. "When we first met, you goof."
Sehun chuckled. "I love you, Choyin."

Choyin's breath left her lips, and she looked into his eyes. "You missed the -ah suffix, dummy."
He laughed quietly. "I tell you I love you, and you tell me I missed a suffix." Shaking his head, he stood up and left to get her the pain pill and a glass of water, pressing a kiss to her forehead when he got back.
Choyin thanked him, swallowing the pills quickly. "I love you too, by the way."
Sehun's eyes found hers again. "You don't have to say that because you feel guilty that you didn't say it when I did. Make it sincere."
Choyin stuck her tongue out childishly. "Fine, I don't love you then."
Sehun chuckled and helped her stand up. "Let's get you dressed, and then we'll take the day from there."
Choyin nodded, pressing a firm, yet soft, kiss to his lips.

Choyin sat on her bed, anxiously fiddling with Sehun's phone.
Hers had been lost in the car accident.
All of the boys had left, and on their manager remained.

And, to be honest, the man scared her.

Sighing, she got up and began to manuever around the house carefully, almost falling twice on the slippery floor. "Manager oppa?" she called, frowning when she didn't see him in the kitchen or family room.
"You should be in bed."
Choyin jumped, the movement causing her crutches to slip out from under her, and her to land on the ground with a thud, the same moment the door opened.

"Babe?"
Panic shone in Sehun's voice, and the sound of him dropping bags were obvious. He didn't have to run very far before he found Choyin on the floor, the manager kneeling down beside her.
Narrowing his eyes, he helped her up without saying a word to the manager. "Did you hit your foot on anything?" he murmured.
Choyin closed her eyes and leaned against him. "It bumped the wall." Pain shot up her leg, and she bit back a whimper.
Sehun pulled back to look at her. "Do we need to go in?"
Choyin shook her head. "It barely hit the wall."
Sehun pursed his lips. "You're crying. Come on." With that, he picked up the fallen crutches and passed them to a wide-eyed Kai, then picked her up bridal-style and carried her out to the car, tossing the manager a rude look.

Choyin managed a giggle as she glanced around the room she was in. Almost as soon as they'd heard she'd fallen, the rest of Exo had dropped what they were doing to come to the hospital with her.
While Kyungsoo and Chanyeol entertained her, Sehun argued with her doctor in the corner of the room.

"Choyin, would you rather wear a boot or keep the cast?"
She blined at the sudden question. Glancing between Sehun and Dr. Im, she asked, "Which one's reccommended?"
Before Sehun could reply, Dr. Im began listing off the pros and cons of both, and Choyin listened carefully, nodding every now and then.
"I think I'd prefer the boot."
Dr. Im smiled while Sehun scowled. "Can everyone but the boyfriend step out and wait in the waiting room?"
Sehun hopped onto the bed next to her and grabbed her hand. "Let's see what your foot looks like then."

By the time the cast was off, Choyin was in tears. It had somehow managed to stick to her stitches, something Dr. Im didn't realize until she yelped, and Sehun grumbled something about being more careful.
Her foot was a colorful combination of yellow, blue, and purple.

Sehun rubbed her side soothingly as Dr. Im reachd behind himself to grab a white long sock, a boot from under the cupboard, tweezers, and a small pair of scissors.
"What are those for?" Choyin asked, unable to keep the shaking out of her voice.
Sehun pulled her tighter against his side, resting his cheek on the top of her head.
Dr. Im looked up. "I'm doing what I would have done later today, so unless you fall again, you guys don't have to stop by."

With a skilled hand, he removed the stitches almost (almost) painlessly, stopping only once to smile reassuringly at Choyin. Once they were all off, he barely ran his finger along the healing cut, causing Choyin to whimper. "It closed up beautifully."
She gave him a shaky smile.

Almost an hour later, Choyin and the boys were leaving the hospital, Sehun carrying the bag with more compression socks (which Choyin had decided she hated) and instructions of how to take care of the boot.

In the car, XOXO Kiss version blared through the speakers, and Choyin leaned her head against Sehun's shoulder in the backseat.
However, when a certain tune from track seven began playing, she shot up, turning her head to look out the window, her hands visibly shaking. "Not this song."
Sehun furrowed his eyebrows. "You loved this song though."
She shook her head frantically, staring out the left window. "Please, skip the song," she whimpered, shaking her head.
Sehun blinked, but nodded to Suho, who in turn pressed the skip button, and sat up to catch Choyin's hands. "What's wrong?" he murmured, rubbing her wrists with his thumbs.
Choyin's eyes were dilated, and she turned to look out the window again. "The accident -"
Realization hit Sehun, and he turned her head to look back at him. "Choyin, you're fine. Nothing's going to happen, you're going to be okay," he murmured, soothing her hair down.
The shaking in her hands faded, and she turned to look out the window once more. "Are you -"
Sehun cut her off again, turning her head to look at him once more. "We won't play that song anymore, okay?"
Choyin nodded, finally relaxing in his arms and not meeting the boys' worried gazes.

They didn't know what the problem was, but they did know it was related to the accident.

Choyin shivered, closing her eyes. "Please don't leave me," she whispered quietly.

Sehun rubbed her back gently, furrowing his eyes as he looked out the window.

Notes

whoop whoop :3
I'm not entirely satisfied with that chapter (considering it was written at three in the morning over the span of the last two days), but I honestly don't know what else to write lol

Whatcha think about the little insight to how Choyin and Sehun met? :D it's cliche, I know, but I almost made the flashback into her introducing him to her parents lol but then I wasn't so happy with that part of the chapter either xD
Either way you look at it, this was extremely edited from the 3AM version lol :D

Ps: updates could be slow, because my mother just got out of the hospital from lung surgery. While it's easier to write chapters while doing things than it is Imagines, this could get updated more than my Imagines collection.
