We are One...For You

“Okay. Should we still continue the sleepover tonight?” Kris asked you. Oh, yeah, right! You were gonna have a sleepover tonight at your house because of research.

“Yeah sure. This is no big deal.” You insisted.

“You sure?” he looked at you in the eyes.

“Uh, yeah.” You were caught in his stare for a while, then you looked away.

“Ok. I’m gonna go get the others.” He started leaving you in the room. You got up and got your stuff, you checked the time and it was already 4:30. It was time to go home. You rushed to your house to get things ready. You changed into something casual –white shirt with pedals. Now all you have to do was wait for them to come.

“Shin-hee ah, where are your friends? Dinners almost ready.” Your mom asked you.
“Wait umma, they’ll be here.” You replied. And after a few minutes, you heard the doorbell ring. You opened the door to see if it’s them. They were all there – Kris, Chanyeol, and Kai and Hyun-ok whom you were furious to see. If only you could kick them out of the house right now, you would definitely do it. But again, you reminded yourself why they were here, it was for good grades. You had no choice but to let them in. You tried your best to look happy.

“Hey guys.” you flashed a fake smile. “Come in.” you opened the door wide to let them in.

“Cool house Shin-hee!” Chanyeol looked around. You let each one of them pass by.Chanyeol, who was busy looking around your house, Kris, who just randomly walked in like nothing happened, Kai, who was really quiet and just tailed Chanyeol and Hyun-ok who was busy texting.

“So…Where are we gonna stay?” Hyun-ok said while holding two pink bags. ‘You are just gonna stay here for one night yet you brought stuff good for a week!’ you thought.

“Don’t worry about it, I’ll just bring your things there.” You offered them.

“Good!” Hyun-ok squealed while giving you her two bags. “I want a bed next to Kris-oppa’s.” she whispered to you and gave you a flirtatious wink. Jeez this girl, even during serious research matters, all he can think of is Kris! But you just continue dragging her stuff upstairs anyway.

You were really struggling to get a good hold of her things, both of the bags were just too heavy! You did your best to grip the bags; handles then suddenly one of it just started dragging you downstairs, losing your balance. You were about to stumble when a hand caught you from behind.

“Need help?” it was Kris. And again he saves you for the second time of the day.

“Uhm, I guess.” You said while trying to stand back up again. He started carrying one of the bags and helped you bring it upstairs. When the two of you finally arrived at the room, you just placed the bags in a corner.

“So are you ok now?” He asked you in the middle of silence inside the room.

“Yeah. Thanks again.” You smiled. He is a really caring guy.

“I saw you crying before you got unconscious. Why were you crying?” he just randomly asked. How could he be asking such a personal question?!

“Uhm…I was…I” you were stuttering, you didn’t know what to tell him. But thankfully, your mother saved you.

“Shin-he! Get down here with your friends. We are gonna have dinner now!” your mom yelled from the kitchen.

“We better go now.” You said then stormed out of the room. ‘PHEW! That was close.’ You thought. Your mom is a lifesaver.

Dinner was finally done. It was really humiliating since your mom will keep telling the guys, of weird moments you had. You were mentally facepalming yourself all the time. But it was now done and all you need to do is do your part for the research. You already saw the guys getting there tuff out.

“Ok guys. Let’s do this!” Chanyeol tried to cheer everyone up. “So Kris-hyung’s decision is Tao and Hyun-ok will do this and Kai and Shin-hee this.” he said while handling out a pile of worksheets.

“WHAT?!” you couldn’t help but yell in shock. This is so not gonna happen.

“Something wrong Shin-hee?” Chanyeol asked you. Now everyone in that room was staring at you.

“Uhm, it’s just that,…” your mind was head-over-heels trying to come up with a perfect excuse. “That’s a lot of work to do!” you finally said.

“I know right! That’s why you and Kai are working together.” Chanyeol explained.

NOOOOO! Why does this have to happen? You were gonna work alone with Kai. You still clearly remembered what happened the last day. Gosh, you hate this guy!

“Shin-hee, Kai, both of you work on the balcony.” Chanyeol said pointing outside.

You quickly grabbed the papers and placed them on the table on the balcony. You started filling the worksheets with answers, then suddenly Kai was slowly walking towards the balcony. You paused for a while. Now you were starting to regret why you even did this. You took a deep breath and continued your work. Now he sat in front of you, looking at the night sky. ‘Why is he not helping me with this?!’ you thought. But you just let him be anyway.

“Isn’t the sky beautiful?” he said, his eyes fixed on the stars above you. You chose to ignore him.

“Hey, Shin-hee, I’m sorry.” He looked at you in the eyes. ‘Oh, NOW you decided to apologize.’ You thought sarcastically. You gave him a death glare, then continued your work.

“So, this is how you wanna play it, huh?” he smirked. All of a sudden he took your pen and ran in the edge of the balcony.

“What the hell?!” you stood up and went to him to get back your pen. “Give it to me Kai!”

“NOH!” he raised his arm to make sure you won’t reach it. Damn this guy! You jumped up and down to try to retrieve it. Now both of your bodies were extremely close. But it was no use.

“What do you want? I need that pen so I can finish the work so I can finally NOT be with you!” the words in your mouth shot straight to his face.

“So you were avoiding me.” He smiled. “Say you forgive me.” He looked at you with puppy eyes.

“NO!” you shouted.

“Come on! I wouldn’t be at peace, if you won’t.” He raised his arms more. Now you had no choice. Al you want is to get the work done so you can finally be alone.

