My Peter Pan

Chapter Two

Yuna smiled, then remembered the word he'd used in the principal's office. "Hey, Baekhyun? What did you mean when you said kkaepsong?"
He opened his mouth to reply, but the end of the first class bell went off. A grin crossed his features, and he grabbed Yuna's hand. "Come on, you can meet my friends in our next class."

"Hi, I'm Yuna, and even though my English isn't good, I hope you will...accept me into this class!" Yuna smiled, hoping to get some kind of emotion into the thirty-some bored students staring at her.
"Where are you from, Yuna?" The teacher, Mrs. Kepp, asked.
Yuna gripped the edge of the teacher's desk. "Korea. I studied English for three years, and I still am."
Mrs. Kepp gave a slight grunt. "Okay. There's a desk next to Taeyeon, if she could stand up, and it will be your seat for the rest of the school year."
Yuna looked towards the back, where Mrs. Kepp seemed to be gesturing, and found a girl standing up, with a smile on her face.
Breathing a sigh of relief, she made her way towards the girl, smiling back shyly. "Annyeonghaseyo, Taeyeon," she murmured, falling into the old habit of speaking Korean.
Taeyeon giggled, and before Yuna could correct her mistake, she murmured back, "Annyeonghaseyo. Eotteohge jinaeseyo? How are you?"
Yuna blushed, then forced herself to speak English. "I'm good. How are you?" she asked back, her words slightly slurred from her accent.
Taeyeon smiled encouragingly. "I'm doing good myself. But we should probably turn back to Mrs. Kepp before she notices we're not paying attention." She giggled quietly, her attention turning back towards the teacher.

Yuna, on the other hand, stared out the window. She'd learned this in Korea a few months ago, and the answers to the questions were slightly burned into her head from studying so much.
"Yuna!"
She jumped, having not expected the teacher's outburst.
"Why aren't you paying attention? Do you think I'm up here teaching this material, just to hear myself talk?"
She shook her head. "No, Mrs. Kepp. It's just that I learned this a few months ago in Korea."
Mrs. Kepp gave her a doubtful look. "Answer this question then." She wrote down several formulas. "Which of these is an exponential decay function?"
Yuna rose an eyebrow at the teacher. "It's obviously the third one," she said, "Because two of them aren't even a real function, and the last one's a exponential growth function."
Mrs. Kepp looked surprised that Yuna had known that. Narrowing her eyes, she huffed and erased the question. "Pay attention to my class. I will not tolerate any of my students not paying attention." With pursed lips, Mrs. Kepp went back to explaining the differences between exponential growth and exponential decay functions.
Yuna sighed and began taking notes on things she already knew, already wishing she didn't have to go to school.

"Where should we sit?"
Yuna smiled at Taeyeon. "What about with your friends?"
Taeyeon blushed. "I..I don't have any."
Yuna's smile faded as she surveyed the cafeteria. It was large, but every table was filled.
Suddenly, her eyes landed on a familiar head of dark brown hair. "Baekhyun! We can sit with him."
Taeyeon's blush deepened. "B-Baekhyun? Byun Baekhyun?"
"Yeah!" Yuna didn't miss Taeyeon's blush and giggled slightly. "It'll be alright, Tae. Come on."
Taeyeon, on the other hand, felt as if her heart would beat out. She'd had a huge crush on Baekhyun for two years. Though the latter probably didn't know who she was, she was too shy to check.

