Chapter Two~

Choyin smiled, feeling undeniably happy. After half a year, she'd finally got a chance to see a friend from high school.
I'm on my way home xx

She sent the text, knowing Sehun was probably still in his concert and wouldn't see it for at least twenty more minutes. Climbing into her car, she pulled her seatbelt on and placed her phone face down on the seat next to her, just so she wouldn't get distracted by the screen.
"Accidents happen really fast, Choyin. Promise me you won't be on this thing when you're driving?" Sehun had asked, holding her phone up.
Choyin bit her lip. "Promise."

Choyin smiled to herself as she pulled out of the driveway and headed to the hotel, 'Don't Go' playing from her car stereo.
The sound of screeching tires brought her back to reality, and she turned her head, comprehension of her situation not dawning on her until the car hit, shock coursing through her body.
Her car was pushed into the guard rail from the force, her head snapping to the side with a sickening crack, snapping back to hit the window harshly.
Her head moved up, proving her neck was not broken, as pain began to course through her foot, her eyes searching for the phone on the passenger's seat. Spots littered her vision, but she felt her breath catch as she realized the one thing she feared most.

The seat was empty.

Panic rose in her as the pain increased, and she turned to the situation at hand. Pushing the airbag from her face, she almost vomited.
Her foot was completely bloody, and she couldn't feel even her toes. She allowed a whimper to escape her lips, once more trying to find her phone.

No. Of course - her eyes located it, no where near her reach.
Choyin threw her head back in despair, her shaking hand reaching up to push sweat from her face. "Sehun."
The sounds of sirens brought her around, and she pressed a hand against the foggy window.
Her lips continued to move, two single words falling from them. "Oh Sehun. Oh Sehun."
Her hand fell from the window, the dull pain of glass cutting her fingers seeping through the fog of unconsciousness for just one moment.
A whimper left her lips, and she turned her head away from the offending glass.
Lucky she did. The next moment, glass shattered around her, a voice asking questions.
She didn't understand a single one, though they were asked in her native language. Turning her head back to the man on the other side of the door, she continued to repeat the one name on her mind. "Oh Sehun."

Choyin's eyes fluttered open, and she looked around her. Bland yellow-ish orange walls stared at her, and slowly, she became aware of the machine next to her counting her heart beats.
But why was she in the hospital?
Frowning, she tried to call out to the men and women passing her door. "Yah!"
Her voice broke, making the fact that she was thirsty painfully obvious.
Her claustrophobia begin to set in as the doctors and nurses continued to walk by, not looking into her room. Why was she here? Why was her hand bandaged up, and why did she have a cast on her left foot?
Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep beep beep.
The sounds coming from the machine got faster and faster, and she gripped the thin blanket covering her. "Yah!"
Once more, her voice broke. As the machine got faster, she pressed her head into the pillow, trying to remember something from the day before.
Nothing came.

"Miss Mae, we're going to have to ask you to calm down."
Her head snapped up, and she instantly regretted it as pain coursed through her skull. "Why am I here?" she demanded.
The nurse sat down next to her, holding a cup of shaved ice. "You were in an accident," she stated simply. "Can you feel your fingers?"
Choyin nodded impatiently. "Why does that - that - " She couldn't finish the sentence, her voice repeatedly breaking. Huffing in annoyance, she pressed a hand to her forehead.
The nurse smiled gently, holding out a spoonful of ice. "Precaution for the surgery," she explained. "How do you feel?"
Choyin accepted the ice, letting it melt in her mouth. "Everything hurts," she mumbled. "My head especially."
The nurse nodded. "You took a pretty bad hit. Do you remember anything?"
Choyin shook her head, accepting more ice. "No." That one syllable revealed how terrified she was, and she cringed inwardly.
The nurse gave her a gentle smile. "I'm Yoori. Dr. Kim will be in shortly - but you have a visitor that's been here ever since you arrived. Do you, by any chance, remember a boy named Oh Sehun?"
Choyin crinkled her nose, thinking. "No. Why? Should I know him?"
Yoori nodded, placing the cup behind her. "You two have been together for two years, Choyin," she murmured.
Choyin rose her eyebrow. "How do you know that?" she asked curiously.
Yoori blushed. "Oh Sehun isn't your average Korean." She looked down, then stood up. "Would you like me to send the doctor in now?"
Choyin nodded, her mind on the boy. She'd had a boyfriend, one she had no memories of.

Within moments, she was alone once more. Not for long, though.

"Hello, Mae Choyin. How do you feel?"
She looked up as a tall man walked in, clad in a long white coat. "Sore."
He smiled slightly, nodding. In a sense, he was incredibly handsome, but it wasn't appealing in any way, shape, or form to her. "As we expected. Can you hold up your right hand for me?"

The next half an hour consisted of tests to test her coordination, memories, and movements.
By the time they were done, Choyin was ready to fall back asleep.
Instead, she forced her eyes open. "Doctor Kim?" she asked, playing with her fingers. Her left hand had a few stitches from being cut by glass, but the ace bandage covered them.
The doctor looked up. "Yes?"
Choyin took a deep breath. "Who is Oh Sehun?"
The doctor looked away. "Your boyfriend."
Choyin's eyebrows furrowed. "I didn't have a boyfriend."
Doctor Kim met her eyes steadily. "Choyin, you've lost memory. You don't remember things that happened in the past two years, but three years ago. And that isn't going to help you with anything - your life changed two years ago."
Choyin pursed her lips. "I suppose it's from the accident?" she asked, curiousity seeping into her voice.
Kim turned towards her. "Yes. You broke the window from hitting it with your head so hard, Choyin."
Heat covered her cheeks lightly, and she looked away. "I want to see Oh Sehun."
The doctor nodded. "First, I need to talk to him. He'll be in in about twenty minutes."