“Ok. Ok!” you gave up. “I forgive you.” you said softly. You regretted saying those words.

“What? I can’t hear you.” He sarcastically placed his ear near you.

“I said, I FORGIVE YOU!” you screamed on the top of your lungs. You didn’t care if your neighbours heard you. All you want is to get this situation over with before someone sees you two and get the wrong idea. But on the inside, you kind of felt guilty too for being overdramatic.

“Okay.” He smiled and gave you the pen. You quickly took the pen out from his hands. Both of you started sitting back again. You continued working, but he was there resting his chin on his two hands creepily staring at you. Now you were annoyed.

“Well, aren’t you gonna help me?” you asked him

“Wait, just give me a few more minutes to look at that pretty face of yours.” He smiled dreamily. ‘WTH?!’ You grabbed a piece of crumpled paper and threw it at him.

“Ouch.”

“Good. Now help!” you ordered him. He finally started working.

Finally after a few minutes, both of you were done. Well actually, it was like 90% your work, Kai was just there drabbling on the papers while staring at you. You went back in the room.

“Good job guys!” Chanyeol said. “We will pass our work first thing on Monday. Now, I’m really tired!” he yawned. ‘Auhhhh. So cuuute~’ you thought to yourself.

“I have to sleep now!” Hyun-ok barged in. “I need to have my beauty sleep.” She started twirling a strand of her blonde hair. You just rolled your eyes. You started arranging the bed sheets for everyone to sleep on.

“Let me help you with that.” Chanyeol started holding the bed sheets for you.

“Thanks.” You flashed a friendly smile at him. You saw him kind of startled and shocked.

-CHANYEOL’s POV-
Finally all the work was done! Now all left to do is rest. I saw Shin-hee arranging the bed sheets for us to sleep on. She was kind of struggling on holding the sheets while placing them on the bed. I decided to help her. Hey, the least I could do is help her at this for letting the group stay at her home for the sleepover.

“Let me help you with that.” I said.

“Thanks.” She flashed a smile at me. My heart stopped for a second. Wow! Her smile was heart-warming. I couldn’t utter a word for a second. I was speechless. The way she smiles always make me feel like this. I rarely see her smile, that’s why I am always taken aback when she poses one. After being caught deep in my thoughts, I was finally able to utter some words.

“UH, yeah…sure.” I felt my cheeks turning hot so I looked back so she won’t notice.

“You ok?” she asked suspiciously.

“I’m fine.” I said slowly going to the bed. “I’m gonna sleep now.” I said.

“Ok then. Goodnight!” she said flashing her smile again at me. I mentally panicked again. My cheeks turned red this time. I covered myself with the blanket. I started at close my eyes to sleep, but her beautiful smile keeps getting on my mind. Good luck sleeping to me now!

-YOUR POV-
It was already morning. Right now, you were in the hallway near the door waiting for the guys to get there stuff from the room. Hyun-ok already left earlier because she was to attend a morning party with her friends. All left in the room was the guys, so you decided to walk them to school since they didn’t know the directions well at your place. Finally they were now downstairs.

“Come on guys. Let’s go.” You opened the door to let them exit. Now all of you were outside walking on your way to school. It was really awkward since not one of you were talking. You almost nearing on your way to school when the guys saw someone.

“Umin-hyung!” Chanyeol yelled at the guy in the gray hoodie across the street. The guy immediately looked at our direction, shocked, and walked towards us. Umin-hyung? Xiumin from our class? More importantly, what is he doing here?

“Ahhh~ Chanyeol, Kai, Kris, Shin-hee. What you guys doing here?” he asked while high-fiving the guys.

“We just came from a sleepover at Shin-hee’s house.” Chanyeol explained.

“Hey Xiumin-hyung!” Kris called him. “Wasn’t that your house in front of–“ but before Kris could continue, Xiumin already covered his mouth. And you kind of noticed Xiumin give him a death glare.

Kris mumbled to try to get what Xiumin was talking about, and after a few seconds, Kris finally nodded his head to show that he gets what he was talking about. Xiumin finally got his hand off Kris’ mouth. Kris tried to catch his breath.

“You were saying Kris?” Xiumin asked.

“Nothing.” He replied quickly.

“Uhm, we better get going guys. We are almost there.” You interrupted.

“Yeah. Better. Bye Umin-hyung!” the guys said while waving their hands. You continued your walk until you finally arrived.

“Thanks Shin-hee for letting us stay at your house for the sleepover.” Chanyeol smiled at you.

“Least I could do.” You replied.

“Uhm, can I have your number so we can like talk more about the research?” he asked you. You don’t usually give your number to anyone, but since this was educational matters, you dialled your number in his phone.

“Thanks.” He had a huge smile on his face. You waved goodbye at them. You walked on your way back home, but you decided to take a look back to see if they already gone. They were still there but you can see Chanyeol happily text something on his phone, then Kai started running after him trying to get his phone. You smiled. Boys will always be boys.

-KAI’s POV-
Shin-hee already left. Thinking that she was already gone, Chanyeol-hyung quickly texted something to the other people:

To: Exo
Message:
GUYS! MEET ME AT THE USUAL PLACE. I HAVE GOOD NEWS! ;)
I already knew what it was. Then I started chasing Chanyeol-hyung to get his phone. I need her number badly! But Chanyeol-hyung insisted. That’s it. GAME ON! I smirked evilly.