"Baekhyunnie!"
Jumping, Baekhyun looked up. "Baekhyunnie? Yuna!" he complained as his friends laughed. Secretly, he liked the nickname, but there was no way he would admit that.
Yuna giggled, then sat next to one of his friends. "Hi. I'm Yuna," she said, taking a bite of her mac and cheese.
The boy turned towards her and smiled. "Hey. I'm Lay, that's Chanyeol, and the baby-faced boy is Luhan."
Luhan turned towards Lay. "I'm not that baby faced!" he said, pouting slightly.
Yuna giggled. They must've known each other for a long time, if they feel comfortable enough to teach one another, she thought, digging into her food.
"Chen got held up in Science, early detention, so he's probably eating lunch there. He's Taeyeon's twin," Lay explained, nodding to the girl next to Yuna.
Yuna looked at Taeyeon, who looked slightly annoyed. "What'd Chen do this time?" she asked.
Lay chuckled. "He somehow managed to get Mr. Apollo mad. And he's the most even-tempered man I know!"
Taeyeon shook her head. "I swear, I'm not related to that boy."
Yuna giggled and finished her meal. She pulled out her schedule to see what class she had next. PE.
"Shooks. I guess I'll see ya in dance class then."
She jumped, not realizing that Lay was looking over her shoulder. "You take dance class too?"
Lay smiled. "Yeah. Luhan and Chanyeol take it earlier in the day than us. Chen's in our period though."
"Jaldwaessda! That's great!" Yuna blushed when she slipped again, but Lay seemed to have understood her.
"I'm from Korea, too, so I speak the language. Don't worry," he said, chuckling quietly.
Yuna smiled. "How long ago did you come here?" she asked, starting to get comfortable with the boy.
"About four years ago. My family came with Baekhyun's."
Yuna raised her eyebrows. "Jinjja? Really?"
Lay smiled. "Yeah. We've been friends since we were kids."
Yuna clapped her hands together. "That's cool!" She didn't know how to say what she really wanted to say, but she didn't want to slip into Korean again.

Lay's smile turned into a frown as the school bell went off. Sighing, he got up and lead the way to the trash, dumping his excess food. "I'll see you at dance class, Yuna," he said, clapping her shoulder gently with a smile.
Yuna blushed, nodding. Walking into the hallway, she found Baekhyun and Taeyeon. "Let's go to PE!" she said, trying to sound up beat, when in reality, she really didn't like the class.

"Everyone get in a line. I want boy next to girl."
Yuna stood next to Lay, looking down at the ground shyly. Ms. Abbott, the teacher, seemed to be the only nice teacher she'd met so far.
"Chen, since you have no partner, you'll be with Lay and Yuna."
Yuna looked up when her name was mentioned, noticing a boy stand next to her.
"Now, I want you to introduce yourself to the person next to you. Boys, the girl on your right, and girls, vise versa. Tell them something about yourself."

Yuna turned to the boy on her right first, since she already knew Lay. Undoubtedly, he was good looking. A slight blush rose to her cheeks. "Hi. I'm Yuna. I just moved here from Korea, so my English isn't that good."
The boy smiled adorably. "That's fine. I speak Korean as well. I'm Chen, and I think you may have met my sister, if Lay's telling me the truth."
Lay chuckled next to them. "I am! We met at lunch, while you were busy with early detention."
Yuna giggled. "I met her in Math."
Chen smiled, then turned back to Ms. Abbott.
"For the rest of the year, the person you just introduced yourself to will be your partner," Ms. Abbot said. "You will each choose a song to dance, and within two months, have the choreography ready. I'll be here, if you need any help, but this class is mainly for you. The studio will be open until six tonight, and opens at six every morning. Since there are so many people in this class, if you want to use the studio after school hours, between 3 and 6pm, you must RSVP. And no, I will not permit you to switch partners. If you must, you can team up with others, but remember who your partner is by the time you're done. Dance covers are welcome, if you must. You are dismissed."

Yuna turned to the boys next to her. Technically, school was officially over. Dance class counted as a credit, but it was up to the students to come up with the choreography, or do a dance cover. Either way was fine by her.

