Lesson Sixteen - Flashback
"How did you find out you fell in love with Dad?" I asked my mother. She looked me deep in the eyes. A smile on her face. "Why do you want to know?" I said nothing. She sighed. "I think you are old enough. Aren't you?" I nodded. I was old enough. 15 years old. So I finally wanted to know and it was my right to ask her this question. I was interested how my parents fell in love for each other.
"He confessed to me. We were both young and in the same age as you are in now. He was my first one." She smiled. "But I was young. You know? Innocent and a fool. I thought it would be nice trying out something new I never tried out before, so I said yes. He was quite happy about the fact I said 'yes'. In class I was like the secret crush of everyone." I grabbed a pillow and pressed it against my chest.
"But because I was young I made a lot of mistakes. I had a crush on another boy this time. This relationship between your father and me was just for fun, in my opinion. Secretly I dated this boy behind the back of your father. But somehow I realized I had stronger feelings for him than I expected. I used to talk with your father. He was quite upset I cheated on him and left." I looked her in the eyes. Shocked.
"But mom. You are together. Now. How did this happen?" She thought about it and started smiling. "I tried everything to get his attention back. Wrote him some cute letters. But that didn't impress him as much as I thought. So I was upset. One day. Our teacher had to leave early, I saw my chance. I dragged your father along with me to a secret place. He was worried. I just kissed him." She started laughing. "Oh he was so shocked about it. Then I whispered him in his ears 'I love you. Please come back to me. I miss you.'"
"This worked?" My mom nodded. "Yeah. It worked with your father. I'm happy I did it. Or else I wouldn't have you and Yongie. You are my everything. A life without you wouldn't be imagineable." She said and kissed my cheek. "It's late now. Go to bed." She still kept a smile on her face.
~ I cheated on Suho. This wouldn't work with him. Or?
