This Is My Life...

For the next couple of weeks or so, Yejin had been busy with keeping up with school and practicing for the showcase. She has been working super hard to get where she wants to be at. On top of that, she is getting into debuting as an artist at JYPE. While Yejin was doing that, GOT7 went on their debut promotions to Malaysia for a week before Christmas break. It was [FRIDAY], the day after GOT7 got back from Malaysia. After dance class was over, Yejin met with the other GOT7 members with Mina to talk about Mark's birthday celebration and what they should do for him but they told her not to do anything.

Annie : So........... i was thinking of celebrating Mark's birthday somewhere.
Annie : can you guys help me plan ?
JB : We shouldn’t plan for his birthday.
Annie (*looks at the GOT7 members) : why ?
Jackson : we never celebrated it.
Jr. : Mark's parents weren’t never around on his birthday, their always working.
Annie : were they out of the country or something ?
Youngjae : Ohhh. its been like that every year.
BamBam : we only go out to eat and thats it for his birthday which is really sad.
Annie : there's no cake or anything ? no party ?
Yugyeom : No. we never once celebrated it since we grew up with him.
Annie : if he doesn’t want to celebrate it then can’t we just bring him somewhere ?
JB : where ?
Annie : i was thinking of Lotte World.
Annie : my two best friends are coming to Korea tomorrow, their flying here.
Annie : i'll ask them to come too.
Jackson : friends ?
Annie : Ohhh. Mina should come too.
Mina : i'll come too.
Annie : i want to give him a cake and presents, you guys should too.
Jr. : cake ? i love cake !
Annie (*smiles) : we should prepare it before time.
Annie : i'll go walking around with him and stop somewhere to talk.
Annie : then Mina can come quietly to give me the present to him.
Annie : when he is looking through the present, i'll quietly leave him and get the cake.
Annie : then we come to him with the cake singing happy birthday.
Youngjae : have you thought about this ?
Annie : Ohhh.
BamBam : you are such a great friend and girlfriend to Mark, he is lucky.
Yugyeom : yeah, he is lucky.
Mina : sounds like a plan.

[The week after] It was Christmas break, Yen and Lily took a plane to Korea to visit Yejin. Yejin picked them up at the airport with Mark, Jackson, and JB there. Then they went to Yejin's home to rest up. Yejin catched up with Yen and Lily. Couple days later, it was Mark's birthday and Yejin wanted to celebrate it even though the GOT7 members said not to celebrate it. So Yejin brought along GOT7, Mina, Yen, Lily, Minjee, and Minjung to Lotte World. Yejin had planned this birthday surprise for Mark for two days already and she just wanted to make him happy by letting him have the birthday he shouldve had. So Mina and Yugyeom went their separate ways around the park. Yen and JB walked around to talk while Jackson was being awkward with Lily and wanting to get to know her better. And of course, Mark and Annie went walking by themselves around the park too. Youngjae and Minjee walked together to talk. BamBam, Jr., and Minjung just went their separate ways to hang out together. When they were hanging out with each other, Yejin texted everyone to meet back at what time at what place to surprise Mark with a birthday cake. Mark and Yejin stopped walking around and just stood in front of the ice skating rink to talk for a while. He became suspicious of what she was doing for that day because it was for his birthday.

Youngjae and Minjee were sitting on the benches watching the other kids play and they sat to talk to each other.

Minjee : Im sorry about saying that i didnt remember you when i did.
Youngjae : I knew you would remember me, im your best friend Minjee-ah.
Minjee : I couldnt forget about you. I went looking for you after i found out that you left.
Minjee : i completely gave up after 3 months.
Youngjae : Im sorry. I left because i had to do something i love for the rest of my life.
Youngjae : i wanted to come back and see you one last time but i was on lock down.
Youngjae : we couldnt go anywhere outside of JYPE and our dorms.
Youngjae : i wish i couldve gone to you one last time before going into the real world.
Minjee : i wish you did too. i really miss you and i cared about you.
Minjee : i thought we would be friends forever.
Youngjae : im so sorry Minjee-ah.
Minjee : Oppa, theres something i need to tell you. it might break your heart.
Youngjae : what is it ?
Minjee : Im going to be flying to LA to work at a record label there for my career.
Youngjae (*looks over to Minjee & asks) : when will you leave ?
Minjee : i leave after the showcase. My flight is 2 hours after the ending.
Minjee : i thought i should let you know.
Youngjae : how long are you leaving for ?
Minjee : as long as i want. i will back once i release my first album there.
Youngjae : im happy for you Minjee-ah.
Minjee : i want to be happy.
Youngjae : thats right.

