It was hot. It was boiling. I felt like I could actually bake like a cake on the golden hot sand. Well...it's America! What would you expect? I guess the good thing is that I'm with the girls for the summer break. It's the first time my parents have let me stay at a friend's place for the whole summer break!!! So here we are.....the gang, all lined up in a row, in bikinis and soaking up the summer rays.
Suddenly, a soccer ball rolls over to us and hits me on the leg.
"Oi! Who was that?" I yell.
A guy lingers over to me and picks up the ball. "Sorry :)" he says.
"S'ok" I say purely because he was really cute or else I would have gone and ripped out all his hair!
"Are you and your friends playing beach soccer?" I ask.
'Yeh, do you and your gang, wanna join us?" he asks
I discuss it with my friends and say "sure" to him and get up to join the game.
"OKAY!! Boys vs Girls, and both teams need to chose a goalie" he says.
His friends points at him and says "Yo,, Chanyeol, you wanna be goalie?"
"Sure!" he replies.
The girls choose my best friend, Ally to be goalie and we get this match started.
Miranda moves swiftly with the ball and dodges a few of the boys who were trying to steal and passes the ball to Cindy. Cindy moves closer to the boy's goal and kicks. She scores!!!!!
"Girls 1, Boys nil" Chanyeol says and continues to game.
Chanyeol's friend, Justin moves towards out goal. I make my move and steal the ball from him. I make my way down to the boy's goal and kick. Chanyeol moves in front of the ball to get ready to catch it. But instead of catching it, the ball flies straight at his 'place'......hard. His face scrunches up in pain and he falls on the sand. I run over to him as fast as I can.
"OMG Chanyeol! I am so sorry! Are you okay?" I yell at him.
"I'm .....okay...." he says, clearly still in pain. I help him up and bring him over to a bench. After a few minutes, he''s back to normal. "Wow! That was like a near death experience!" he says, laughing. I smile and he turns around to look at me. His eyes dart from eyes to my lips. I feel a sense of awkwardness so I jump up. "So....... I gotta get back to my friends. See Ya!" I say to him and walk away.
While I was walking back to my friend's place, I take out my phone to see a new message.
It said.....
Hey it's Chanyeol from the beach.....the one who you nearly killed with a soccer ball! LOL! :) I got your number from your best friend because I was wondering if you wanted to have dinner with me at the Gyeuro Restaurant at about 6ish..... Please reply!
I type back 'yes' and send it. 'Great! See you then!" he replies and I hurry back to get ready.
I meet him there at 5:55pm, and we walk in and sit down at a table.
We get to know each other more like interests and family.
8pm
"So....I had a great time!" he says.
"Same here!" I say.
"See you tomorrow?" he says.
"Sure!" I say and start my journey back to my friends's place.
The next morning
I wake up pretty early, probably because my room was on the top storey and I could hear really loud rustling outside. I drag myself out of bed and to the window.
There he was......
Chanyeol was looking up at me with a heart made out of red roses on the lawn.
"I think I have fallen in love with someone" he yells up.
"Me too" I say.
He smiles and gives me an air kiss.
"I have fallen in love with a beautiful, kind girl who loves to hurt guys with soccer balls, which is an extremely bad thing" he says, laughing.
"Don't worry, I won't hurt you anymore!" I say, giggling.
"Sure?" he asks.
"Yep!" I reply.
"Then will you accept my heart?" he says, pointing at the red heart heart on the lawn.
"Sure...." I say.
"This was really unexpected,how I can start loving someone" he says. "But I have started.....loving you".
"I smile at him, "Unexpected love, is always the best!"