"Oh Sehun!"
He didn't look up at his name, opting to instead stare at the polished floor.
"Oh Sehun."
The voice was softer this time, and he peeked up. "Yes?"
Doctor Kim held out his hand. "We haven't properly met. I'm Choyin's doctor, Doctor Kim."
Sehun placed his hand in the older man's instantly. He'd had his attention the minute he said her name. "How is she?"
Kim let a small smile fall on his lips. "She's awake. I need to talk to you before you go in and see her though."
Dread filled Sehun. "What do you mean? Is she missing an arm, leg? How bad is she hurt?" he asked, panic filling him.
Kim waved his questions aside. "Come. You need water."
Sehun stood up, pushing a hand through his hair. Placing his hat back on his head, he followed Kim, worry eating him alive.

He accepted the water given to him, gulping it down thirstily. Refilling the glass, he let Doctor Kim lead him to an empty table, sitting across from him as he spread out paperwork, each piece holding Choyin's name at the top.
"I realize you know she was in an accident. It was with a drunk."
Sehun's lips formed a frown. "What happened to the drunk?" he growled.
Kim didn't seem to be affected by his tone as he calmly replied, "She's perfectly fine. Choyin recieved the blunt of the accident - the drunk driver, however, has had her license suspended for two years."
Sehun's fist came down on the table harshly, spilling water from his cup. "It should be taken away for good," he hissed.
Again, the doctor didn't seem fazed. "It's the best we can do, Mr. Oh. Now, onto Miss Mae. We've requested you keep an eye on her for six months, so she doesn't re-break her foot. SMEntertainment has cancelled the tour - I'm sure you've heard - but you may still be doing activites, in which case, one of your managers will be in charge of her."
Sehun held his hand up. "Hold on. Re-break her foot?"
Kim met his gaze. "The car accident broke it in three places. Right now, she's in a cast, but the option to be put in a boot is still open."
Sehun pursed his lips. "Which one is recommended?"
"The cast. We find that patients in a boot tend to take it off for long periods of time, which allows the foot to heal wrongly."
Sehun nodded. "Cast then."
Kim gave Sehun the smallest of smiles. "Good choice. Now, at the moment, her foot is not weight bearing. She can return home tomorrow morning, as soon as our test results come back. Try not to put stress on her, if possible."
Sehun nodded, shifting. "Can I see her now?"
Kim smiled. "One more thing - her memories are gone, due to the concussion she got. They're expected to come back by next year or so, but try help her remember along the way. Be patient. And she's in Room 202."

Sehun didn't waste any time getting up and rushing out of the cafeteria.
They'd passed her room.
208, 206, 204, 202.
Sehun paused outside her door, suddenly feeling nervous. She won't remember me.
Hesitantly, he knocked on the door.

"Come in!"
Her voice rang out, and she inwardly cringed. The door opened, revealing a tall man in a black sweatshirt, skinny jeans, and TOMs, a snap-back covering his dark blonde hair.
Dark circles seemed to stand out on his pale face, telling her he hadn't slept well. "Sehun?" she mumbled.
Surprise flitted through his features. "Do you remember me?" he asked.
Choyin shook her head. His voice is amazing. She blushed at the thought, brushing hair from her face. "The nurse told me your name," she murmured.
Sehun swallowed, taking his hat off to reveal fashionably messy hair. "At least you know it now," he mumbled. Grabbing a chair, he pulled it over to her bed, sitting down beside her. "How do you feel?"
Choyin bit her lip. She'd been asked that question more than she cared to admit, but coming from him, it seemed different. "Everything hurts," she whispered.
Sehun's arm twitched. He wanted to hold her hand, hug her. But she didn't remember anything about him - she would feel burdened. "Do you..remember it?" he murmured.
Choyin shook her head, glancing up to meet his gaze for a moment. "No. I was told the things I remember happening yesterday happened three years ago," she mumbled dejectedly.
A sigh left Sehun's lips, and he sat back before he could attempt to hold her. "The memories are likely to come back though," he said quietly, biting his lip.
Choyin let a small smile flit through her expression before asking, "How long am I going to stay here?"
Sehun let a small laugh leave his lips. She was still the same, hospital hating girl he'd fallen in love with. "In the morning. We'll be going back to our hotel," he murmured. "And, I hope you don't mind, but it's full of about eleven boys and a lot of crew members."
Choyin felt her eyebrows furrow. "Crew members? Eleven boys? What do you do for a living?" she asked, genuine curiosity shining in her voice.
Sehun let a small chuckle leave his lips. "I'm a singer and dancer. I'm part of a group called Exo."
Choyin's lips formed an 'o'. "And you dated me?" Genuine surprise filled her voice, and Sehun let his smile grow.
"Yes. Dating you wasn't as bad as you seem to think it is, Choyin."
Choyin laughed quietly. "But how could you stand me?" she asked.
Sehun looked down, a blush forming on his cheeks. I loved you. "You treated me normal. You weren't fazed by the fact that I was famous, that you had to pretend to be part of my crew so you could come tour with us, and not be bothered by my fans. The real question is this: how could you stand to be with me?"