"I think we should do a dance cover," Lay said, walking with Chen and Yuna in the hall.
Chen frowned. "Why don't we make up our own choreography? It'd be more unique."
Lay furrowed his eyebrows. "But much harder - and we only have two months to get used to it and in sync."
Chen turned to Yuna. "Why don't we ask Yuna?"
A blush crept on her cheeks. "I agree with Lay - since it's a short time. And, to make it unique, since all of us speak Korean, why don't we use that to our advantage? Choose a K-pop song."
Both boys blinked. They hadn't thought of K-pop as an option, though it seemed simple. The other students would probably be using songs sang in English, and if they wanted to stand out, the easiest way would be to use a song in a different language.
"But what song? And by who?" Chen challenged, looking at Yuna.
Yuna shrugged. "It could be Girls' Generation, it could be Super Junior, it could be EXO. I don't really care, as long as you two agree on something." She acted exasperated, but really, she was enjoying their banter.
"Not Girls' Generation - all their dances are girly," Lay said, scrunching his nose.
"Most of them," Chen corrected. "Some are boyish, but I agree. I like History by EXO, and Sorry Sorry by Super Junior."
"I prefer Growl or Wolf. The word 'sorry' is repeated in Super Junior's song too many times for my liking," Lay countered, pursing his lips.
"Don't forget MAMA and Overdose. Those ones are good, too."
"Or we could do Mr Mr. The Boys sounds like a good idea, too," Yuna teased, giggling when she imagined Chen and Lay doing the dance moves.
Chen and Lay gaped at the girl between them. "No!"
Yuna laughed. "Then agree on one. Maybe two, cos we can remix the songs together. I like all those songs, but if it were just me, I'd do Wolf or History."
Lay clapped Yuna's shoulder. "How about we all think about it, then see what we have in a few days?"
Yuna smiled. "Okay. I'll see you guys later," she said, waving. She started walking home when she heard someone call her name.
"Yuna! Han Yuna!"
Turning, Yuna found Baekhyun running towards her. "Baekhyunnie!" she said, smiling widely.
He smiled back. "Hey you," he said, poking her nose gently. "Wanna ride home?" He held up his skateboard, his smile widening.
Yuna's eyes lit up. "Really?" A squeal left her lips when he set it down, but didn't stand on it, and without hesitating, she got up and grabbed Baekhyun's hand eagerly. "Idong!Idong!" she said, not bothering to correct her Korean for 'go! go!'

Notes

Hiiiii :D
lol don't you just love it when you can tell a teacher off like that? lmao
What do you think about Lay's character? :) and Chen's? ^-^
Now, you guys probably noticed I used EXO :) it's going to be just one band in this story, with Xiumin, Suho, Kai, Tao, Kris, D.O, and Sehun :) And Girls' Generation is just Seohyun, Tiffany, Yuri, Yoona, Jessica, SooYoung, Sunny, and Hyoyeon :)

I know I didn't add much of Baekoppa in the chapter, but I wanted to introduce the other main characters :)
So...I know what song they're going to dance to, but do you have any suggestions? ^_^

Ps:

"Baekhyunnie? Yuna!"

"Hey you."

"That's fine. I speak Korean as well. I'm Chen, and I think you may have met my sister, if Lay's telling me the truth."

"Hey. I'm Lay, that's Chanyeol, and the baby-faced boy is Luhan."

Hey guys!
idk if you're still waiting for more chapters (bless your souls if you are), but I'm moving My Peter Pan to my new account, as Google is no longer a valid option as a way to sign in, I have (as a result) lost this account :3 this story will be revised a bit, but I will try my best to continue it ^_^

@Bambii
You can always change something. It may take time to think. As an author of the story, you can control anything. :)

@My_Lover_Lay
omg you're too nice :3 the plot is literally all over the place though, and it's making writing it really difficult (hence the informal hiatus) :3

@Angiet0903
uhhhhh...she's her own character though? :3 unless you meant who she was supposed to be with?
In the middle of writing this story, my bias changed from Chen to Yixing, which wasn't very helpful :3 but um yeah..by the last chapter I've written (Twelve) she's with Lay, though she was with Chen for a while~

I'm confused I read all of it but
who is she supposed to be Chen or Lay