Mina and Yugyeom walked around the park and talked.

Mina : everyone seems happy. Yejin and Mark are happy together.
Mina : Jackson is getting to know Lily and JB is being nice to Annie.
Mina : everyone's happy.
Yugyeom (*suddenly asks) : and are you happy ?
Mina : I am. im happy that your here with me. thanks Yugyeom.
Yugyeom : Do you still remember what i gave you for your first birthday when we met ?
Yugyeom : do you know ?
Mina : Oh, i remember.
Yugyeom : what was it ?
Mina : it was a watch. i wanted it because i wanted to be like everyone else at school.
Mina : kids thought i was cool because i had it.
Yugyeom : do you still have it ?
Mina : of course. i kept it in my jewelery box. i will always keep it.
Yugyeom : I love you Jieun-ah.
Mina (*smiles) : I love you Yugyeom-ah.
(*Mina and Yugyeom walked hand in hand together back to the ice rink since they got a text message from Annie.)

Jackson and Lily were awkwardly walking together in silence. No one was talking until Jackson asked something to Lily then she responds and finds out that they have something in common with each other.

Jackson : so you live in America ? California ?
Lily : LA.
Jackson : so how long have you known Annie and Yen for ?
Lily : ive known both of them since 7th grade in middle school.
Jackson : was Annie different back then ?
Lily : No, she is still the same.
Jackson : are you interested in kpop music ?
Lily : i like to listen to kpop hip hop music more. i like the raps.
Jackson : really ? i rap in GOT7.
Lily : i know. (*smiles)
Lily : you look good in a hat by the way. do you wear them a lot ?
Jackson : before becoming an idol, i never wore hats because im always competing.
Lily : competing ? what for ?
Jackson : i used to fence and compete all over the world, around China mostly.
Lily : really ? i play volleyball and basketball when i was growing up.
Jackson : all of the GOT7 members love to play basketball. we should play sometime.
Lily (*smiles) : we should when we all have time.
Jackson : i will totally kick your ass at basketball with my members.
Lily : really ? ive played for quite a long time, i dont think you want to mess with me.
Lily (*smiles) : im really good you know.
Jackson (*smiles) : we'll see one day.
Jackson (*suddenly asks) : do you believe in love ?
Lily : i dont believe in long distance relationship so why should i believe in love ?
Jackson : then you have never fell in love before ?
Lily : i have but it was a big mistake.
Jackson : what happened ?
Lily : we rushed into it, well he did and he completely broke my heart by leaving.
Lily : so i wouldnt call it love.
Jackson : where did he go ?
Lily : he left to New York for a job and i never seen him ever since.
Lily : i dont want to ever see him again. and there i thought i fell in love, love is a lie.
Jackson : but it change.
Lily : how ?
Jackson : you might not know until you see them again, it might change your mind.
Lily : i doubt it.
Jackson : i think im starting to like you for some reason.
Lily : why ?
Jackson : because your different. your not afraid to say how you feel.
Jackson : your not girly at all.
Jackson : i like girls like you.
Lily : then you mustve been in a lot of relationships.
Jackson : i havent but i want to.
Lily : maybe one day there will be someone. (*smiles)
Jackson : maybe thats you. (*smiles)
Lily (*blushes & phone rings saying she got a text message from Annie to meet back)

JB and Yen just walked around not talking to each other. Then Annie and Mark were walking around the theme park. They finally stopped right in front of the ice rink to talk for a little.

Annie (*texts everyone to come back to the ice rink with everything)
Mark (*being suspicious of Annie & asks her) : you knew what day today is, do you ?
Annie : happy birthday ?
Mark : you knew and you brought me here ?
Annie (*guilty) : yeah.
Annie : i wanted to make you happy since i know what happened.
Mark : what happened ?
Annie : your parents werent around when it was your birthday so you never celebrated it.
Mark : thats right. but why do you care so much about celebrating birthdays ?
Annie : i had the same problem as you when i was little.
Annie : after my mom died, as a family we stopped celebrating each others birthdays.
Annie : its not special anymore so we dont do it.
Mark : you did it for me because you didnt have one ?
Mark : because other people need to happy ?
Annie : Oh.
Mark (*faces Annie & holds her in his arms)
Mark (*says) : I am happy. im here with you, GOT7, and other people too.
Mark : my life might not be as great as most people but i have the people i love with me.
Mark : thats all i need Annie.
Annie : i know but i wanted to do something in particular for you at least once.
Mark : you already have. Being with you is all i want.

