나의 사랑, 나의 천사

Chapter Three: All Of Me

Sooyoung stared at her plane ticket in disbelief.
Was she really going to do this?
Yes.
Did she really tell her manager her ex's name? And what he looked like, down to the last hair?
Yes.
Did her manager actually send people to look for him, and six months later, someone actually found him? And found out where he lived, what job he had, who he hung out with, and his exact schedule?
Yes.
I must be worse than a saesang fan, she thought bitterly, wondering what Zhang Yixing's expression would be when she just randomly showed up on his doorstep. Even to her, this seemed stalker-ish.
She hadn't exactly expected her manager to take her so seriously when she told him about her ex.
"You need to smile more. You've been frowning since you broke up with him - don't you think that's a little clue that you're sad without him?" Soobin, the manager, tried to reason.
Sooyoung looked away. "I don't frown all the time. We had two different dreams - it would have never worked out between us."

She thought she'd made herself perfectly clear when she said that, but obviously not.
If you don't want to see Lay, then why are you at the airport? Waiting for the right flight, dressed up in old, ripped clothes in a effort to not be recognized?
Sooyoung ignored the voice in her head. Why was she here?
"Flight 712."
She perked up, grabbing her suitcase. It's now or never, she thought bitterly, trudging to the plane.

It'd been three weeks since Yixing had met Yon-Yin, and he wouldn't mind getting to know her more.
Maybe Chanyeol was right...maybe you do need to get over Sooyoung, the nagging voice in his head said.
Yixing scoffed at his wall. I don't want to get over Sooyoung yet. Getting out of bed, he dragged himself to his kitchen and started the coffee pot. Even though the drink had a bitter taste to it, and he usually didn't drink it, he needed something to wake him up. Within ten minutes, his kitchen held the foul smell of the coffee, and he found himself wondering why he'd even bothered buying the machine in the first place. Shrugging it off, he fixed himself a mug and grabbed a bowl of cereal, sitting down at the island.

Moments later, while Yixing was drinking the milk out of his bowl, the front door opened and slammed shut, making him acutely aware of Chanyeol as he begrudgingly cleaned up his milk mess. "Ever heard of knocking?" he muttered bitterly.
Chanyeol chuckled and helped himself to a mug of coffee - since Yixing didn't drink it much, he always made too much. "Yes. Have you talked to Yon-Yin yet?"
Yixing rolled his eyes. "I doubt she's even up yet." Who in their right minds would be up so early, calling others?
Chanyeol rose his eyebrows. "Dude, it's almost two-thirty."
Yixing choked on his coffee. "What? No, it can't be." He looked at the clock for confirmation, only to find the traitor device telling truth to Chanyeol's words. "I slept all morning? And half the afternoon?"
Chanyeol chuckled. "That's why you're drinking coffee and you look like the walking dead...I was beginning to worry about you again."
Yixing threw the younger a dirty look. "I do not look like the walking dead."
Chanyeol rolled his eyes. "Have you looked in the mirror yet? You're pale, you have huge circles under your eyes, half your hair looks like you stuck a finger in a light socket, while the other half is flat against your head, and you have dried saliva on your face."
Yixing's eyes narrowed. "I do not - oh." Shrugging, he wiped the corner of his mouth where the offending drool was.
"Hyung, you might want to look a bit decent. Yon-Yin will be here in about half an hour."
His eyes widened. "Why?"
Chanyeol chuckled. "You invited her to go ice-skating with you, remember?"
A curse left Yixing's lips, and he dashed to his room, grabbed a stack of random clothes, and rushed into the bathroom. Half an hour. Half an hour.

Yon-Yin stood on the doorstep, her fist paused over the door. Would it be considered strange if she was exactly on time? Deciding that she was over-thinking, she knocked thrice and waited.
"One moment! Chanyeol, get the hell out of my way!"
She chuckled at Lay's English. Even though he thought he was good in the language, his accent from Korea remained. It didn't bother her - she actually found it pleasant.
"Hey."
Yon-Yin looked up and smiled brightly. "Hey, you," she murmured, reaching for his hand.
Lay hesitated slightly before grabbing hers and they made way to the ice rink - which was only a few blocks away.

"So is this your first time skating?"
Yon-Yin looked up and smiled. "No. But it's been a while," she confessed, blushing lightly. "Is this yours?"
Lay chuckled. "No. I used to skate a lot in Korea, and I was quite good at it." He smiled down at Yon-Yin and gave her hand a gentle squeeze. "I'll help you, if you need it."
A small giggle escaped Yon-Yin's lips, and she rested her head on Lay's shoulder. "I probably will." She looked down at her boot-clad feet, matching pace with Lay's Vans. She smiled adorably and swung their hands back and forth between them, hoping to make the chill go away.

"Lay!" Yon-Yin smiled playfully as she skated away from him, praying she didn't fall on her bottom. "Catch me if you can!"
Yixing laughed and sped up, chasing after the girl in front of him.
No, not deja vu at all..
He ignored the snarling voice in his head and reached for Yon-Yin's waist, easing to a slow skate as he pulled her against him and kissed her forehead. "Gotcha," he murmured playfully.
Yon-Yin laughed quietly as a blush worked its way onto her cheeks. She hid her face in Lay's chest, smiling.

"Yah! I thought you were skating!"
Lay pulled away from Yon-Yin gently and glared at Chanyeol. "I thought you had errands to run, Yeol."
Chanyeol shrugged as he stepped into the rink, skating away gracefully. "I got bored."
Lay rolled his eyes and smiled apologetically at Yon-Yin. She shrugged and began skating away, glancing back teasingly. The game's still on, Lay-ssi.
Chuckling, Lay chased after her, causing a high giggle to leave her lips.

Chanyeol observed his friend interact with Yon-Yin, a pleased smile covering his face.
Maybe he was getting over SooYoung after all.
