Chapter 23: That Night
Previously
Jin and Seulgi went to eat dinner together while Youngjae and Irene are having fun with each other’s company.
On that night Irene and Youngjae went to see the concert… After the concert they have left and went to a place to eat.
“Thanks for taking me to the concert” Irene referring to Youngjae
“It’s my pleasure” Youngjae replied
“Youngjae, I really had fun tonight thanks to you” She smiled and he smiled back
“I’m glad you did” he said
“Oh and I didn’t know you were a fan of them”
“Well, yes of course, my… uhm…” as youngjae was speaking, someone texted Irene and it was Mark
Text Message: Irene, what are you doing?
Irene texted back
“I’m with youngjae right now”
Youngjae continued talking and after she replied, there was no reply from Mark
Seulgi and Jin are at a meat restaurant eating
“Jin, why don’t you try this?” Seulgi hands over a dish to Jin so he could try it out. Jin grabbed it and ate it.
“So, how do you like it?” Seulgi ask
“It’s okay” Jin responded with an sad tone
“I didn’t want to say anything earlier but I’m predicting you have some thing going on, is everything okay?” Seulgi concerndly ask
Jin wasn’t able to answer
“It’s okay if you don’t want to talk about it, I understand” Seulgi comforts Jin
“It’s not that” Jin spoke “It’s just… I don’t know how to start it off by telling you” Jin worriedly said
“Remember that day outside your house?” Seulgi said
Flash Back
“I’m sorry” Jin finally spoke first
“Sorry for what?” Seulgi ask while looking at him
“For everything and for showing you this kind of side of me” Jin apologizes sincerely
“I’m also sorry” Seulgi said
“Why are you sorry?” Jin ask
“For… misunderstanding you, I…” Seulgi said and Jin interrupted her
“You don’t have to be sorry and you don’t have to pity me because I deserve this. Actually this isn’t enough. All the things that I have done in the past are worst and right now, I think karma really does exist” Jin said
“I may not know you that well but I know that you have a kind heart. You just want to act cool in front of everyone. You don’t have to do that, if they are truly your good friends, they would want to see you as you not a member of BTS.” Seulgi said comforting Jin
"Why are you worried about me?" Jin changed the topic and ask
"Huh?" she ask
"Why are you worried? Why are you here?" He ask again
“Yes. I do” he replied
“That day, I wanted to tell you that I am always here for you no matter what. You can always come to me and lean on my shoulders” Seulgi said sincerely
“Seulgi” he said
“It’s just that, I don’t want you getting hurt anymore, I don’t want to see you get hurt” She said sincerely while Jin is listening to her.
“Seulgi?” he said again
“Jin, I… I think… I think I like you” Seulgi said nervously
On the other hand, Bambam, Yugyeom and Joy are taking a walk near Han River
“Wow, it’s been quite a while since I walked around at night near Han River” Joy said to Yugyeom and BamBam
“This is my first time” Yugyeom said
Bambam gave a signal to Yugyeom for him to leave so he can be with Joy that night.
Yugyeom checked his phone. “Hey guys, I have to go” he said
“Where are you going?” Joy ask
“I totally forgot that I have plans this evening” Yugyeom made an excuse
“Well okay then Bye!” Joy said while Bambam waved at Yugyeom as he leave
There was an 5 seconds of silence as they walk
“You know Mr Kim?” Joy ask
“Yea” Bambam replied
“Don’t you think he is being unfair? I mean he gives us a lot of homeworks, projects and assignments” As Joy was talking BamBam just looks at her.
“We can’t even finish 3 homeworks a day and he gives us 5” she continued but notice BamBam wasn’t listening
“Bambam, are you listening?” Joy ask
“Oh… Uhm… there’s something I want to tell you” Bambam said in a serious way and Joy was listening
“Ever since I met you. No. I’ve always wanted to tell you that…” as he was speaking, Joy noticed Jungkook who was also taking a walk.
“It’s Jungkook” she said while Bambam was talking.
Back to Irene and Youngjae
Youngjae escorted Irene to her house and they were outside her house
“Thank you for tonight.” Irene said smiling
“No, thank you because of you I really had fun. Tonight was unforgettable night of my life”
Youngjae said smiling back at her
“So… I better get inside now” Irene said
“yea” Youngjae agreed
Irene turned around as she was walking inside her house
“Irene” Youngjae called her name.
