Ukiss Me Goodbye

Though not entirely sure why, the boys turned out their pockets according to AJ’s snappy order.
Aside from some pocket fluff, a piece of old candy and naturally Dongho’s latest knitting project, there wasn’t much to show. Still, AJ suspected a rat, and not the ones that were accompanying them in the tunnels.
“ Someone,” AJ pointed out the members at random, “ Is pulling a hoax! A really gross kissing hoax! And someone is still hiding the evidence!”
“ Don’t tell me you’re going to strip search us next!” Said Eli in his best "girly" voice, protectively folding his arms across his chest with a giggle.
“ No way!” cried Kevin, mimicking the gesture.
“ That’s just messed up, Hyung.” Dongho repulsively shook his head.
“ So is thinking that’s its funny to paint your lips red and kiss your members in the dark!” Said Hoon, who was now starting to feel more frustrated than fearful.
“ Why’d you look at me when you said that?” Eli asked offensively, letting his arms fall to his sides.
“ Because you’re the only one who seems to find this funny!” Hoon pointed a finger back and forth between AJ’s lip stick smeared cheek and his own.
“ Because it is funny!” Eli belted, “ But that doesn’t mean I’m the one behind the hoax!”
“ Maybe it’s not a hoax. Maybe it’s a haunting.” Dongho suggested coolly, as if he were merely remarking on the days weather. “ And maybe that’s why we’re trapped down here to begin with.”
For a long moment, no one said a word. Not because they believed what Dongho said, but perhaps because they didn’t want to. Eventually a squeaking rat and a shrieking Kevin broke the silence.
“ Haunting, hoax, whatever—“Soohyun interrupted with a wave of his hand, directing the others towards the rat tunnel. “ We need to start moving. Getting out of here and back to the film crew is the goal, remember? Yes? Good. Dongho, I want you to walk in front of us with the light so that we can see where to---Dongho, what’s wrong with the light?”
With a firm palm, Dongho tapped the game console in his hand. The light from the screen flickered.“ Weird. Battery must be dying.” He concluded.
“ Dying!? The battery can’t die! Not here! Not now!” Cried Kevin, making his own failed attempt to shake life back into the console.
“ It doesn’t matter.” Said AJ, “ We can feel our way through the tunnel if we have to. Let’s go while we still have some light left.”
Though reluctant, the members followed the path of the rats, hoping that wherever they were headed would eventually lead to a nice warm, sunshiny exit. That was the plan. However, what they didn’t plan on was never reaching that exit.
At least, not all of them.
