Chapter 22: My Heart is Hurting

Back into the cafeteria
"So... no one wants to go?" Youngjae ask
No one responded and Youngjae gave a signal to Mark and he spoke
"Since Irene is a fan of H.O.T, why don't you both go" Mark said dissappointedly
"Me? Just us?" Irene said
"Well, I suppose. Will that be okay?" Youngjae ask Irene
Irene thought for a second and answered
“Sure, why not” She said
“Wait, so you two are going on a date?” Jackson jokingly said
“A date?” Bambam and Yugyeom got all excited
“Wa…wait… who said that we are going on a date?” Irene said
“Isn’t it a date? I mean… A guy and girl are going out to watch the concert just the two of them. So that’s most likely what you call a date” Wendy said
“Guys, don’t misunderstand anything” Irene protest
“And besides we’re going to the concert as friends… And by the way, you guys didn’t want to come so might as well go together to see the concert” Youngjae jumped in the conversation
“Mark, are you okay?” Seulgi whispered to Mark
“Oh yea, I’m okay” he said then suddenly stood up and walked away
“Where is he going?” Jackson whispered to Seulgi but she didn’t respond
Mark is in the classroom all by himself looking out the window until someone approached him… Mark turned to his right and looked, it was Jr standing beside him. Mark looked out the window again
“How have you been?” Jr ask “It’s been so long, right?” Jr said. “It’s been really quite a while” Jr continued
There was a(n) 10 seconds silence
“Have you been living okay?” Mark ask and gasp “I shouldn’t have asked” He continued
“It’s okay. And about the bullying? I’m used to it” Jr said
“You why do you keep… Why do you keep living that way?” Mark ask frustratingly
“It’s because of Jin” Jr replied
“What?” confused Mark
“It’s okay if I’m being bullied by Jin” Jr said smiling
“It’s okay?” Mark frustratingly ask
“I just wanted to say sorry to him, every second, every minute, every day” Jr said sincerely
“Is that why, your okay of getting bullied because you want to see Jin every day and say those words?” Mark angrily ask and Jr shook his head
“How… How can… How can you be so STUPID and Coward!?” Mark is feeling very angry
“Mark?” Jr said concerned
“And why do you need to say sorry to that bastard who betrayed us in the end? Just because he wanted fame, he betrayed us like that. He doesn’t deserve your sorry and you and I haven’t done anything wrong”
Jr tries to speak but Mark is exploding of anger right now
“And please move on. He’s not the old Jin that we know already and he will never come back to us” Mark continued
Jin on the other side was listening to Mark and Jr’s conversation, he shed tears and walked away. As Jin was walking home from School, he suddenly bumped into Seulgi but he didn’t noticed and just walked straight pass her. Seulgi suddenly stopped and called his name
“Jin? Jin!?” she yelled at his name until he turned around and saw Seulgi standing smiling at him
“Oh. Seulgi, hey” Jin said with a sad expression
Seulgi sensed that Jin have a problem but she was afraid to ask
“Hi, it’s been quite a while since I talked to you like this” Seulgi said
“I know right” Jin agreed
“Hey, uhm! Since I am going to a Meat store, would you mind joining me?” ask Seulgi
“Oh, I’m sorry but…”
“Come on, let’s go” Seulgi grabbed Jin’s arm and dragged him with her
“Seu…Seul…”
On that night Irene and Youngjae went to see the concert… After the concert they have left and went to a place to eat.
“Thanks for taking me to the concert” Irene referring to Youngjae
“It’s my pleasure” Youngjae replied
“Youngjae, I really had fun tonight thanks to you” She smiled and he smiled back
“I’m glad you did” he said
“Oh and I didn’t know you were a fan of them”
“Well, yes of course, my… uhm…” as youngjae was speaking, someone texted Irene and it was Mark
Text Message: Irene, what are you doing?
Irene texted back
“I’m with youngjae right now”
Youngjae continued talking and after she replied, there was no reply from Mark
Mark’s at the park, feeling sad, upset, angry. Etc…
“That’s right, I shouldn’t bother them” Mark said to himself feeling upset

Mark's heart is hurting right now because of all these problems. Will he be able to fix his problems with Jin and Jr and tell Irene that he loves her? What do you think will happen to Mark?