Mark then hugged her. Then Mina came over to Annie with Annie's present quietly to give to her. Annie held it quietly and then let go of Mark after the hug. Then Annie gave Mark his birthday present with a smile. When Mark was standing there opening it, Annie stood behind him making her way back to everyone couple feet away to prepare for the cake. Then Mark looked up from the present and realized that Annie was gone and yelled for her name. He stood there worried and looking back at the present. Then Annie came holding a cake with candles in it with GOT7, Mina, Yen, Lily, Minjung, and Minjee behind her singing happy birthday in Korean. Then Mark smiled when seeing all of them. He made a wish and blew out the candles. Then everyone came to hug Mark, group hug. Then they went to sat somewhere to eat near there and just talked. They spent the entire day with each other. That night, Annie and Mark had already reached home. They stood in front of their houses because Mark wanted to tell Annie something important.

Mark : there's something i have to tell you and i think your going to be sad.
Annie (*looks at Mark & says) : what is this about ?
Mark (*holds her hand to try to calm her down & says) : GOT7 is going on their Asia tour.
Annie (*lets go of his hand & says) : when ?
Mark : we leave Korea the morning after the showcase to Japan and China.
Annie (*looks down & asks) : for how long ?
Mark : until we go back to school for graduation.
Annie (*looks up to him) : thats for 2 weeks.
Mark : if you cant wait for me then come with us.
Annie : i cant just leave here and go. i have a future to plan with JYPE, i cant Mark.
Annie : Graduation is right around the corner.
Mark : i know, and im willing to wait for you while im over there.
Mark : it will only be 2 weeks Annie.
Annie : you know i cant wait that long. what am i suppose to do ?
Annie : its not that simple Mark.
Mark : i promise you that i'll be back in no time to see you and hold you again. i promise.
Annie : you promise me that.
Mark : i promise.

They both hugged it out and went back into the house. Two days later, it was the day of the showcase. Annie and GOT7 worked really hard at practice. Everyone was ready to perform but nervous at the same time. The solo's went first then it was onto the groups. Annie performed a remix of “American Dream” and “Classic” by MKTO. She and GOT7 performed to a remix of "Girls Girls Girls" and "A" that they produced together. They sang and dance together on stage. Before going on stage, Mark was behind Annie trying to calm her nervousness down.

Annie (*standing there behind the curtain waiting for her name to be called next)
Annie (*holding her microphone nervously)
Mark (*grabs her wrists & says) : Dont nervous.
Annie : i am though.
Mark : your mom is with you watching over you right now.
Mark : your dad and Eric came to see you perform.
Annie : how ? i didnt even tell them.
Mark : i did. i talked to them on the phone while i was in Malaysia.
Mark : i told them to come and see you perform amazingly.
Annie (*sighs) : this can be a make it or break it moment. i dont know what to do.
Annie : im so nervous right now.
Mark : listen to me. you'll do great, amazing actually.
Mark : believe in yourself and you'll do great.
Annie (*hugs Mark)
(*Announcer/ MC announces Annie's name)
Annie (*lets go of Mark & goes on stage)

Annie performed amazingly and was happy on stage. After the showcase was over, they announced the winner. Unfortunately, she didnt win but she got a prize for making it to the top ten by JYP Entertainment. Jia won the crown. Everyone came out for the final performance as all the performers. Annie congratulated Jia on winning and hugged all of the GOT7 members happily. Then she saw her dad and Kevin in the crowd and went to them. She hugged the both of the happily. After the showcase was finally over, everyone had left home. When Annie was walking down the halls to go home, she heard Jackson and Mark talk about their next tour around the country. Annie hid behind the lockers to listen to what they had to say.

Jackson : the showcase was awesome, especially our performance with Annie.
Annie (*walks out quietly & hears them talk)
Annie (*hids behind the lockers listening to what they had to say)
Mark : too bad we didnt win.
Jackson : at least we had fun.
Jackson : did you tell Annie about the tour after China ?
Mark : i just told her about China, i didnt want to break her heart by telling her more.
Mark : she might be broken. she said she couldnt wait for me.
Mark : i promised her that i will be back to care for her as soon as possible.
Mark : i couldnt tell her about Europe.
Annie (*after hearing that her tears dropped down her face)

Annie took her back off the lockers and went the way she came from before. While she was walking, she wiped away her tears. Jackson and Mark turned around after hearing someone walk behind where they were talking at. Mark saw Annie's figure and ran after her. She ran to the river underneath the bridge to think for a bit. Mark followed her there and tried to talk to her about it, he tried to get her to understand.
