Tales of a Housewife

• ...So this is what an audition feels like huh. So many people younger than you by maybe 4 years, also probably have more experience that you too.
• "Your name?", asked the middle aged women, who was looking me up and down as if I was trash. To describe how I looked a month after that incident, I wouldn't call it trashy, maybe kind of homeless. Not because I was, at least not for another week. I was wearing an XL t-shirt with a flower pattern of leggings. I guess there wasn't much in my closet to choose from. My hair wasn't anything special, it was down and uncombed.
• "My name is Byun...wait. I mean Im JinAh." She rolled her eyes at my screw up, as if to say, "It's not like you have a chance anyway." She stuck a paper with my audition number on my shirt, and then waved me aside and shouted "NEXT!"
• I took a seat in one of the plastic chairs in the auditorium. All around me were people practicing, ranging from 10 year old's to people a little older than myself. They were all very talented though, even if it was dancing, or singing, or even just being funny. It seemed that I was the awkward one in the crowd. I didn't bring an instrument with me, I wasn't wearing a dance outfit outfit, I wasn't even practicing either. I just observed everyone.
• About an hour later, 5 judges walked in. I didn't recognize the first 4, and then Yang Hyun Suk walked in, and everyone around me gasped in awe. He was the CEO of the company. All the judges had looked super professional. One of them stood up, introduced herself as one of the directors, and told us that the order would be "Dancers, Comedians, Actors, and finally the singers". It seemed like I would be sitting in this chair for awhile.
• The next few hours I saw some of the most talented people I have ever seen get rejected in the blink of an eye. Out of the 300 people who had already auditioned, maybe like 2 even got selected. I didn't stand much of a chance. I should have auditioned for a smaller company. As I was loosing all faith in humanity, it was finally the singers turns. My stomach felt awful.
• A girl who looked about my age went first, and introduced herself as Lee JinHee. Her voice was beyond beautiful, as if an angel was whispering in your ear. She bowed, and all the judges had selected her right away.
• After a few more people, it was finally my turn. "Number 356! It's your turn!"
• I feel so nervous and sick, oh well, JinAh. Just do your best, you've only got one shot. I walked on stage, and looked at the judges. They looked bored out of their minds, as if they were excited for all these auditions to end. Only person who still looked awake was the CEO.
• "What's your name?", He made it sound as if he actually cared.
• "I-Im JinAh.", I said nervously.
• "You seem on the older side of everyone auditioning, do you feel burdened?"
• "Not at all. I stand with the same chance as everyone else here sir."
• "Alright, when your ready JinAh-ssi"
• The song I had wanted to sing began. I honestly forgot the words in the first second. AH JEEZ, SO NOW YOU FORGET THE FREAKING SONG.
• Right as the judges looked as they were about to reject me, I said into the mic,"P-piano! I need a Piano!"
• 2 of the judges rolled their eyes, but the CEO just nodded, and waved the assistants over with a Grand Piano.
• I took a seat, cracked my knuckles and looked at the judges once more.

• I screwed up the first note, but as I started playing, the sad memories of the 4 years came out of their hiding spot, and my soft sounds started to sound deep and mysterious. That's when I started to sing.
• I felt my happy memories when Baekhyun and I were about 11 years old, and he started to teach me piano sound through the keys. When finally all my anger at Baekhyun, and all the feelings of hopelessness and loneliness came out. I was roaring with my anger. I got so absorbed my thought's that when the song ended, I was still in a bit of trance. I was shaking a little as I looked at the judges, who seemed a little bit awake now.
• Then I heard the CEO say something, "I've never heard this song before? Did you by chance write this?"
• "Um, I never actually wrote this down, it just came out of nowhere just now. I'm sorry."
• He looked at the other judges, who nodded in agreement and whispered,"She's a musical savant and a genius."
• "Well don't be sorry, welcome to YG Entertainment JinAh-sii!"
